"What robbery?"

Instantly, the listeners turned even more serious again. 

"It was to the South of Ra Elasir. A group of mages ambushed a convoy while it was trying to cross over a river. I noticed that the Magi protecting the Convoy were weakened to the extreme. Their spells were prone to fizzle and some were even wobbling. I guess they were poisoned beforehand."

It was an ambush that Eliseline herself participated in. Everyone from the convoy was killed, so there wouldn't be any witnesses to speak against her.

"Why didn't you help them?"

"Why should I?" Eliseline shrugged. "It's not my duty to protect your people."

"…"

"Anyhow, the rogue mages killed everyone there and ran away. If I remember correctly, they were headed north-east. Perhaps that's where their base is. I could not be bothered to go check, so sorry."

Eliseline wasn't lying.
