1 Chapter 1: How it all began

Raising children across the globe, with them being known as the heavenly warlocks, warriors who defend the world from devistation. These protectors were the birthright of one person. He goes by the name of Io Silas and was summoned to the world of Alsteria as the prophet, proclaimer of god's will.

Io was taking care of his pupils like he usually does, when he was under attack. The demon lord and his army were coming out of a large spatial rip, they waged war against Alsteria. Io who he sees his disciples as his own children told them to flee as they were not strong enough.

He alone faced the demon lord and his army that had come to invade the world. He did have the help of some of his friends and the citizens. It was an all out war, many people had died during the conflict. Io was the hope of all humanity, their saviour.

Neither side had won but both had sustained serious injured. The demons had fled back to their home. Io Silas bursted into particles of light leaving no trace of him behind except the remnants of the battle.

This was a fierce battle that would be recorded down in history and told to many future generation. Once Io was gone his disciples were left with no one to take care of them. They continued to work hard for humanity and to make their teacher proud. Many of them were taken in by him, some had lived on the streets or in orphanages. He extended his hand out to them when they were at their lowest. It was this gentle and kind hand that gave them new hope and reason to live.

A statue was made to commemorate his victory, and was displayed in the centre of the golden city. He has 100 disciples that are currently everywhere around the globe. Some are well known heroes while others are renound craftsmen. Using the knowledge and abilities they possess they have helped civilization advance into a utopia.

These filial disciples of Io have never forgotten his kindness and are still searching everywhere for him. The heavenly warlocks are now known and worshipped by many for all their achievements.

Io a living legend has been in hiding. Living a peaceful life with his contract beast that is also his companion. Io has decided to adventure around the glove to visit his disciples while going sightseeing.

Io Silas POV

I walked out of my wooden house into the tannin-brown forest. The grass was crispy under my feet. I looked up and the trees were skyscraper tall. Sunlight cracked through the tees tops. Hares were scampering away from me up ahead. The morning stars were shining like silver snowflakes. Wood sorrel flecked the blanket of grass. I walked in and out of shady glades as I did my morning stroll.

The peace of the morning was soul soothing. The forest's smell was fresh and organic. I picked some wild pears and they were meadow sweet.

I admire the beauty of the forest. The ancient trees stretched away from the crinkly floor. The twigs were crunching under my feet. Idling past suede-soft flowers, I caressed them softly, getting tingles in my fingers. My ears perked up at the metallic, tinkling sound of a stream. The sunlight reflected on the stream gave it a slight shimmer.

I take in the fresh air, a bird lands on my shoulder and rubs its head on my cheek. I chuckle softly and pet it gently. The solitary songbird was soon joined by his beaked companions, creating a symphony of song. I enjoyed the soothing melody and returned home to have breakfast.

As soon as I got back I was tackled down by my trusty companion. It was my contract beast, his name was Leo. But the weird thing is that he can transform into a demi human. Leo is a cat, but not an ordinary one. His race can't usually transform into a human form, so it's quite the phenomenon.

Currently he is in his cat form which I find quite cute. I put the soft silky fur gently making sure I don't injure him.

I found Leo when I came to this forest to heal. When I was going on my morning stroll I saw something peculiar sticking out of a bush. I was curious to see what it was and saw an injured cat. I have a soft spot for small beast so I couldn't help but bring it back home with me.

After saving the poor cat he wanted to stay with me as gratitude of saving him. Leo had a religion that stated if they were ever saved frim a life and death situation their life would now belong to their saviour. I did refuse at first but soon gave in. We made a pact and to this day we have been living in peace at this forest together.

But it is about time I leave, my disciples must be extremely worried knowing them. I will miss this place where I have lived in for many years, I can't stay here forever though. It would be nice travelling the world and trying local food that is only native to one place.

Leo purs in satisfaction as I stroke his back. He is happily sitting on my lap. I slowly lift him off my lap and place him gently on the floor.

I begin making breakfast for us using the freshly grown plants in the forest. I sit outside on my porch enjoying my salad, Leo is eating a whole roasted chicken.

I guess today will be the day I set out, I can easily locate my disciples on a map. When i accepted them as my pupils a crest is placed on their body. I take out a map that has several red dot, indicating the place where they currently are. The thing is I can't tell who is who so I'll just visit the person who is closet to where I am.

After finish breakfast I quickly was the dishes and get changed. I look at the mirror where a large scar still remains even after my injury was healed reminding me of the large fiasco I had with the demon king. I did try to heal the scar but for some reason it didn't disappear.

I still remember the exact words he said to me, "I will take my revenge, just you wait Io. You shall be mine."

I pack everything up using the help of magic and put it into my spatial pocket. I grab my staff and head out, looking one last time at my house.

Leo jumps on my shoulder and meows cutely. I couldn't but smile warmly at the clingy and affectionate cat. I use my space magic to teleport me out of the woods and into an open grass field.

The grass sways along with the wind, various flowers were scattered everywhere. A deer was galloping across the the field. Nature sure is beautiful.

I look at my map and see that there is a nearby time, I start walking to where it is designated. I could teleport but I came out here to admire the beauty of what the world has to offer.

This is where my new adventure begins.
