6 Chapter 6 : Climbing

Three days later, Raigo drank a flask of water, sitting under a tree.

His hair was a mess, he had dark circles under his eyes and a sleepy look in his eyes

"I'm sleepy, I want a good bed in a three star hotel room with an all-you-can-eat buffet..."

He hadn't slept for three days, the nights in this forest were simply horrible, between the roaring of the wild animals and the frequent attacks of the beasts, Raigo felt his will begin to weaken, he couldn't even close his eyes without a wild beast trying to eat him.

"If I continue like this, my training will be delayed; on top of that, there is the mission of the association, if I succeed, I will earn some money."

On his way to collect Pero's bonus, Raigo had casually consulted the list of the association's missions.

And one of these missions consisted in bringing back a rare plant that was in this forest, when he decided to start his training, he chose this place because it allowed him not only to train but also to earn money.

The missions of the association were not missions that only one person could choose and reserve for himself, the Hunter association has a simple policy, the most competent hunter wins the prey.

Missions could therefore be taken by several hunters at the same time, but only the one who accomplishes the mission wins the reward.

He got up slowly from the ground and put the water flask back in his backpack before looking at the mountain in the distance.

He took a botany book out of his backpack and turned the pages before stopping at a page showing a blue flower with red spots on the stem and petals.

"Aconitum napellus blue, or aconite snakesbane kills, the Blue Aconite is considered the 48th most dangerous flower in the world, it contains aconitine, a powerful neurotoxic.

It can be found especially in mountain areas up to 3400 m above sea level, the best known areas are the Jurda marshlands, the valley of silence and the forest of mist.

It secretes a very toxic poison, the fact of touching, smelling or ingesting the plant, especially the petals, leads to heart failure and death within a minute....."

He read the book for a few more seconds before putting it back in the backpack and continued on his way with a tired expression.

.Time passed slowly, he had already climbed the rock face for seven hours, he was exhausted, his fingers were covered with blisters and bruises, and were even starting to bleed.

Suddenly, the stone he was clutching on broke, he lost his grip and fell into the void.

He fell for a short time before being stopped by the rope around his arm which was connected to a knife stuck in the rock.

Two hours later, he arrived in front of a rock face, he looked up but saw nothing because of the fog.

Even using the Sharingan, he could not see anything.

"I have no choice, I have to climb this mountain, unfortunately I didn't bring the necessary equipment."

Raigo took a rope and his military knife from his backpack.

He passed the rope through the pommel of the knife that was originally used to tie the knife to his belt, and then tied several knots around the handle.

He wrapped the rope around his right arm and then approached the rock face and started climbing with his bare hands.

He moved slowly, clinging from one hold to the other.

"The wind is stronger at higher altitudes."

The higher he went, the stronger the wind, forcing him to hold on to the holds for several seconds without moving.

"Haha...Haha..."

The adrenaline was pumping into him, even making him forget the pain in his hands. He grabbed the wall again, then pulled the knife from the wall and walked forward, but suddenly he stopped with a pensive look.

"How about I try this..."

He slowly closed his eyes and concentrated, his aura slowly emanated from his body towards the knife.

The aura covered the knife in a few seconds, he opened his eyes and stuck the knife into the rock.

*Twak*

The knife went through the stone as if it were butter, which made Raigo smile.

"Even though it's difficult to maintain my aura like this, I'm still going to try."

He continued to climb but this time he stuck his knife in the rock to move forward.

He continued for two hours resting for five minutes every fifteen minutes, finally after another hour of climbing he reached the top of the rock face.

"Finally! I'm completely exhausted, I can't take it anymore!"

He threw himself on the floor, his body covered in sweat and his hands covered in blood.

The top of the rock face was a fairly flat area covered with a few grasses and several boulders.

Raigo looked down and saw only fog, sighed with fatigue and threw his bag on the ground before taking out a tent that he started to set up.

"I will finally be able to sleep!"
