11 Our Rival and Revelations

The next day, we received a message from the school director that a well-known mangaka is coming to school as a transferee. We weren't ready to face our rival but we have no choice.

"So what are we going to do now?" Yasu scratches his head as he asks an impossible question to answer.

"How would I know, it was so sudden," I answered him and look outside the window.

"And we are tasked to welcome her, too. What is the school director thinking." Yasu is clearly annoyed by our task.

"We are the mangaka club, what else could you expect?" I replied and took a deep breath.

"So how's Fumi discussing this with the school director?" Yasu sat down in his chair.

"Well, I don't know. She said nothing to me, Kozue, and the twins are quiet too." I looked at him with a straight face.

"AAAAH, I'll sleep and forget this is happening!" Yasu is clearly annoyed so put down his head on his table and sleep.

A few moments later,

"Everyone, we have a new student transferring today."

Of all things, she turns out to be in our class as well.

"Hello, everyone I'm Hanako Enomoto, I work as a mangaka, my pen name is Makaino Joji. Hope to get along with you all."

What is with that introduction?

"Ha-Hanako?!" Yasu startled the other students with his reaction.

"Oh, Lucky! I'm with the same class as you Onii-sama." Hanako smiled brightly as she saw Yasu.

"Wa-wait? Onii-sama? What do you mean?!" I am utterly confused about what is happening.

"Ha-Hanako is m-my cousin." Yasu sat down and put his palm on his face in embarrassment.

"WHAAAAAAAT?!" Fumi and I were totally shocked by the revelation.

Then at the clubroom,

"Hey, Hanako! Why do you keep this all a secret from me?" Yasu is clearly disappointed and embarrassed.

"Cause you're mother said to keep it a secret, until we finally meet," Hanako replied hiding behind her manga and giggled.

"I'll go straight to the point, your cousin and I considered you our rival in the mangaka world. Because you were a stranger to us." I implored while looking down patting Yasu's back.

"It's okay, many considered me as their rival, but can we be comrades now since we are now in the same club." Hanako looks around our club room.

"Before that, who gave you the idea to transfer here and join our club, same goes for Nagi and Nami?" I ask to enlighten the confusion.

"It's all because of Yasunii-sama's mother, she said he's creating manga." Hanako looked at me straight in the eyes.

"Sheesh, I can't believe your mother doing this to us." I sat down and looked up.

"I have a lot of questions too, you know! Don't bring the blame to me." Yasu shrinks in the corner of depression.

"But what really brought me here is the story of the school, I was saddened by what they did so that's why I came here to help restore its name and the founders of the mangaka club."

At that moment I trusted her words for having the same goal as mine.

"Do you know why we restarted the mangaka club?" I asked Hanako directly and give her a serious look.

"Because we have the same goal, aren't we?" Hanako replied without thinking twice.

"Yeah, because we want to restore the school's name and my father's legacy," I replied and stood up looking outside the window.

"Seriously, everything that is happening now is strange like we are in a manga plot that we are all destined to meet one day," I added.

So we started to review our manga and discussed the changes we need to make.

"Knock, knock!"

A familiar voice outside our clubroom.

"Wait, don't open it. This voice, it is familiar." I implored

Everyone looks at me confused.

"Yasu grab the plastic baseball bat." I looked at Yasu in a serious look signaling danger.

"Seriously, it is her?" Yasu picked up quickly.

"Anyone here?"

The door slides open.

*Bang*

"OW! OW! OW!"

The girl who entered the clubroom is no other than my little sister!

"You're so mean, big bro!"

My little sister throws in a counter-attack.

"You missed me!" I mocked my little sister's crying face.

My little sister took a deep breath and her face is red then suddenly she shouts,

"SISCON! LOLICON! PERVERT! PEEKING AT MY WINDOW AND BATH TIME!"

Everyone backed away in the corner looking at me disgusted and I was just completely shut downed in surprise.

"K-Kanna, I'm sorry, very sorry!" I submitted myself to my little sister's mercy.

"Hmph, you deserve it, your friends deserve to know your true nature." Kanna then patted my head and hugged me,

"But even so, I really love my brother!"

She is a devil in an angel's clothing.

"Hey, Yasu, are they really okay?" Nagi asks Yasu a pun question.

"I don't really know," Yasu whispers to Nagi and they continue asking each other.

"Ahem, let me explain the situations...It was all by accident and coincidence." I explain and tried to regain my dignity.

Everybody sighed and still don't trust me with my explanation.

"Anyway, why are you here Kanna?" Yasu ask my little sister about what is her reason,

"I'm a new club member of the mangaka club!" Kanna proudly smiled.

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" We all reacted synchronically to what we heard.

"Wait, are you serious but you aren't a student of this school, and you're like in middle school," Kozue asks,

"I'm in the middle school branch of the Inarizaki, so I am allowed to be here as well," Kanna replied diligently

"Indeed, she's right, she can join us as a provisionary member since she's still a student of Inarizaki," Fumi explained.

"Oh, I didn't know there's a rule about that in our school." I implored.

"Well, Kanna-chan! I'm Hanako, you can call me onee-chan anytime." Hanako seems to be dangerous around younger people.

"Don't give her any wrong ideas!" I grabbed Kanna away from Hanako.

"I almost forgot, Papa, said to let everyone come to the studio tomorrow for a special visitor, an old friend he said." Kanna implored.

We all looked at each other confused about what's going to happen tomorrow.

"A new member?" Yasu inquired,

"No, she said a special visitor and an old friend of my dad's" I replied confused.

"School director? But we already knew him." Yasu looks desperate for answers.

"No, uncle didn't mention anything about that," Fumi assured it wasn't the school director.

So we all left the school without any clue about what my father's plans for tomorrow.
