Leaving

Six months passed and Sky had been preparing to depart lately, he had killed numerous level four monsters and their territories in these past six months and his body had already reached level four.

Artha looked at his back with sadness every time she thought of his soon to be departure.

Sky had tried to convince her to go with him for the past six months, but she resolutely refused him. She did not want to leave this place as it contained the space that led to the eightieth floor of the Violet Dungeon.

If they leave now and someone opens the door in that black room, the heaveners would come out and massacre the whole of the first floor of the dungeon.

Reinforcements to deal with the heaveners would take a long time to arrive, and by that time at least twenty of the lower floors would have been massacred.

Artha did not want to be a negligent person who would bring mass destruction to the lower levels. Even though the monsters lived in a dog eat dog world, they were still united against the heaveners.

Sky even tried to absorb the space under the bed into his left arm. But he failed to absorb it. The concept of space was very interesting and beautiful, and also very tough to understand.

There are numerous ways to form and own spaces and the method used by his left arm was the simplest, it was simple 'summoning of space' from another plane.

His left arm summoned space from 'another plane' and stored it in itself. There are no problems to this kind of space summoning as this space was completely isolated from it's previous plane.

But if 'Sky' enters the space in his arm, the space returns to it's original plane. Sky was lucky that his left hand connected to a plane that had no life forms in it.

Monsters from different planes had different powers that are not understood by the monsters of the dungeons.

In fact, the higher floors of the dungeons are all classified as 'different planes'. This was to say that, the fiftieth floor of the dungeon was one plane and the fifty first floor was another.

If Sky's arm had connected to a 'space' from one of the higher floors of the dungeon, Sky would have been attacked by the heaveners from the plane when he goes into his arm, as the space would return to it's original plane.

There are endless planes in this world and it was tough to understand all of them. Most of these planes were already destroyed and do not contain any life forms.

Dungeons floors are said to be the only planes that are not destroyed, and still contain life. This just showed that Dungeons were the only places that one can hide during the end of the world.

Sky's hand had took space from one of the many destroyed planes and stored the space in itself.

Now, the 'plane' connecting the bed with the 'eightieth floor' of Violet Dungeon is one such 'vertical plane'.

The concept of 'planes'(not space) was also very interesting as well as hard to understand. Many planes can exist side by side but no one would be be able to find them.

Basically there are 'two' types of planes. One is the 'horizontal plane', and the another is 'vertical plane'.

The higher floors of the dungeons are the 'horizontal planes'. In order to go from the 'fiftieth' floor(plane) of the dungeon to the fifty first floor (plane), one must first find a suitable 'vertical plane' that 'connects' them.

The concept of 'distance' was also very vague when it comes to planes. What might be hundred kilometres distance in one plane, might just be a one kilometre distance in other plane.

The best example of this phenomenon is the 'vertical plane' connecting the bed and the 'eightieth floor of the Violet Dungeon'.

If one needs to get to the 'eightieth floor of the Violet Dungeon' from Red Dungeon, they would have to first leave this dungeon, travel all the way to the Violet Dungeon and then climb all the way to the eightieth floor.

This distance is very huge and would take about 'hundred years' for a normal level one monster if it travelled without stopping.

But with the 'vertical plane' under the bed, a room's distance could take you to the eightieth floor of the Violet Dungeon.

The planes which can 'shorten' the distance are classified as 'higher planes' and planes that 'prolong' the distance are called the 'lower planes'.

Clearly the plane that connected the bed and the eightieth floor of the Violet Dungeon was a Higher Plane.

The four tailed fox had told Sky that the concept of planes, and concept of space are the main 'researches' of the Gods.

And that only when you become a God would you have the power to travel through planes and research them. This was also the reason that the higher levels were mainly composed of Gods. Normal monsters can't grasp the concept of Planes, and this are not able to climb up the Floors of the dungeons which are essentially different planes.

Sky knew, he was able to enter the planes and have a secret space only because of his left hand. He felt proud to have such a wonderful left hand.

Sky also knew the reason he was not able to absorb the vertical plane connecting the bed and the eightieth floor of the Violet Dungeon was due to the 'low level' of his hand currently.

If his left hand was at higher level, it could have absorbed the Vertical Plane and could even transport it along with him. This way, he could reach higher floors more easily.

But that was for a later time. He did not know what level his arm had to reach to absorb the vertical plane under the bed, so it might take a long time before he returned for it.

He gritted his teeth and made the decision to go to the second level. He did not want to leave Artha, but he did not know what he had to do to convince her.

He was forced to choose between Carnage and Artha for the first time in his life, after gritting his teeth so hard that they started to crack, he chose Carnage over Artha.

Carnage was still in a state of unconsciousness while Artha was in perfect state right now. This made him to choose Carnage.

He left the territory without saying goodbye to Artha. He was scared that he would stop if he saw her cry, so he left without saying goodbye.

He travelled across the territory and reached the the stairs that led him to the second floor.

He took out his sharp knife and charged at the level five monster. It would be a bloody battle, but with his left hand, he was sure to win.

...

At the same time as Sky had gone to fight the level five guardian. A group of Minotaurs, who looked even more fiercer and powerful than the Minotaurs of the first floor entered the Minotaur territory.

They had 'arrogant' looks on their faces as they moved towards the core of the Minotaur territory. In fact, they had the right to act in such a way. These new Minotaurs were all level three and even had 'two' level four Minotaurs with them.

But the first thing they did after reaching the core was kneel before a level two Minotaur, and stayed in that position and waited for his orders. Clearly this level two Minotaur was someone of high status.

This level two Minotaur was originally a level four monster, but due to Sky's sneak attack, he had fallen to level two over the period of time, and he was still dropping levels.

The new Minotaurs who had visited his territory were the reinforcements sent by his father, who was a level five Minotaur and ruled a territory in the 'fourth floor'.

"Come! We will go and sully the foxes today." The level two Minotaur roared and left towards the fox territory with the reinforcements from his father.

[ just you wait damn human! I promise to ravage all the foxes in front of you. Especially that bitch Artha. Let's see if you can keep your mind after I take your lover in front of your eyes.]

The level two Minotaur laughed evilly.

Author's thoughts.

If you don't understand the part about the planes and the space. Don't think too much about it.

Our current arc does not need it, and I will be explaining it in detail as the story progresses.

First normal chapter today.

Took me the whole afternoon to write this chapter.

Will be posting one more before today.
