(Important notice: in the next chapters there will be a lot of deaths, so to make the story a little more balanced, I'm going to create a little drama, leave a comment (: thanks for reading)
Thomas and Elizabeth entered the portal together, the sensation was as if they had been caught by an extremely strong current of water, shortly after Thomas opened his eyes he realized that he was in a large field, he looked at Elizabeth and noticed that she was very dizzy and asked him in a worried tone:
"Are you okay?"
Elizabeth looked at Thomas and asked:
"Aren't you dizzy?"
Thomas said:
"Not"
The two looked into each other's eyes for a while until Elizabeth sighed and said:
"OK, let's go"
Brian, Amanda and Annabelle who was in front of them, were busy looking at something, Thomas and Elizabeth with curiosity, looked in the same direction as them, both Thomas and Elizabeth were surprised, the gym was on the highest peak in Washington, and the view it was of the entire city, including the view of the famous White House.
Jade interrupting them saying:
"I know it's a beautiful sight, but we must go soon, the duels will start soon!"
All the students regained their focus and started walking towards the entrance of the academy. When they arrived at the entrance, someone welcomed them, it was a school instructor who said:
"Welcome to 'Olympus', we are very happy to welcome the students of the unit for a friendly between schools."
Jade replied:
"The honor is ours, we in the unit feel honored to be able to fight with the award-winning olympus!"
The instructor would nod his head and say:
"Then please let's go inside!"
The students entered one by one and as they were entering, Annabelle asked:
"So it's going to be one on one... Do you already know who your opponents are?"
Brian answered your question:
"The list hasn't come out yet, but the duels will start at 14:00, and now it's 12:14, so they should announce it soon."
Thomas heard and asked something:
"Damn, why was I chosen? I'm an F rank..."
Annabelle smiling, replied:
"You defeated Elizabeth, so it's normal that you're the chosen one!"
Thomas heard the answer and said in an implausible tone:
"But she surrendered!! And she was called to duel anyway... No offense Elizabeth"
Elizabeth sighed and said:
"No problem, I honestly didn't want to participate, but they made me... Hey Thomas, shall we surrender?"
Thomas heard Elizabeth's absurd question and asked her:
"Why do you want to surrender?"
Elizabeth sighed again and said:
"Because of you..."
Thomas and the others did not understand and Thomas asked in a hurried tone:
"Why my cause?"
Elizabeth looked at him and said casually:
"Having to wake up every day at 4 am to see you makes me tired, you know?"
Thomas quickly spoke in a sad tone:
"Sorry, let's cut back on how often we meet..."
Brian, Amanda and Annabelle looked at the two shocked, and Amanda spoke in a shocked tone:
"So they're really dating?!"
Thomas looked at Amanda and explained the reason for the meetings:
"We're both training together, no big deal!"
Annabelle spoke in a sad tone:
"So that's why you stopped training with me..."
Thomas, who felt a great guilt in his heart, immediately tried to explain:
"It's just that you're too good for me, it's not that I don't like training with you, it's just that I wanted to get stronger..."
Annabelle looked at him saying:
"So you trust someone you've known for a month, instead of trusting me, who you've known for years..."
Thomas hearing this, tried to say something, but Annabelle quickly started to increase the frequency of her steps as she got lost in the crowd. Thomas tried to follow her, but was stopped by Brian, and Thomas said angrily:
"Let me go after her to explain!"
Brian sighed and said:
"You're just going to screw things up more buddy..."
Thomas was shocked and when he was going to respond, Amanda intervened saying:
"He's right, although you have a reason, you ignored her feelings, just let her have her time..."
Thomas lowered his head and said:
"All right..."
Amanda smiled at Thomas and said:
"I'm going to check on Annabelle, and you try to apologize next time and not make excuses, okay?
Thomas would nod and Brian would give him a light punch on the arm and say:
"I know what you're feeling, just relax a bit and then go talk to Annabelle ok?"
Thomas waved and started walking without saying anything, Brian and Elizabeth who were with him, decided to let Thomas have his time...

Arriving inside a giant arena that looked like a coliseum, all students entered, both from the unit and from Olympus, sat down and waited for the announcements that would be made by the director of Olympus.
After Thomas sat down next to Elizabeth and Brian, he would ask:
"Will she forgive me?"
Brian reassured him by saying:
"Sure man, you're best friends right? It happens to everyone, even Amanda and I had our ups and downs, just be yourself."
Thomas gained some hope and said to himself mentally:
'it's going to be okay, it's going to be okay.'
Elizabeth just watched him without saying anything.
Suddenly a man arrived in the middle of the arena and spoke with the microphone in his hand:
"I, director of the acclaimed Olympus, am honored to announce the start of friendlies!"
Fireworks and a song were played to synchronize and cause more emotion.
The whole crowd started to celebrate, the reason was simple, union and olympus have been in rivalry for years, to know which is the best academy, and throughout the year, they make friendlies between the academies, where in each period of the championship, a series will face the other, but at that point it will be first year against first year.
The director of the academy went on to say:
"Look on the big screen and see the competitors of olympus and unity!"
Thomas looked at the screen and the fights were already decided:
Brian x Sam
elizabeth x saori
Amanda x Ivan
Annabelle x Amelia
thomas x jacob
Thomas looked at the fights and sighed saying:
"I'm not in the mood to fight..."
elizabeth listened and said to him:
"You can surrender along with me."
Thomas immediately said:
"I can't do this! All that month of beatings I took from you must be good for something!"
Elizabeth secretly smiled and said:
"Then do your best."
Thomas was saying as he pounded his fist into his palm:
"OK!"
