Truth.
..
I was currently in bed and it was about 4am and I still hadn't fallen asleep. I had no clue why but I decided I would just get out of bed and stand at the balcony for a bit.
I was in a white nightdress that swayed in the cold night breeze.
"I love you.." I replayed the words Tess said as she left the balcony from before.
'What does that mean? Should I ask or do studying on the subject I wonder.' I though as I lent against the balconies railing.
'I don't understand..'
I stood there with my hair swaying in the breeze and the stars shining bright in the night sky.
'I don't know who to trust. Who to care for. Should I even help those I know and care for?' I thought to myself.
I walked back inside and made my way to the door. I was going to go on a short walk. Probably fly a little.
I heard the rustling of duvet covers so I turned to face who I had woken.
"Kiera.. where are you *yawn* going?" Tess said sleepily as she sat up and slid out from under the covers.
"Out." I replied.
"Where to?" She asked with a small tilt of her head and she started rubbing her eyes.
"Anywhere my body takes me." I relied.
"Dressed like that? It's cold outside you know."
"I'll be fine. Go back to sleep this doesn't concern you."
"Can I tag along?"
"If you want. I don't care." I said as I walked to the door and opened it. Tess came up from behind me and exited just after I did.

We were walking through the fields of kerose academy and my body was subconsciously taking me towards a forest area just ahead.
"Hey Kiera." Tess began.
"Yes."
"Is it alright with you if you could.. tell me what happened. You've changed since you've came back. I'm worried for you."
"Does it bother you?" I asked. Turning my blank face that held no signs of emotion towards Tess.
"Honestly it does. I want to help. Even if it's just a small amount but you know, venting emotions can help you in ways you otherwise wouldn't realise. I'm your friend.. I'm here for you."
"Is this why you wanted to join me? To get me to speak?"
"No, I didn't mean it in that wa-"
"If you really must know I might as well tell you. I'll trust you. If you break this trust then don't expect me to trust you again."
"Thank you Kiera."
"I'll make it short. My soul isn't from this planet. It's from somewhere entirely different. I don't have any memories from my time on that planet other than how I died. I was taken by some random people and experimented on while awake with no painkillers or anything. I could feel everything. I'd be tied to a metal table and cut up and injected with things that caused me immense pain. I went through that for years. Eventually I stopped showing my emotion and the pain felt almost non existent as I had gotten used to it."
I took a brief pause as I felt the shackles surrounding my emotions locked within jingle as if they were trying to free themselves. Trying to escape..
"Eventually I died and I cannot say what happened after but after that 'process' I was reborn as who I am now. During my time in the dungeon it transformed into a dungeon way above what was expected. The boss monster was at the rank of A+. It expanded its domain which caused life like illusions in my mind taking the form of my worst fear. I only had one fear and that was finding out that I was still there.. still shackled and experimented on.. still in pain. The illusion engulfed my entirety and everything that happened in there felt real.. I could feel the pain but it never died down. I was in that illusion for years on end but outside of the illusion only a minute passed. I locked up my emotions. I'm not letting them free. I'd be consumed by them. By the time I woke up I had blood on my hands and the boss was dead yet I got no EXP. something probably interfered but that's okay." I finished.
"Done. That's what you wanted."
"I- Kiera. I had no clue.."
"Nobody knows but you and maybe someone else but I'm not entirely sure."
"I'm sorry.." Tess said as she ran to me and rapped me in her arms.
"What is this for?"
Tess didn't reply as she buried herself in the crook of my neck.
We stood like that for a while before Tess pulled away.
"Kiera.."
"Yes?"
"Thank you." She said as she looked slightly up at me. "Thank you for trusting me.."
"Uh huh. I'm going to continue my walk. Do what you want." I said as I walked into the forest.
The trees were nice and tall and the ground was littered with ferns and bushes with various flowers or mushrooms.
I walked through the forest for a while and could hear Tess's light footsteps just behind me.
'Tess said this would help but nothing changed. Only that I've told someone about this..' I thought as I jumped up and sat on a branch.
I sat there as Tess joined me and rested her head on my shoulder.
'She is a bit close.' I though as I continued to look into the endless night sky.
"Why haven't you told anyone about this?" Tess asked my in a soft voice.
"I had no reason to."
"Will you tell anyone else?"
"Most likely not."
We sat there in silence for half an hour before I decided to return back to the dorms and fall asleep.
