Thor POV

Everyone soon reached Uppsala none of the Asgardians ever asked for sacrificing anything at least we didn't but the chances of imposters doing it were great. We watched as the priest pray as he flicked blood on Ragnar, Bjorn, Gyda, Lagertha, and Athelstan.

Sig and Val scoffed at it as they were seeing this even mother found amusement in seeing all this as we soon saw Athelstan looking at a statue of Thor as Ragnar and Bjorn were next to him with Bjorn questioning "Do you know who that is ?"

Athelstan looking at the statue said "Of course. This is Thor, holding his hammer, Mjollnir. Who hasn't heard him beating his anvil in the storm? Who doesn't believe in mighty Thor, slayer of frost and fire?"While he subtly looked at me as I just gave smile and watched on as Ragnar was praying "Lord of lords, father, hear my prayer. Let me understand your will. Is it true that I shall have more sons like the seer says? Accept the sacrifice I plan to offer you... And then answer me.Who will bear me my son?

Val slightly scowled "Can't he think anything except for getting sons."

Soon after everyone went and settled in with Rollo and siggy Ragnar and his men were howling, barking, and laughing as Ragnar asked Bjorn " Can you feel it, Bjorn? Can you sense the presence of the gods gathering here? They have left their bright halls to see us." Torstein laughed and said" They are here for sure. They walk among us."This only made Largetha and Athelstan slightly thinking how they will react when they realize.

Leif added in "And make their judgments on us. So when do we offer our sacrifices?" Arne told everyone "At the end of the festival." Torstein added in "And in the meantime, we celebrate the gods and enjoy their presence in any way we can." with that both chuckled as Ragnar said," Give Athelstan a drink."

But during the whole celebration grew silent as suddenly above Athelstan a holographic symbol of a spindle wheel and Thor's hammer Mjolnir appeared also there were multiple runes connected to Frigga and Thor appeared below the symbol making everyone stunned at the whole thing as I looked at Mother who just gave me a smile as there priest who at the temple saw this as I asked: "Do you dare to sacrifice him now Priest after all he is under the direct protection of Frigga all mother herself. She has accepted him even if he was an outsider."

The priest could only gulp in fear as he recognized those symbols and runes he knew if Athelstan was sacrificed both Thor and Frigga's wrath will be upon them even Ragnar who was getting ready to sacrifice Athelstan was scared as a voice echoed in their minds in ancient Scandinavian "None shall be sacrificed by the will of Odin."

I looked at mother who had a slight glint in her eyes as I felt many eyes on me as I made sure to ignore it and Athelstan walked towards us and said"I am really thankful for what you did today."Frigga smiled and replied "Athelstan you have slowly become a part of our family. So no matter what you are under our protection."

I kept away from Hroik as the guy was going to meet Ragnar and he also wanted to meet me having heard of rumors about me being a descendant or reincarnation of Thor and my ability to wield lightning.

I knew Horik will send Ragnar as his emissary to speak with Jarl Borg a powerful and important leader in Götaland.I had other things to worry about as I sensed magic and it belonged to the Siedr'ss and one thing is for sure because of our interference they are angry.I looked at Sig and Val who looked alert as they were able to sense it too.

Sig whispered, "Those seidr's are here for sure they lost their emotion and lost control of their magic. Which means we made them really angry" Val nodded and added, "They will make a move soon."

Frigga who was thoughtful said,"They are angry because the sacrifice didn't go through."Sig questioned in confusion "What does the sacrifice have to do with this?"

I explained, "They're some sort of boundary spell around Uppsala when these people are sacrificed the seidr's are able to increase their lifespan. They must have introduced this whole sacrifice thing to fool the mortals." I shook my head and thought " By the end of the pilgrimage, seventy-two beings are sacrificed. Their bodies are hanged in a sacred grove adjacent to the temple. The trees in the grove are believed to be holy because of the death or putrefaction of the sacrificial victims seidr's really used them."

Frigga nodded and as I said, "But now that we interfered they will show themselves."Val grinned and said, "I want to see how good these seidr's are ?"

Sig added, "I want to really teach them a lesson for acting as us."I cracked my knuckles and replied "We will teach them."
