"The price of your purchase is $ 200, Miss Barrow." The cashier's clerk spoke to Elizabeth with a smile on her face. She knew she was 'famous' for being a criminal expert in this small, peaceful town in western Italy, where the biggest crime ever investigated was the disappearance of a dog.

Elizabeth paid her purchase for the attendant and packed them up. Giving the blonde and short woman at the checkout a goodbye smile, she grabbed the bags and left the supermarket heading for the parking lot and getting into her sports car she bought before moving to Non Cicury city. She drove to her home on Winchester Avenue, No. 7.

Arriving in front of your home. Elizabeth got out of her Audi e-tron, took her keys and opened the main glass door, then opened the wooden door. She went back to her car pressing the button on the key to open the trunk of her car, grabbed the shopping bags, closed the trunk and locked her car going inside. She placed the bags on the kitchen counter, returning to the living room to close the doors. Elizabeth kept her purchases in their respective places and sat on the chairs in front of the counter and opened her laptop next to her. She opened the main page of the police station's website by going to the "new cases" tab where she was impressed, there was a new case, which was the same as a miracle for the citadel.

She rolled the mouse pointer to open the file that had the title "Case 17, Murder". The page opened and showed several photos of the body and information about the case.

Elizabeth really took an interest in the case, it was the first time she had taken a murder case since moving to Non Cicury. She was already ready to send a request to take charge of the bodily investigations to her superior when her phone rang.

She took out her phone and the display said "Mr. O'Carroll" was her department supervisor. Elizabeth answered.

"Elizabeth Barrow?" The voice spoke on the other end of the line.

"Yea." Elizabeth spoke without emotion.

"Miss Barrow. Your presence here at the Investigation Station is expected."

"Sure, just give me a few minutes to get ready and I'll be going" Elizabeth hung up the phone by placing her phone on the counter and going to her room.

Elizabeth got out of the car, got out and walked towards the entrance to the police station, waving to some of her department friends. She arrived at her supervisor's office and stopped when she saw him sitting talking to a tall man with short, curly black hair, he seemed to be tall and quite strong. When her presence was noticed by the two inhabitants of the room, her supervisor turned to her with a smile on her face.

"Beth, it's good that you've arrived, I want to introduce you to your new work partner. Levi Fontana."

Elizabeth was surprised. Who was that man and why was he there? "Hm, young lady?" He asked. Her long black hair shone. The woman just ignored him and took the case file off the counter and started to

analyze it. "Okay, Mr. O'Carroll, I'm going to the crime scene." When she turned around, the man said:

"Miss Barrow, Mr. Fontana will accompany you. As I told you, he is your new partner." Levi gives Elizabeth a defiant smile.

She sighs. Damn it. All she needed less now was a weight on her back. But at the moment, she had other things to worry about.

Who did that?

It was strange. It was so ... suddenly.

"Of course" she forces a smile "Come on, let's go"

Elizabeth opens the car, on the plug, the location was nearby. "Beckley Street, 9," she says aloud, getting into the driver's seat and

handing the file over to Levi to analyze. "So ..." he just ignored the record "How long have you lived here?" She didn't answer. Nor would she answer it obvious She just stares at him, starting the car. Fontana whistles,

"You don't have to answer, then. Well, let's go to that street soon."

"Because?"

"You will have to be more specific, dear."

"You came here. It's at the end of the world, no one comes here. Why did you choose this place?"

Levi looks ahead, thinking about his answer.

"I like to travel."

Really?

Beth was sure it was not so. "You know I'm a detective, don't you?"

"Actually" Levi looks at her with a smile "You are a criminal expert."

"Have you investigated my whole life?"

"Only what interested me." Eliza looks at him.

"I'm kidding" he raises his hands in surrender. "Aren't you kidding?"

Before Eliza responded, she parked the car at the crime scene. As she gets closer, she can see the stab marks. The blood was already

opaque, which indicated that the crime was done overnight.

dry and she got her suitcase from the car and when she got back to the body she saw Levi crouched beside the deceased, analyzing the scene. She put on her gloves and started looking for other things, signs of struggle, traces of the aggressor or digital, when he saw a scene

that made her blush with fury.

"Levi, what the fuck are you doing?" "Analyzing the body, from"

"No gloves?!"

He didn't look sorry or guilty, he just said:

"It is true."

Great now they had your assistant's fingerprints on the body too "I'm going to make some calls, see if you find any other leads and don't screw up."

Levi watched her go and started looking for other clues.

"OK, I'll wait for the ambulance."

After the calls, she made her way to the body.

"Did you find something?"

"Yes. Here" he pointed to the abdomen of the man who had bruises "A people can see signs of struggle, but from what I realized, the man was stronger and quick that poor guy, "he said listlessly.

" you could pretend you care, "Beth says, after studying the man's face.
