164 The truth behind the Seal

The cleanup work finished after two weeks of what could only be described as grueling labor. The sorting of the bodies, the burial of the commoners, the burning of the knights under noble employ, the collection of the dead mages and their Vasas… 

On top of that, people needing to scrape off the obsidian off their houses, their clothes, the streets, everywhere.

However, the commoners worked enthusiastically. They were free, after all. Still working under a noble, probably doing work dirtier and more disgusting than they ever did. But because they trusted in a future brighter than before, they considered themselves free, their lives better.
