Y/N wake up. We don't want to be late." I heard eomma's voice. I sat up with drowsy eyes. That's when it hit me that I had to to work in the royal palace. I rushed out of my bed and did my daily routine. "Eomma let me see off aunt Minseo and Namjoon oppa." She nodded.

I ran into their hut to only find Namjoon oppa sleeping and aunt doing the cooking. "Aunt Minseo!" I squealed. She was surprised to see me. "Am I dreaming that Y/N woke up early?" She pinched her skin only to gain the pain. "Y/N, h-how di-did - are you going somewhere?" She asked as she eyed my dress.

"Yes, I am going to work in the royal palace." I hugged her. She pulled off the hug, "Wow, you are going to work in the palace." She was amazed to hear it. She kissed my forehead. "You will be working with your parents here on." She smiled. "No aunt, I am going to work as a maid for the prince." I gloomed.

"But don't worry, I will pay visits every month." I pulled her cheeks to smile. She nodded. I kneeled to wake oppa. "Oppa, wake up." But he didn't budge at all. "Oppa." I shook him. "Aunt please just for few time." He drowsily replied. "Oppa, I am going to the palace, I won't see you again." I grunted and stood up.

Immediately I felt a hold on my ankle. "Are you leaving your oppa?" He spoke in his sleepy voice. I kneeled, "Yes oppa. I am going to work. I will pay visits to you. Meanwhile learn everything for you to become a minister. Just like any intelligent minister give a good entry in the palace. Make me proud of you." I pecked his forehead and drew my finger through his hair.

"I will." He pecked and went back to sleep, snoring. My mouth went wide. "Is he always like this?" I asked as I always woke up after Namjoon. Aunt could only chuckle. I stood up. "Y/N?" I looked at her. "Take good care of the prince." She pleaded. I nodded assuring her.

Appa took my bags and we headed to the palace. I just couldn't stop myself from smiling. As we reached the market, "Eomma, I want to go the library. I will return in an instant." I pleaded her. She nodded. I opened the door to only find Jisoo. "Ah unnie!" I bowed to her. "Ne." She smiled. "Unnie, where is Mingyu Oppa?" I asked in a hurry. "He didn't wake up till now. Do you want me to give a message to him?" I nodded. "I am going to the palace. I got a new job there. Please ask him to give my job to Hoseok oppa." I said.

"Araso, I will." She replied. "What about Namjoon oppa?" She asked. "Oh! He is staying here with aunt Minseo." She smiled. "I should pay them a visit today."

"Sure. Also tell Mingyu oppa that I am thankful for everything he has done for me." I waved her as I walked back to Eomma and Appa. He walked for so long my legs were tired by now. "Appa?"

"Hmm?" "Do both of you walk this far?" He nodded. "Must be hard right. My legs are aching eomma." I whined like a small girl.

"Just a little more distance and we will reach the city." She assured me.

As we reached the market my mind was blown. It was crowded than our town. So many shows were there. Venders screaming out loud to sell their products. I ran here and there to get a glance what the shopkeepers hold. There were many things here than what we had there. I was looking at the a small statue when someone called me, "Hello, there young lady." I turned to check the person. I was totally shocked and surprised. "P-Prince." I bowed to him.

He caught my shoulder which caught my breath. "Wow, at last you came to the city." He grinned. I nodded. People around us bowed to him and walked away. Eomma and appa came to me not knowing the person who it was, appa snapped at his hands, "Do not touch my daughter." Both eomma and I gasped at appa's action. As soon as the prince faced him, appa regreted it.

"I am sorry, your highness." He smiled at appa and placed a hand on appa's shoulder. "You are a protective father." He spoke. "I do not mind it. It was your protectiveness that made you do such action. I forgive you." He completed.

"Prince Taehyung." A man came and stood. "Where were you?" He asked. "Ah, I came to check whether this is Y/N or not." He looked at me. His look at me was so good. I wish he looks the same at me when I begin to work there.

"Oh." The other man made a face looking at me from head to toe, well that look was not something as a normal look but like he wanted to do something to me. Appa noticed it. "Your Highness we shall be going to the palace." He bow.

"Oh yes, sure." Prince said. The man next to the prince smirked at me, "What is she doing here?" He asked eomma and appa. I was cut off by appa, "My lord, she came here to seek blessings from the King and Queen." He abruptly spoke. The man opened his mouth, but then prince spoke, "Junmyeon, let them go."

"You can go." The prince gave us the permission and we felt the place. He waved at me one last time and I returned it smiling but Junmyeon kept on smirking at me.

