Denial

"Don't mention it," said Lai Yiteng, and his tone was icy.

Xian Wu almost wanted to shrink down into a mushroom. "B-But, we clearly…"

"Shut up."

Now Xian Wu frowned. "Come on, Yi'er, I was clearly the one taken advantage of, and now you don't even want to-"

"Shut up!" Lai Yiteng rushed out the door and slammed his shut. His attitude about the events last night was both childish and adamant refusal to acknowledge it ever happening.

Maybe that was for the best, though, because Xian Wu was unsure how to react.
