Chapter 10: The Meeting
"I finally found you, Monster" Hiroko said in an angry tone,
Let's get back about 5 hours ago...
After Hiroko had set out to find the giant, Hiroko ordered his men to spread in every direction,to further enhance the speed of finding their target,and they also prepared a talisman which is used to track the enemy and inform the others of their whereabouts.
After the they left, Hiroko goes to the northern part of the dark forest secretly, hoping to find the Giant himself,while venturing to the north, Hiroko heard a loud screeching sound charging towards him,Hiroko Dodged at the crucial moment before the creature manage to hit him,hiroko managed to get glimpse at the creature from afar and he recognize the creature and it was none other than the undead phantom vulture,
These types of undead usually form in groups
and prey on any living or dead creatures in sight,just as Hiroko thought that the vulture is alone,that's where he miscalculated, another group of vultures appeared,
"This is annoying"Hiroko said frowning,
The vultures attacked without a a second thought,rushing at lightning speed at Hiroko he managed to Dodge, and throwing a kunai,towards one of them,successfully hitting one,
The kunai buried itself inside,the vultures laughed as to why their prey,threw a piece of metal towards them despite knowing they're undead, they can't feel any pain at all,
Hiroko grinned and said, "purify"
And an explosion happened between the flock of vultures,some managed to survive but was left with burns,and some who were not within range were fortunate,
(The undead phantom vultures are mostly resistant to most attacks,both in physical and magical, and the only way to harm them is to use holy magic or techniques)
(If you don't have any of those,then the other option is to have a superior strength and keep hitting them until their bones will break into tiny bits of pieces (easier said than done),)
This enraged the flock,after seeing their kin die in front of them,they screeched in unison simply calling for more reinforcements,
"Shit! they're calling for help,damnit! I can deal with all of their species no problem,but the problem is the nearby monster's will be attracted to the noice,I better get out of here before the problem escalates even further" Hiroko said,
Hiroko ran through the forest to give him time and a little distance to escape,but the vultures won't let that happen,they breath undead flames,that causes air poisoning after the organisms affected by the flames decay,and a very deadly one at that,
Hiroko frowned as he knew that unlike normal fire the undead fire releases poison after impact in the surrounding the areas,making it difficult for him to move while holding his breath,
Normal poison cannot affect Hiroko even the slightest,but some poison are too dangerous for him,just like the undead poison even though it's poisonous it can still be prevented just by holding your breath,since vultures are very large in size, they're still considered low ranks,due to their poison being mediocre,
They simply rely on their size, endless stamina and numbers to hunt their prey,rarely using their poison unless one of their kin dies,
Moving forward,
The pursuit of the vultures were relentless,Hiroko managed to lose some of them by using some of his clones as bait,but their numbers are still too many and some Even managed to regroup,
"Damnit, they're relentless"Hiroko said
As hiroko started to lose hope,he had no choice but to fight them, attracting beast nearby,
Hiroko started to think he no longer had a choice but to fight,he then spotted the vermilion birds a mile away,the vermilion birds are territorial and aggressive due to its fiery nature, and their arch nemesis were the undead,
Hiroko smiled,he thought of a brilliant idea,
He plans on leading the vultures towards the vermilion birds causing a war,and take advantage of the situation to escape.
He turned himself into a shadow panther and ran towards the vermilion birds,
The vermilion birds spotted him along with the leader of the undead phantom vultures,the leader of the vermilion birds screeched loudly alerting the others,
Hiroko used his concealement technique and hid inside the shade of the trees, turning himself into a shadow, the vultures didn't know they were tricked and unexpectedly the vermilion birds ambushed them,
The vultures who had no choice but to fight abandoned the thought of avenging their kin and went to battle against the vermilion birds,
Now in the midst of the Chaos Hiroko successfully escaped,he then proceeded his journey to find the giant,
After he escaped he looked for traces of the giant,but there was nothing,he encountered beasts but and monster which he singlehandedly defeated, but no Matter where he goes there was not a single hint that could help him find even a single trace of the giant,
Be then walked a little deeper within the forest,and discovered new species which he never knew existed,
But he didn't let those distract him from his goal,to find the Giant and slay it for the sake of his fallen brother,
He then looked for clues of the giant,but sadly there's still nothing,but still he didn't lose hope just yet,
He went deeper through the forest,there he met giant creatures he never knew existed and he was in a deep trance, by the time he realized it,he found himself lost,
Not knowing the dangers he will meet,he braced himself if by any chance he meets powerful monsters that will be powerful enough to make him use up all his powers before meeting the giant,
He then started to imagine the outcome of his fight against the giant,will he win or will he lose just thinking about it makes his blood boiling in adrenaline,
Just as he was nearing a pond,he heard a loud Bang! In the distance,he followed where the sound came from, there a little distance he smelled something,the smell is similar to cooked meat he followed the smell,
And there he was the Giant, eating the legendary mountain bull,anger seeps into his veins he could no longer contain his emotion and finally confronted the Giant and said
"I finally found you, monster!"he said in a very angry tone.
