16 Chp 16 : Elena
*huff* *huff* "What's happening?! They usually don't come out this early!"
Elena said whilst running at full speed, but keep in mind that she was a Xinthri. If she wasn't, her and Siun would have been killed and eaten already!"
"M-mommy, what's going to happen to us?!"
"H-haha! nothings going to happen dear! Mommy is here! I'll protect you!"
Elena kept running and running... but everywhere she looked was forest.
...
They were lost
...
"H-huh? what's happening?!"
As Elena began to panic she started to run even faster
[Siun : Haha! Yea! just run a little bit faster then we can be safe at home!]
[Tex : Hate to break it to you, but right now you are trapped within a demon's spell! You can't escape unless you kill it!]
[Siun : What the heck is with this situation! We are just side characters! Why is this happening to us!]
As soon as Siun finished his sentence there was a thud

Elena has tripped and injured and her ankle
...

...
"Ouch!"
Elena tried to hoist herself back onto her feet but fell back down again, only them did she realized that she had dropped Siun.
"Oh no! Siun! Are you hurt?!"
She quickly crawled to Siun making sure his body didn't take any damage from the fall.
"Yes I'm alright moth-!"
Before Siun could finish his sentence, a hand reached out of the tall tree trunks and covered his mouth with its rough hand. Elena jumped back and shrieked in horror as a tree demon slowly uncamouflaged itself. It was atleast twice as tall as her.
"Give me my son back! You vile demon!"
[Siun : Ah, that's not gonna do anything! Do you think this guy can talk?! Fight back!]
[Tex : I have noticed you insult others around you as a way to cope, to be honest, its not a good habit]
[Siun : Stop lecturing me! I'm panicking, cut me some slack! Tex, can't you do anything?! You're host is literally about to die!]
[Tex : Sorry but interfering is against the rules]
*Tex disappears into the void*
"Mmmf! Hmmpf mm!"
Siun tried to yell out but it only made the demon tighten it's grip on Siun jaw.
This enraged Elena as she tried to stand up again and charged at full speed, but sadly this failed and she flopped back down onto the floor.
"Arghh!"
The tree demon slowly lifted Siun up closer to its mouth. Siun could feel it's cold breath when he got closer and closer. He started to suffocate.
As a last resort Elena lifted her hand from the floor and flicked her wrist. A sharp blade of wind formed and it cut through the large oak tree. The large oak tree slowly fell over and crushed the tree demon.
Elena was surprised, she never knew she wielded this much power! She was quite happy with this discovery, this means that she could now go get a high paying job in the military to earn more money! But her happiness was soon taken away as she saw Siun rolling on the ground.
"Siun! Are you okay?! Did the oak tree hurt you?!"
Her face turned pale as she touched Siun's head and felt a hot liquid flowing out.
"M-mom?"
She stopped herself from crying as to try not to further alarm the little boy. She looked around and saw that the dark forest started disappearing, and she could once again see their shabby hut
This was the first time Siun was actually relieved to see their house, usually every time he saw it he would complain and whine about it in his mind to Tex. But now he was more relieved than ever.
...
"Siun listen to me carefully okay? Run as fast as you can to our house and lock all the doors and windows. Then you must not turn on any lights, dont let them know you're in there!"
"B-but mom what about you?! And I'm not as fast as you either!"
*huff* "I-It's fine dont worry about me! Didn't you *huff* see what I did to that massive tree? J-just run as fast as you can, you are a Xinthri just like me! It's in your blood, just focus on running as fast as you can!"
"B-but-"
They heard another rustle, and 3 more tree demons emerged from the shadows.
"Just go now before it's too late! Run!"
This time Siun didn't ask anymore questions and just ran as fast as he can.
[Siun : I know that I am part Xinthri but I'm just three! I cant run that fast yet!]
*Tex reappears*
[Siun : Ahh thank god your back Tex! Help me!]
[Tex : Calm down! panicking won't make you run faster it will only slow down your breathing! Just breathe slowly and focus on your legs!]
Siun followed Tex's instructions and calmed down, he then felt a burning sensation in his legs. It was as if a thousand fire ants were biting his legs.
He ignored this pain and as Tex said, Siun was now running as fast as Elena.
