please tell me any ideas for the story

I was thinking about making the son have a trauma like whenever he sees his mom he just gets super scared or some shit like this( tell me a trauma if you agree) I'm saying this so the mother feels more pain and regret.

another think I was thinking she meets the sons child in the park and it gets a little drama like the son runs to the son to take him away ot something itll go like this or something just want some ideas to make the mother feel more regret for the shit she did to them ( dont forget the dad like him getting married and finally being happy) btw it can have a little supernatural in it if you agree I dont care unless the ideas is bad
