Ryusuke was sitting with his legs crossed in a futon in a room that Yae Sakura gave him to rest.
*mental sigh*
'It seems that I am really within the space of stigma created inside the black cube that keeps Yae Sakura and 12 ° Herrscher sealed...'

Yae Sakura is one of the playable characters in Honkai Impact 3rd. And she is one of the girls who has one of the saddest pasts among them.
Yae Sakura was born and raised in Yae Village 500 years ago, she inherited the position of miko (priestess) and she worked hard to help the village. At first it seemed like a happy story, but then for a whole year it didn't rain and a very severe drought continued in the region. Food was running low and water was becoming increasingly scarce.
Then one day the head of the Village proposed the sacrifice of Yae Rin for gods, and all the residents agreed to this.
Yae Sakura listened to it in secret and made the smartest decision she could make at that moment... She tried to escape with her little sister in secret far from the village. But unfortunately the head of the village was one step ahead of Yae Sakura.
Her father discovered what Yae Sakura planned and told the villagers to paralyze Rin before the royal ritual. When Sakura was called to deliver the final blow, she cut Rin's bonds and tried to run, only to realize that Rin couldn't use her legs anymore. Her father then grabbed Yae Sakura's hand and directed the blade through Rin. While Rin's last wishes for "being a good miko" will haunt Sakura for years.
In the end Yae Sakura was forced to wield the sacrifice blade.

A few seconds after Yae Rin died the rain started to fall. Villagers celebrated the return of rain and the end of drought.
While everyone else was celebrating the return of the rain, Yae Sakura was there with her knees and tears in her eyes as she watched her dead sister there in front of her.

At that time the seeds of hatred were planted in the girl's heart.
Because of her little sister's desire, Sakura continued his duty as a miko from the village, but he hardened with an empty expression over the years.
A few years later, Yae Sakura met a young foreign woman with white hair and blue eyes who was injured and unconscious by the river. This woman was dressed like a Western nun and was holding a black cube in her hands.

This woman's name is Kallen Kaslana, and she is the saint of Schicksal and also the strongest Valkyrie rank - S of that time.
Kallen Kaslana was injured like that because she deserted Schicksal and stole the black cube from there so that she wouldn't create terrible disasters because of Schicksal's high-ranking greed. Kallen ended up discovering what happened after the Massacre and realized that Yae Sakura was being possessed by Herrscher.

But unfortunately Yae Sakura's story does not end there.
Herrscher did not give up trying to own Yae Sakura but Yae Sakura had shown a strong willpower against Herrscher. Because of this, Herrscher created this space of stigma based on the memories of Yae Sakura to repeat the same events that occurred with Yae Rin to show how ugly this cruel is world is to break Yae Sakura's willpower.
In these last five hundred years, this space of stigma has repeated the life of Yae Sakura countless times, from the death of her little sister until her encounter with Kallen Kaslana. Yae Sakura has stood firm without submitting to Herrscher in recent centuries.

'But unfortunately by doing this, Herrscher who is imprisoned in this place will also be able to escape if she breaks free. And probably the first thing she will do is to plunge the world into a zombie Apocalypse... or maybe hack the world's military bases to launch all nuclear bombs in the cities of the world?'
The Herrscher who is trapped in this black cube is the twelfth Herrscher of the Previous Era, she is the only Herrscher of the previous era who survived until the present era.

She is the Herrscher of Corruption.
Its powers are ... in fact its true form is a self-conscious lethal virus.

Dr. MEI asked them to identify the reasons behind the girl's Herrscher level powers, but those reasons remain unsolved.

Especially when the nature of these powers remained a mystery.

Dr. MEI gave strict orders not to hurt the girl in any way, but the fear ended up speaking loudly to humanity.
The soldiers disobeyed orders and murdered the girl.
"She's just a girl..."
"The other Herrschers destroyed 70% of human civilization..."
"This is crazy! She did nothing wrong..."
"Sacrifices must be made for the good of humanity..."
"We have no choice..."
"Rejoice humanity, we kill another Herrscher..."
The murder implanted the seed of hatred in the girl's heart, the seed spread and ended up awakening the power of the twelfth Herrscher.

The girl's body disintegrated in a black mist mixed with Honkai energy.
The fog first infected the girl's killers who celebrated in front of her cell, turning them into killer zombies that attack humans close to them...

Herrscher also felt the girl's hatred, she was carrying the girl's desire for revenge.
The base had 300 nuclear bombs to use against a potential Herrscher attack, it fired all at once in the last 3 cities in the world. The three cities disappeared in a few seconds. Leaving nothing but huge craters.
The 31022 people at the base became the only survivors of the attack. Herrscher used the base systems to lock all exits from the base.
"Disgusting humans! You didn't let me out, so I'm not going to let - you go anywhere."
"You will never escape this tomb of darkness that you have made for me!"
But Dr. MEI did not give up, she connected the core of her consciousness to the last uninfected system at the base.
Herrscher hooked the bait. The Doctor quickly disconnected the black cube and imprisoned Herrscher right there.
After that the last Herrscher swept what was left of the civilization of the ancient era. The Herrscher of Corruption remained trapped in the black cube from that time to the present day.
In the 15th century Schicksal found the black cube and tried to unlock its secrets just to get more power. Because of this a small fraction of Herrscher's power of Corruption was used and the result was the emergence of the black plague in Europe. And it was for this reason that Kallen Kaslana stole the cube and fled to the Far East.
"Seriously, humanity only knows how to do shit..." Ryusuke took a discouraged sigh as he remembered information related to his current situation. He was really unlucky to have reincarnated in a fucked up world like this.
'Unfortunately, time is also against me..."
Ryusuke understood a detail while feeling the energy around him. Even if he does not use his Herrscher of Binding powers, only with his presence will he gradually weaken the seal of the black cube.
