Not much appeared as Ryou had expected, the alias does not even have my name written so I think I can take whatever name I wish.

'Now, magic and skills are empty, I think I just have the knowledge, so I still have to learn to use them practically.

My mystic eyes and magic circuits are sealed and blocked, how I unlock my mystic eyes I still do not know, but for the circuits if I'm not mistaken I have to just pass mana through them, I'll try it later' thought Ryou.

Soon afterwards he began to observe his appearance which was on paper in more detail.

"Hmmm, I physically changed a lot" he said, but he was not bothered by the changes.

Then he began to do as the old man had told him and began to search in his mind for the spells and mage crafts embedded therein.

He went through all possible spells and then decided which he would start off learning.

"For now, we'll start learning Runes, Transmutation magic and Magecraft reinforcement are the ones that seem most useful for the moment" said Ryou.

"With the requests I've made this body should withstand long periods without food, so I'll stay in this cave for a while, expanding my magical repertoire before leaving," Ryou said, continuing speaking to himself as he entered a little further into the cave.

Once further into the cave he found a cosy nook and starts attempting to do what was imprinted by the old man in his memory.

"First I have to start feeling the atmospheric mana and pull it into me, then using it to activate my magic circuits," Ryou said, he then sat down in a meditative position and closed his eyes.

He revised and reviewed what was in his mind on how to feel the magic and gradually his conscience was calmed, as he attuned himself, Ryou began to feel a warm mist of varying colors surrounding him. He attempted to breathe in through his pores, and after a while some of the mist entered him.

Ryou felt a warm flow throughout his body. But that lasted only a few seconds and pain started screaming from every nerve, Ryou felt that small insects were coming through the veins of his body and eating their way out

As energy coursed through his body, jagged blue lines began to appear originating from his heart and spreading throughout his body.

Although the painful process seemed to last for hours, in a few minutes it was completed and he was left lying on the floor soaked in his own sweat, and with bloody palms.

'Well, I'll go to sleep first then I'll see what's changed' he thought and then promptly passed out.

...….

hours pass

Ryou finally woke up after sleeping for quite some time, he stood up and started examining his body.

There was a large, complex serulean tattoo that covered his entire left forearm

'Is it possible to have a magic crest of this size?' thought Ryou

"Well, now let's see how many circuits I have," Ryou said, and then sat down in a meditative pose again

As before he started to try to pull Mana to his body only now it is far easier than before, and without the crippling pain

Upon the Mana entering his body the circuits begin to appear again, he closed his eyes and begins to count them.

1,2,3,4 ... 10,11,12 .... 45,46,47

47 magic circuits

His expression did not change much, but Ryou was very happy, although not a huge amount of circuits it was a good start. There was still a lot more that could be done to further increase his magic circuits, therefore it became only a matter of time and effort for him to increase them.

"Now that I have the magic crest I can begin to learn magecrafts, the origin magic spells seem very complicated so I'll leave it to study them over time," said Ryou to himself.

'Now I have to decide which magecraft to start with,' thought Ryou.

"Well, we'll start with what looks cooler, the Runes," Ryou said, and then began his research through his mind about the concepts, creation, and improvement of Runes.

....

Several months passed

Ryou studying everything everything he could about Runes.

With this effort he had already analysed the ancient Runecraft to a degree but he still could not understand the primitive Runes completely.

In the midst of Rune training he tried to take a look at his mind Library again and while scrolling through the list of imprinted magecrafts he noticed that there was a magic of parallel thinking, this made him somewhat curious and he could not resist trying it out.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch" Ryou cried. It seems magicrafts were implemented by hard coding the spell into one of his magic circuits. This was quite the masochist technology here. However after the pain he was able to use the spell with ease simply by channeling mana down the circuit, but it had its own shortcomings being the initial pain, and future loss of an available circuit.

'Crap, what if I did not have the guide and failed the process? Would I have irretrievably destroyed one of my circuits?' a cold sweat slid down his back at the thought.

'just as well I had guidance' Ryou thought 'that could have gone sideways fast'

Nevertheless the process was surprisingly easy for him, more so than the instructions suggested, he suspected he might have a talent with the mental magics.

After some further research in his mind library he selected 4 that looked promising and began to burn them in.

"arrrrggggg that stings like a hollow bore needle to the spine!", "damn, damn, damn you stupid fool!", guuuuuurrrrggghhh whhhhyyyy!", "ahhhh I hate myselffffff!" his cries echoed piteously throughout the cave, scaring most of the local wildlife away

A while later, dirtied, and slightly bloodied from his thrashings, he knew how to use the primary functions of each of the following:

Magecraft of thought acceleration: Ryou was already able to do a partition of triple processing simultaneously.

Magecraft of soul extension: he had tested this with a small snake that had been in the cave, and this resulted in shared perception and transfer of consciousness with the subject, but only if the subject was willing or could be mentally dominated by him, as was demonstrated by several initial failures.

Magecraft of memory manipulation: has not yet been tested as there were no available guinea pigs

Magecraft of mental command: was a limited success, the target would not obey any command it perceived as innately irrational or self damaging.

He had also tested other powers such as Inner Ki and magic reinforcement, but his body was already powerful enough that the beginning stages of Ki boosts were completely ineffective, the stone he tried to reinforce had exploded due to his lack of control and one of the shards almost took out an eye, 'definitely need some careful practice with that one' Ryou thought.

"I think it's time to go out, it's a new world, let's be a bit optimistic. From today my motto will be to sleep less experience more," said Ryou, his speech seemed to exude determination, but his expression that he would fall asleep at any moment detracted from this somewhat.

"But we'll start exploring tomorrow, the remainder of today will be for resting," he said.

A few moments later Ryou's snores echoed once more.
