The Story: Undying Love

Looking out by the windowpane, hands clasp together as he hums quietly, calming his thumping heart, both excitement and nervousness were felt as he waits patiently for her in their favorite restaurant.

From time to time, he would check his wristwatch, checking his phone for any calls or messages but he got nothing. "She should be here by now," Namjoon said to himself, an hour had already passed, yet…she hasn't arrived yet.

Few more minutes passed, constantly looking outside yet the driveway is empty. Giving a few messages to their family, asking about her and all answer he got was "she already left with a cab," the last message from her mother.

Anxiously, fidgeting his phone within his grasp, "don't think like that Namjoon. She's safe," he whispered, calming himself.

Moments later, his phone rang. In a quick flip, without even looking over the ID, he picked up the call. "Hello?" he said shakily.

Remembering that one special day, him kneeling down in front of her as she stood in front of him, covering her mouth as she holds back her tears, them 2 in the middle of a garden with their family and friends around, witnessing the beautiful moment.

Holding her hand, "You are the most beautiful thing that happened to me. Loving you brought so much happiness to me and I thought that it was enough. But you, loving me back, beyond than what I expected, made me love you more than I could ever be," Namjoon said, smiling at her as he felt tears forming in his eyes.

A small box is what he opened as he continued.

"Will you allow me to love you forever and always?"

In a quick move, reaching the entrance, asking by the front desk. Pointing towards his right, Namjoon wasted no time as he run along the seemed endless hallway until he reaches her room. By the doors, he can clearly hear them inside of the room. Keeping a straight face, with hard feeling, he entered, taking the seat next to her.

Holding her cold hand, kissing the back of it as he gave her a bittersweet smile, tears now blurring his vision.

With an idea, Namjoon stood up from his seat, calling a chaplain, borrowing some rings from the couple next door. Her doctor, nurses and the owner of the rings stands around the room, laughing at him as tears covering their faces.

The chaplain said some verses and after, he held her hands, with a sweet smile, "Remember that in happiness or sadness, through the good, bad and ugly, I have and will always love you, forever and always," Namjoon finished his vows.

The beeps are now getting slow, she smiled weakly, "Thank you for everything but even if I'm not here anymore, please just remember, I have and will always love you, forever and always," Y/N said in a small voice.

Placing the rings, sealing it with a kiss.

"Forever and always," he whispered.
