Chapter 7

The building was filled with mercenaries as Eddie had already talked about the money with Gods Hand leader Aamir,he was dreaming about wealthy lifestyle as suddenly the lights went out he was confused and told

Outside the building a mercenary stood watch,he failed to notice someone walking to him with a combat knife in hand before the guard was grabbed by the mouth and his throat slit making him groan before he was dropped like a puppet. The person was kage fully equipped in his gray ninja suit who took his key card and used it to enter the building as the suit turns to black and then disappears in the shadows.

Inside the building the mercenaries were patroling the place as the power was shut off.

Eddie asked in confusion"What the fuck?Someone go check what happened to the power?" before he looked outside his office and then.All hell broke loose as there is a whistle of metal and suddenly one of the mercenary head got severed as it tumbled into the ground.Before the other mercenary could react the blade swings again, slicing through the body of the mercenary as if it were barely there, coming out the other side as the mercenaries body erupts as it falls in two pieces

The others who saw this started firing everywhere in fear as rain of shuriken strike muscles, tendons, flesh.It was basically a massacre as some got dragged into the shadows by chains and only screams could be heard.

Eddie yelled in rage"Don't screw with me?'before grabbing his pistol and ran outside his office looking around he found the power switch and turned it on turning the lights back on and widened his eyes in shock. All the mercenaries he had hired were dead. Not a single one left alive,most of them cut in half.

Eddie in fear runs to door to escape only suddenly someone grabbed him by the neck slammed him into the wall as Kage asked in cold tone"Where is the data?If you say the truth I will let you live."

Eddie wavering tone replied"It's in the safe,Just don't kill me."

Kage plunged a kunai into his shoulder and questions"What is the code?"Eddie groaning in pain said"5796"

Kage dragged him to the safe and checked seeing the code is real as Eddie said"See its real now let me go."

Kage simply replied"I lied."as he stabbed the lunar into his skull.

After the mission he returned the data back to the general and returned back to home only to see a very anxious and worried on seeing ran and hugged him crying on his shoulder as she mattered"Rex he is gone."

Kage's eyes widened as he calmed her down as shr explained the fact Rex was killed in bombing and they couldn't even recover his body.From then things went down as Ana spiraled into depression having lost her only blood relative,it took seeing the psychologist and comfort from Kage to get her back to her old self.But another thing came in between them it was Kage was getting more missions making it hard for him to balance out his personal and professional life.Even though he didn't neglect her or anything because of her previous depression Ana was still having hard time.

Kage after a mission had returned home to find Ana's things gone and letter on table as it said"Dear Alex… I can't begin to thank you for how you've changed my life, and picturing you not in it breaks my heart, but I need to let you go. From the first time we met, you saw me in a way no one had in a long time. Not even myself. Since then, we've made so many memories — some that still make laugh, some I'll never forget,And now I feel because of me you are shackled with me. The problem is me not you, and we both need to move forward. As much as I want you in my life, I can't right now, and I hope you understand why."

Kage took a breath as he muttered"Looks like I am a shit boyfriend."

Kage tried to call Ana but their was not reply as week passed by and he tried to call her multiple times nothing came of it.It didn't help every he looked he remembered her face and good times he had with her,he soon drowned himself in work as the company was advancing well.

One person noticed this and it was the general as he said"I don't know what your going through kid,but you should take break for while.I will call you if any thing serious comes up."

Kage nodded as he returned to his apartment and feeling like shit he decided to move out of the apartment since this place reminded him too much about his girlfriend.
