"Uwaaaa!"

A boy who was held upside down cried out loud. Inside his little brain, there was a black space where a golden soul was cursing 'Damn! Why did this lady hit me? I am already alive, don't you know? And, these damn feelings!'

'I need to calm down. Buddha is compassionate! I must not curse.'

Slowly, the golden soul calmed down and the lady holding the baby passed it to the middle-aged man standing next to her.

"Hahaha! My son looks handsome."

"Haha! Wife, look at our son! I believe he will attract lots of women even with the bald head." The middle-aged man had a sandy facial tone. He was nearly six feet tall and had a muscular body. There was a big smile on his face.

'Damn! Did my old man say the same line in the past? Does this mean he knew I would become a monk? Nah! That's crazy. His cultivation is quite low so it shouldn't be possible. I might be thinking too much.' Inside the baby, Gu Tan's soul was speechless but soon his voice became more serious as he continued.

"Don't bullshit so much. My son will grow fine silver hair like me. Give him to me!" A beautiful woman lying on the bed spoke, making a tough look on her face. She had fine silver hair and amazing red eyes. Her body was covered with a thin sheet of cloth.

The middle-aged man helplessly sighed and put his son in his wife's hand. Although she was quite tired, she was still a cultivator. She was able to hold him. Holding her son in her hands, the middle-aged woman stared at her with tenderness and love.

'Mother! I am back.' At this moment, the golden soul's voice was choking.

'Mother, Father, this time I will protect you. I have got a new chance. I will do everything to keep you safe. Your Gu Tan will always keep you safe.' Gu Tan promised himself.

In his last life, his village was slaughtered for resources. In the Great Sun Kingdom, people cultivate Elemental Energy and Internal Energy. To cultivate elemental energy, one needs Elemental Veins. Unfortunately, only a few people are born with such veins.

Of course, one can awaken Elemental Veins but it requires massive resources which very few families in the entire Great Sun Kingdom can afford.

Suddenly, the door of the house was kicked open. At this moment, an old man walked inside with red eyes. When he appeared, Gu Tan's father and mother didn't even speak. This made Gu Tan's soul frown.

His eyes were barely open but he could still sense the person. He knew the person that had entered the room was his grandfather. But, his grandfather was a very cheerful person. At least, this is what he knows about his grandfather.

He didn't understand why the mood inside the room changed so much.

"Gu Chen, why didn't you call me?" His grandfather asked his father with his name. His tone was frighteningly terrifying. Even Gu Tan frowned upon hearing such voice of his grandfather.

"Father, I..." Gu Chen tried to speak but not a single word came to his mouth.

"You!! How dare you keep me away from my precious grandson?" Gu Tan's grandfather shouted at his son but he tried to keep his voice low.

Seeing that, Gu Chen and his wife sighed. This is exactly why he didn't inform his father about her delivery. He was afraid that his father will kill the housemaid that helped in the delivery. After all, slapping a baby's ass is done by everyone.

And, he was also afraid that his father will cry during his grandson's birth. That's why he didn't inform his father.

"My grandson, my dear grandson, come into your lovely grandpa's arms." Shouting like a baby, Gu Tan's grandfather snatched Gu Tan from his mother's embrace. If it was a normal child, he would've cried. But, Gu Tan didn't cry from such a basic thing.

Though he did feel funny when he saw his grandpa acting like a child. Only now, he feel like he was truly in his family. The only person that was missing now was his grandmother. Unfortunately, his grandmother died even before he was in his mother's womb.

"Father, what do you think we call our son?" Gu Chen asked for his father's opinion with curiosity.

"My name is Tian. Your name is Chen. My grandson's name shouldn't be complicated as well. His name will be Tan. He will be called Gu Tan. Our grandson will convince the world to follow his footstep with his words. He will become a great sage equal to heaven." Gu Tian spoke with profoundness and pride.

"Unfortunately, he is a human, not an ape." Gu Chen sighed after hearing his father's words.

Gu Tian turned his head at Gu Chen and glared, telling something to his son from his deadly gaze.

'I didn't mean literal Great Sage Equal to Heaven, you idiot.'

Gu Chen nodded his head in understanding and turn away his head.

"Father, can I hold him?" Gu Tan's mother made teary eyes and spoke. Her words made Gu Tian sad but he still passed Gu Tan to her.

Gu Tan's mother held him and spoke with love "Did you hear your grandfather? Your name will be Tan. Hehe! My Tan will convince every girl in our village with his sweet words."

Hearing her words, Gu Tan wanted to roll his eyes unfortunately he didn't have much control over his body. He found the knowledge in his soul was too much for his body to bear. That's why he couldn't control his body.

And, if he tries to forcefully control his body, he will hurt himself.

'Doesn't this mean there are things that I won't be able to control?' Gu Tan asked himself with one example in his mind. If he can't control himself, he will poop everywhere.

Gu Tan was simply ashamed of thinking about it.

"Daughter, why do you want Gu Tan to get more women? Don't tell me you have some kind of dream that you couldn't fulfill?" When Gu Tian asked that, he couldn't help but look at Gu Tan's mother with a suspicious gaze.
