91 Chapter 89: To The Rift

The Battle For Fort Dunstad had ended as quickly as it began. The stormcloak soldiers were completely caught off guard but so were the imperial troops.

The scene they witnessed would be carved deep into their memories. No casualties on their side and no survivors on their enemies' side. A complete and utter victory. This was what a dragon could do in a battle. Completely shift the balance of it.

Kel stood at the front of the Fort conversing with his group while Nahagliiv and Sahloknir ate the many dead soldiers scattered around the field.

Legate Rikke soon approached with Hadvar in tow. She was in disbelief at what she had just witnessed while Hadvar was mesmerized.

"Haha, I should've never doubted you Kel. Something Yorgen can do, you can obviously do a lot better. But still...just like that, we've won the Fort. All those weeks of planning now seem to have been wasted," said Hadvar while shaking his head.

Hadvar couldn't help but praise Kel and others while Legate Rikke was still quiet. It was rare someone proved her wrong and even when they did it was never to such an extent.

Having her carefully planned attack made to look useless as Kel easily did what she had told her troops would be a hard task. Even without the dragons, any person could see that his group was extremely skilled, this put her at a loss for words.

"Legate Rikke? any comments?" asked Hadvar with a smile.

This made Legate Rikke all the more hesitant to speak, not wanting to look weak either she decided to speak up.

"I didn't think this was what you had planned. Any plan that lessens the casualties and increases our chances of winning. My troops, we'll clean the fort. You all should rest at the camp" she offered after indirectly admitting she was wrong about Kel and his group.

"Thanks for the offer but we won't be staying,"

replied Kel making Hadvar tilt his head in curiosity.

"Come on Kel, tonight we'll celebrate! Why do you want to leave? I thought we'd be attacking the other Forts together?" asked Hadvar a bit confused.

"Lord Kel will provide help but only when it's time to battle," said Silvya while shaking her head.

"That's right, I'm sure it will take you a few days to organize this fort and head for the one in the rift. I'd rather not linger around doing nothing in the woods, so me and the others are going to the rift ahead of time."

"When you arrive in the rift, have a courier deliver a letter to me. We'll be staying in the City of Riften until then. I'm sure the women prefer that to living in the forest, except Aela of course," answered Kel with a smile.

"Just because I don't mind the wild doesn't mean I don't like being cozy in this accursed cold weather," voiced Aela while frowning.

"True, I too love being indoors in this type of weather, keeping myself warm by the fire. Don't you agree Silvya?" asked Lydia after voicing her views.

"Yes, this weather is the best for keeping Lord Kel warm," answered Silvya while nodding her head.

"You mean keeping yourself warm," corrected Aela.

"No. Keeping Lord Kel warm," answered Silvya without hesitation.

"You're wasting your time Silvya, she's a child when it comes to such matters," mocked Lydia while smiling.

"Don't act like you know it all Lydia, you and I are the same in that regard," retorted Aela.

"True but at least I'm knowledgeable," answered Lydia while shrugging.

"Grr" Aela didn't answer and only growled at Lydia.

Legate Rikke and Hadvar felt a bit awkward hearing the conversation unfold.

"*ahem*. Well then Kel, I'll be sure to send a letter once we make camp in the rift. Travel safe," said the Legate before walking away.

"Try not to fall for the temptation in that city too much Kel haha, when I get there I'll show my favorite places to have some fun haha," said Hadvar while showing a smirk.

"Hadvar, go find a broom. You're cleaning up the entire outside region of the Fort," said Legate Rikke while frowning.

"Whaaaa? Wait why? What did I do? Is this because of the tent incident? I swear I didn't know you were there..."

Legate Rikke and Hadvar walked off while arguing and soon Kel and his group set off as well. They left their horses and traveled by the dragon. But before directly going to Riften, Kel had made a stop at the dwarven ruin of Mzinlacheft.

He asked the others to remain and was gone for some minutes, before returning with a large chest.

"Where did that come from?" asked Aela in a confused tone.

"The dwarven ruin in the ground below us. I just happened to know a quick way around the place. Anyway let's go," answered Kel while remaining vague in his details.

No one doubted him after he said this but they were more curious as to what was inside the chest. Kel strapped it to the rest of the gear Sahloknir was carrying before they took off once more.

The dragons landed in the mountains near Riften and the group continued on foot. The rift was notorious for its vampire and animal attacks, especially the latter.

While walking to Riften the group had encountered a single vampire and 3 bears. Vampires plagued the forests of the rift. Mainly because Riften was an overpopulated and busy City. Be it day or night. Caravans and travelers were always moving to and from Riften.

(A/N: AU Riften, About the size of Solitude minus the class.)

Upon arriving at the gate, there was a mandatory search by the guards for illegal substances like skooma. Next to the guards was a priest who would inspect the people to ensure no vampires tried to sneak into the City.

Upon searching Kel's possessions the guards wanted to try and confiscate his goods. The allure of treasure is too good to pass up.

"You can try but I guarantee you won't live to enjoy it," answered Kel casually.

The guards looked at him and his group carefully and immediately backed off. Riften was a gathering place for thieves, murderers, criminals, bandits and many more dangerous people.

Although it had its fair share of innocent and naive individuals, the majority of people present weren't to be messed with. The guards would of course always try to swindle new faces, but even that was risky. That was Riften, a City where risk and danger were the norm.

Almost immediately upon entering the City, Merchants began shouting out prices towards Kel's group whilst others tried walking close while offering a tour or some other service. A little further near the inn, were many lovely women in revealing outfits all looking at Kel with lustful looks.

"My My, such a handsome Nord, how about I let you have me for free?"

"I saw him first, come on Darling. Let Lady Martha take care of you, for you...first time is free".

"Don't listen to these old hags, I'm young and fresh...I'm eager to learn..."

One after another the escorts offered themselves to Kel, a Handsome face around these parts was extremely rare. Kel also enjoyed the many different flavors he was seeing.

"Kel, what are you looking at?" asked a frowning Aela.

"Who me? Just looking at the buildings...this city seems to have a lot to offer you know?...." Kel answered while looking at the many women, heck they even had lusty argonians, seductive Khajits, horny Orismer, Thicc Redguards, busty imperials, toned Nords, loli dark elves, big boobed wood elves....

(MagnuS E/N:how thicc we talkin?)

(Cookie P/N: as thicc as shrek)

'I love Riften....' Kel thought to himself. Meanwhile, Silvya looked around with widened eyes everywhere.

"A Slut there....A Slut Here....A Slut in Solitude....Sluts everywhere we go" she muttered under her breath while narrowing her gaze.
