Her husband nodded grimly.

"Yes. Afterwards, she was gone. The nobles were unsure if they should take her seriously or not, but when she started moving in earnest, they were forced to take things seriously."

Murkato frowned.

"You mentioned wanting to stop our plan before, because you didn't want to deal with Savine? Why?"

From what Murkato heard, her husband only suffered for a few minutes under Savine's spell. He wasn't stuck there forgotten by the world for days or weeks. A few minutes wasn't a long time. 

Most people's brains - mostly prideful people like nobles - tended to downplay such incidents, making all sorts of excuses to make the incident seem as small as possible. They were simply unable to comprehend things that threatened their egos.
