His Choice

Alt was silently listening to Gods long explanation, and he had long given up on trying to remember the ranking system due to the fact that when he opened his status page, and clicked on the [Help] tab, it basically said the exact same thing god had just said, they were literally just reading off of the help tab, but since the rules for choosing your powers wasn't included in the help tab, he decided to listen closely to it, what had stuck in his mind, was the sentence "you may try to bargain or hide certain details since the person who will give you, your power is not a system, but a god with a personality, be creative, since it's not fun without at least a few exceptionally powerful abilities." As he tried to think of a power he wanted, he was going over the restrictions god had stated in his head, and after a while started talking "How about a power like this, to be able to control and create chains and what they embody, for example being able to restrain and restrict things, I'm not saying it can seal and control other people,but instead make it much harder for them to use and control their powers, and being able to only control others if they accept, for example they will be shown a list of things they must follow and will be forced to do, before they click the accept button, so they understand what they are getting into, so it's something like a servant contract, where I write up and create the contract then the subject either clicks accept or reject, and also something that lets me cancel or reject restrictions, limitations, and seals on my self or others, since my powers arn't that over powered, I'll just be something like a buffer and a debuffer, with the added bonus of being able to make and control chains. How about that? Nice and simple, not over powered and easy to understand?" as Alt finished talking God just stood there thinking for a while, then god said "Yeah I guess that's ok, it's useful while being versatile yet not overpowered, I'll make it so it gets the bonus increase in power since I doubt it will be that powerful by it self." Alt responded by saying "Thank you" with a smile on his face, "So will I obtain my powers and be sent to this new world now?" God responded, "Yes, but do you have anymore questions before I send you there?" Alt thought to himself a while before asking "You said I was the 2nd one to pass the insanity tutorial but what was the first person to pass like?" Alt was very curious about the person who had went through the same thing he had just gone through. God responded " He died... more accurately he killed himself." Alt froze when he heard that, his predecessor had killed himself even after clearing the tutorial, it made the mood in the room suddenly turn cold, and he started to feel very uncomfortable due to the sudden mood shift of god, god looked like they were in saddened, but at the same time angry. Alt was not a very social person when he was alive, so he didn't know what to do in this situation, thus he chose to run away, he said very quickly "uh yeah, so um, I'm ready to go now, I-I have no more questions, thank you so much by the way, ... yea" as he made a awkward smile. God seemed to snap out of it and started to wave their hand causing a low humming sound from his surroundings and the space around him to warp, he was starting to panic, but god told him to not worry "I'm just teleporting you stop moving around so much, god you're so jittery." Alt promptly stopped moving and stood perfectly still, he was scared that moving too drastically might cause a accident during the teleporting process. His surroundings gradually turned brighter causing him to close his eyes, when he stopped hearing the low humming sound a few seconds later, he opened his eyes... and at the same time god, still in the white void while glaring at the spot where Alt had been till a few seconds ago, sighed while walking back to their previous position with tears in their eyes.
