Chapter 21: Soccer Accident

It was the first day back to school for Angie and her friends.Everything was going perfectly fine.Angie woke up fairly early and got herself ready for school.Once Angie was all set she heads out to meet Kia at there usual spot.Angie and Kia eventually meets and walks to school together.Once they got to the school they met up with the rest of there friends.Angie and her friends talks about how winter break went by so quick.After a good 15 minutes of talking the bell finally rang signaling the start of school.

Angie says bye to her friends and heads over to the new classroom her first period will be at.Once she got inside she can see Mrs. Bell in her desk waiting for everyone to arrive.As soon as the late bell rang she stood up and went to close the door.On her way back to the front of the class she begins by handing the new class syllabus. Once she was sure everyone got it, Mrs. Bell began to explain the new course we will be learning for the rest of the year.For the rest of the period Mrs. Bell just explained the rules in the new class and what she expects us to have everyday for class.Before the bell rang she also explained that on certain days they will still use the old classroom.After hearing the bell and all the information Mrs. Bell needed to inform the class Angie then gets out of the class and heads for Mr. Ramirez class.

As Angie walked to her next class she begins to think about her conversation with Julia for the past two days.She had finally convinced herself that it is not possible to happen for the two of them to be assigned together.Though Angie still felt a little uneasy with being back to school though she is not sure why.Once she got to her next class she sees Yari and begins to have small talk with her.After about 5 minutes of talking Mr. Ramirez then comes to the front of the class and does that same thing Mrs. Bell did explain how the rest of the year will work out and that as 8th graders,they need to make sure that they are passing so that they do not need to be in for summer school.Class lessons continued as usual until the bell rang for the next class but fortunately for Angie her next class is still Mr. Ramirez, which she already knows he will explain the same thing for the first 10 minutes and then start to teach class for the rest of the 45 minutes of class.

45 minutes later...

Once the bell rang to end 3rd period Angie then packs up and sees Yari signaling her that she will meet her by the door.Angie then walks up toward the door to meet with Yari and head to the locker room for there next class.As Angie and Yari talk about there winter break as they walked to the locker rooms, Angie sees that the field was set up with goals.Angie and Yari knew right away that it is a sports kind of day today for PE.After about 10 minutes both girls go to there class and begin doing warm ups with the rest of the class while there teacher took attendance.After a good 10 minute warm up,there teacher explains for today's class they will be playing soccer.Angie didn't mind that they will be playing soccer since that means time will go by faster indicating lunch is so close.

After there teacher explains the teams Angie heads over to her team mates which included Yari in it.Angie and Yari's team will be going against Julia team.As they played soccer the bell for the first bell rang indicating that those from Lunch A will be heading to there class and that there is only 20 more minutes left before it is time for Lunch B to start.Angie was doing pretty good playing with the girls,as one of the girls past the ball to Angie Alec and his friends were passing by.His friends sees Angie's moves and sees her make a goal.With that goal being made that means Angie and her team were winning.As they try to make another goal Angie was not paying attention as she was caught off guard with Alec passing by.As Angie was not paying attention the ball was heading toward her.Before Angie could get hit everyone was trying to call out to her to prevent it though she did not her them.She then turns around to face the current game she is on only be hit by the soccer ball on her forehead.Angie goes down and that was when the teachers blew the whistle signaling that the game was over and it was team to head back to the locker room.Julia and Yari head over to Angie to make sure she was fine.Angie informed them she was okay but she turns around quickly to make sure that Alec and his friends did not see any of it.Once she was sure that no one else but her classmates saw she headed by to the locker room with Julia and Yari.

Inside the locker rooms everyone changed back to there uniform and started heading outside.Angie felt a little pressure on her forehead but she did not bother to say anything to anyone as she did not want them to worry.Once she was all set Angie meets up with Julia at the front of the locker rooms and they head to the lunch area.With the pressure getting worse Angie began to feel a little dizzy which Julia saw so she asked Angie if she was okay.This whole time Angie hand her right hand over her forehead so when she was answering Julia question she puts her hand down only to see a worried Julia.

Julia:Your Forehead!!

Angie:what??

Julia: There is a big bump on it.
