26 I Surrender

Maya had no idea why Vincent wanted to come to the trampoline arena with her. Maybe he was overworked after shutting himself up in the garage for more than a week.

She hadn't seen him at all except when she went to the DMV and grocery shopping because she had to pass him on her way out. He was so focused on what he was doing that he barely bothered to say hi without looking up.

Now that she knew what he was trying to accomplish and the fact that it was a bit time sensitive, she had been more understanding about the complete lack of contact. It wasn't like he was ignoring her on purpose.

Maya also suspected that a workaholic like him truly was funned out by their time in the pool together. The only reason she dared asking him to double bounce her was because she hadn't bothered him with anything else all week.

Going that high was amazing. For a brief moment, she wondered if that was what tall people felt like all the time.
