Finding a sword (1)

After bidding my goodbye to Christopher I made my way towards the stalls of the black market.

Seeing so many people running back and forth between each stall made my heart accelerate as I saw the vast array of things that sparkled brightly under the street lights.

Each one appeared to be more appealing than the other. When one has a sufficient amount of money, it is difficult to restrain one's desires. The five million U I have is a substantial sum of money. I can purchase a variety of items here.

However, spending a lot of money will become a problem, so I'll have to be more pragmatic about what I want to buy here. Once the plan is put into action, this will alter.

Until then, I need to make the most of my money. And I have a huge debt that needs to be paid.

It has been a month since I came here but I didn't know to who I needed to pay that money. The previous owner of this body didn't leave any things regarding that. I just know the debt amount that's it.

In this one month, no one even contacted me regarding this. So this is something very fishy going on.

This also pushes me to get stronger as I don't know who the future enemies I'm gonna face are.

With that in mind, I walked around the black market's stalls, making mental notes of what I needed to acquire right now.

This way, once I'd gone through most of the stalls, I'd be able to decide what I needed to buy and what I didn't.

One thing I need is for sure is a sword. The current sword, I'm using is not quite compatible with that of [ The Dark shadow sword art]. Definitely, I need a sword that would go with the sword art I'm practicing.

I finally arrived at a weapon store after visiting several stalls and made mental notes of what I needed to buy. It was larger than the rest of the black market weapon stores.

I entered the store. I took a quiet peek at their weapons department.

The stall had a variety of swords on display, allowing me to get a good look at them.

Each weapon's stealth or body had a separate mark etched on it, which was crafted by different blacksmiths.

If a well-known blacksmith forged a sword, it would command a premium price, even if it was not very good. That is the brand's worth. The cost was prohibitively expensive for most people.

In the black market, we can even find the sword that was a loot from the dungeons. They were smuggled into the black market. If I get something like that then it would be wonderful.

So I decided to put my luck to the test. Perhaps I might find a sword that was both suitable for my sword technique and reasonably priced.

"Excuse me?" I called the shop owner and showed him a slim sword that would be ideal for my sword technique.

It would be ideal since it is slim and firm, and it can move at incredible speed without breaking. As a result, I made the decision to proceed with it.

"Sure." That sword was picked up by the owner.

It was handed to me by him.

Wow, that appears to be fantastic.

I ran my fingertips along the blade's edges and saw that it was a well-made sword. It was also quite crisp.

'This was a fine sword,'

"Can you tell me how much it costs?" I inquired of the shopkeeper.

"Sir, it will be 500,000 U. It is also available at a discounted price." The shopkeeper responded.

My ears were about to bleed listening to that amount.

'Whoa, whoa, 'Holy shit.'

It was just a simple robbery in broad daylight.

Haha, half a million U. That's a substantial sum of money.

Even though this is less than the sword provided at the institution, it is still a significant sum of money.

However, when compared to my current sword, it will not even come close to that level. Purchasing this at that price will be a complete waste of money.

"Perhaps you've raised the price of this sword. That sword is definitely too expensive for that price." I expressed my displeasure. Who wouldn't if someone offered a ridiculously higher price?

He pulled the sword from my grip right away.

"As I previously stated, this sword was forged by a well-known blacksmith, and I was selling it at a reduced price. If you can't afford it, then leave. I don't need someone to tell me how much I should sell my weapon for." he said as he peered down on me.

"All right, then I'll have to go to another store." I hastily exited the room.

It's pointless to argue with a bastard like him. Despite the sword's quality, it was way overpriced.

If it was around 50,000 U then it would be a decent buy. But to pay 10 times more than its value than just hold my beer I don't want it.

I was looking for a weapon store and discovered that the one I just left is the largest in the area.

Now I understand where his arrogance came from.

Sigh.

I was heading down the path in search of another store where I could purchase a fine sword for a reasonable price. I was hoping to find a jackpot just like I found Christopher.

But that would be too much to expect.

Then someone called me.

"Hello there, what are you here for?" A voice piped up while I was walking.

At the side stood a lovely lady with black hair, smooth skin, and a narrow jawline.

"Come here if you want to buy something. Are you looking for anything in particular, and if so, I will undoubtedly be of assistance."

I locked my gaze on her.

What a stunning lady.

Despite the fact that everyone here wears a mask to conceal their identity, I recognize who she was.

'Dark Elf'

My pulse was quickening. This is the first time I've seen a race other than humans.

'Haha, it's going to be interesting.'