We had to walk more. I was really amased at seeing the city. I couldn't believe that I was going to live here. I just wanted squeal and pull Namjoon oppa's cheeks if he was here. We reached the entrance and for the first time I saw a palace. Palace of the great King Park Sungjin.

"WoW. Eomma we should have brought aunt Minseo and Namjoon oppa too. This place is majestic." She chuckled. The guards stopped us from moving further. "We work here." He said and they let us pass. "Appa why did they stop us? Don't they know we work here?" I questioned him. "They are new here. That's why sweety."

I ohed. The palace looked so beautiful and magnificent. Guards were infront of many places. People in the palace were walking here. Looking at them made me realize what a luxurious life you lead here. I noticed a lot of flowers and a small pond. Before I could run off to see the pond eomma caught my hand. "Ani Y/N, you are not allowed to run in the courtyard of the palace." She sterned. I nodded and followed them.

At reaching at a room outside the palace, Appa placed my luggage down. He looked at me with care and affection, carresing my hair and kissed my forehead. "Take good care of yourself." He showed his concerned smile. "Always fulfill your duties and don't give them a chance to spat at you." I nodded. "Do pay us visits. Hmm?" I nodded again. "Don't worry your Namjoon oppa will accompany you soon. Pray to god that he gets a place as a minister." He caressed my hair. "I am going." He hugged me once more before leaving.

Eomma and I waited out for some time. The door of the room opened to be met by a young lady. We bowed to her. "Ma'am, this is my daughter and she is here to replace the previous take carer." She had her eyes closed and nodded to what eomma spoke. "Alright, let me introduce her to the Queen." She said walked off as we followed her. Some girl and took away my things to that room.

I was about to yell at for not to do that but then eomma assured that it is safe.

We walked inside the palace. The interior was splendid. The door were firm and polished unlike my hut's. Soldiers stood near every entrance. They let us pass not even stopping us for once unlike what did to appa and us. A lot of vases and paintings were placed in a room as we passed it. I wish to stop by there but no. Eomma might scold me.

Right now we were standing infront of a door. The lady said something to one of the guards. He glanced at us and walked inside the room. I nudged eomma but then she showed me her palm asking to wait. He came back, "Her Highness has asked you to go in." He replied strictly.

The lady nodded and gestured us to follow her. The room had a seat in the middle of the room with a woman sitting on top of it and 2 to her both side. On the sides of the room filled vases and small compartments. On top of those compartments many things were kept which I had never seen except for the cutlury.

The woman looked old, same age of eomma might be. We bow to her. She gave a good look at me, "So this is your daughter?" The queen asked. Eomma nodded,"yes your highness."

"Alright, what is your name?" She turned to me. I looked her with big eyes from getting nervous. "Y-Y/N." I bowed. "Does she stutter?" She asked. Of course no. Why would she ask such a question? I was talking with my mind.

"No, your highness." Eomma replied. "Hmm." She hummed. All this time she was sipping a tea, now she placed it down. "Has she down this before?" She asked. "Yes, your highness."

"Alright, she shall begin to work. But she can only meet her family once in a month. The will stay with Seohyun as an assistant. As for today and tomorrow she has to takecare of the prince because Seohyun is not here." She finished and took a sip of the tea. "You can go now." She granted a leave. I didn't understand why is she talking as though prince Taehyung is sick.

We bowed to her once again and came out of the room. "Y/N, do all the things like appa said. Don't ever disrespect the queen and seniors. The queen will be good with you as long as you are good in fulfilling your duties." She said everything with love and caressed my hair. I nodded and for the last time I felt the touch of her lips on my forehead. She smiled and send off me.

The lady asked me to follow her. "Listen I am telling you this for your sake and for the prince's sake." "Yes ma'am."

"The Prince has a stubborn and rude personality. He want things to be done in his ways, but don't do things in his ways because he gets sick. He will be stubborn to take medicines, still you have to force it to him. He should be given all care. Your attention should be on him everytime." "Yes ma'am."

About which prince is she talking? Prince Taehyung was never a rude person. He is stubborn at times but still not rude. Also today morning he looked perfectly fine.

"Also, the prince might turn against you because of the incident with his previous maid. So becareful. Be good to him in all means. Never try to deceive him." I nodded. Abruptly we came to a stop. She opened a door, I entered a room a bit similar to the queens but smaller than it. It had two beds. BEDS! Never in my life I slept on beds. Wow.

Royal life, Luxury life.

She faced me, "Here on this is your room. You are sharing with Seohyun." Before she could leave I called her, "Ma'am where is Seohyun?" She looked at me, "She has gone to meet her family. She will come after 2 days. Till then take care." She wished and walked out.
