Chapter 10

[A/N:I write this just for fun so just read this just pass time.I rushed and wrote this rough draft since I have class. Also should I reveal MC being a god to Floki and Ragnar.]

Thor POV

The moment we returned we were given a huge welcome everyone was quite enjoying this moment as I thought about what Haraldson will do since knut was killed by lighting even he calls a trial it will be for nothing. Haraldson soon came towards us he smiled and said"Ragnar and Thor, my friends, how was your Voyage? Successful I hope for all our sakes."

Ragnar who dropped the loot in front of the jarl replied "The Saxons attacked us when we returned to the boat in great force."

I thought "That was just a small one actually."

Ragnar told how we defeated them but the Jarl with a forced smile said: "I am happy to salute your achievements and to share in the profit of your raid."Haraldson then looked around and questioned, "But I don't see my friend Knut where is he ?"

I innocently replied, "Knut is dead poor man was hit by lighting and did not survive."When everyone heard this there was murmuring amongst the crowds as Haraldson glared at me knowing it has something to do with me but couldn't as he saw all of the members of Ragnar's Warband was nodding there heads seeing this he knew a trial is not possible with no witness also questions will be raised on what knut did to earn Thor's wrath to actually kill.

It was true everyone who angered or irritated Thor were almost hit by lighting but never did someone from their own village die because of it seeing how every one of Ragnar's Warband and including mine had a look of disgust when mentioning Knut had been noticed by some of the villagers which caused more whispers in the crowd.

Haraldson who knew this was getting out of his hand and went back since he couldn't do anything but just from his thoughts he intended to attack Ragnar but he had was hesitant is attacking me but will attack me if I protect Ragnar.

I was returning to our home, which we had made next to Lagertha's as soon as we reached Bjorn and Gyda came running with Bjorn hugging Lagertha, and Gyda came and hugged me.I saw my mother smiling at the interaction.

Frigga, whose eyes were focused on Lagertha as she thought, "If my guess is right, then I would have to consult with Hemidal once he is awakened."For Frigga Lagertha was too similar to certain Asgardian, even her friendship with Val while Thor feeling attracted to her was too much of a coincidence.

I smiled and asked, "So little valkyrie, how have you been."Gyda who was smiling, replied, "Grandma told us lots of stories also with Athelstan."I smiled replied, "Is that so? Did you miss us little Valkyrie?"

Gyda pouted and said, "Of course I did now, don't forget you promised to teach me how to fight."Ragnar soon visited as he had come to spend time with his kids but when he was leaving Bjorn wanted to go with him which Lagertha agreed since she was not against Bjorn spending time with his father.

Since Bjorn was going to Ragnar's place, I had some of my warriors protect them but mainly Bjorn since Ragnar can take care of himself.

That night Lagertha told the kids about fighting enemy Saxons I thinking "I should just make sure the personal between Ragnar and Hardson take place."

I was broken out of my thoughts when I heard Lagertha ask "Are you okay Thor? You seem lost."I gave a nod as I replied, "Haraldson won't stay quiet he will attack us since I did kill his half brother."Val shrugged and replied, "Then we fight simple as that."

Sig muttered, "As long as I get to fight, then there is no problem."

Lagertha was concerned and asked, "Will he attack Ragnar since Bjorn went with him."

I nodded and replied, "Yes he will that is why I sent my warriors to look after him and Lagertha I want you to stay with Gyda ."Lagertha was about to object, but I continued, "It is not because you are weak or anything. It is because there is a chance of Haraldson taking Gyda hostage."Lagertha could see I was not against her fighting but is just looking out for her daughter so she accepted

But the next day, news came about Ragnar's village getting attacked as very concerned Lagertha who was worried about Bjorn I assured her, "Don't worry, Bjorn is safe. I had sent a few of my people to protect him from the message I got from them it seems Ragnar escaped with Bjorn and is on his way to Floki."Each Asgardian has enchanted runes etched on their skin so they can contact one another.

Lagertha sighed in relief, but she was still concerned about her son as she wanted to go to Floki.

It did take long as we were alerted Haralson's Warband coming towards us as I said"Let's get this over with don't show any mercy."Val nodded since he knew thor was angry will not let this go since

I was using a sword as the battle began as they reached us, it was complete chaos as I channeled lighting through my sword, cutting down or plunging my sword into enemies left and right without one ounce of mercy.

Val was using a spear and she was the same, killing them with fast stabs with the return are mostly like a snake striking and then whipping back out of reach. Another of jarl's men tried to attack, only for Val to use a spear sweep to knock down the enemy, then quickly stabbing them, taking out Haralson's Warband one by one.

Sig was using his sword which he was cutting through these people like paper while effectively dodging incoming attacks. The Asgardian archers quickly took down Haraldson's archers and men without a problem the battle was quickly becoming one-sided.

Haraldson who saw that his Warband was getting completely massacred, did not try retreat but instead, he charged at me with his horse. I saw that I quickly took an axe from a nearby dead body and threw it straight at his horse killing throwing Haraldson off as I slowly walked towards a groaning Jarl as I kneeled in front of him and wiped the blood off my face and asked: "You know it was very foolish of you to attack me, Haraldson."

Haraldson who was scared at first gathered courage and spoke "I know Ragnar Lothbrok is hiding here and since he escaped me he would obviously come here."

I looked at him with amusement and asked "Sorry to disappoint you Ragnar is not here so return home." Ragnar will not endanger Gyda by coming here at least that will be his reasoning.I knew the second I killed him, the Jarl position will be handed to me since I had the influence and power, and being jarl is not something that interested me.

Haraldson was surprised and confused as he slowly got up and went to the horse one of my men brought as he quickly rode away.I knew reading his mind since he couldn't get anyone close to Ragnar like his children to lure him out but now he will be going after Rollo.

I turned to see Lagertha coming towards me obviously still concerned as she asked "Can we please go to Floki's place I want to see if Bjorn is not hurt."

I replied, "Don't worry we will go to Floki's place to see Bjorn ourselves."Lagertha nodded hearing that we soon got ready to go to Floki's.
