21 You're just jealous

Being a nosy person I am, I am trying to find out who Cole is meeting today,  So far I am disappointed at myself,  the lovey-dovey couple aka Abby and Lee refuses to tell me anything.

Once, they came back from their date this morning I ask them if they knew anything about Cole meeting anyone but they both pretended not to hear me.

Lee, Abby and I decided to hang out today. We are sitting in our table sipping of drinks, The cafe is small and cute with the walls painted brown with grey concrete. It is just 10 minutes walk from our college.

Abby and Lee in their giggling and sometimes pecking lips, I don't know what compelled me to join them today, being a third wheel sucks. I'll do anything to be away from them, anything.

" Baby do you want my drinks. " Lee says which earn an eye roll from me. Seriously I'm trying hard not to gag.

" No Its fine Lee," replies Abby.

" Are you sure? " SERIOUSLY? , they are too much.

" Lee !! Abby says she's fine damn it you guys are horrible  If this is what it looks like to be in a relationship I will stay single for the rest of my life ."

" Oh, Lyra you're Just Jealous. " Abby says and Lee nodding his head.

" No Thank you. "

" Why don't you find yourself a boyfriend ?" Lee asked.

" Guys, that's not what I want to talk about right now,  can you please tell me who Cole went to meet today? Please Please. You guys are so mean you know I thought we are the awesome foursome Yet you guys keep things from me. " I said sulking hoping they would finally crack.

" Sorry Lyra we promise Cole, he'll tell you If he wanted to ."

I look over Abby begging desperately with my eye but she just looks at me and gave me a weak smile.

" Fine, you guys are the worst friend ever ." I fold my arms and gave them the stink eye. I mean What's wrong with Just telling me who Cole met with,  I can't keep still and I am so so mad at them. Maybe I should just stop talking with them. 

" Lyra"  Abby calls me but I refuse to answer, I know I am being unreasonable and acting childishly but I will surely cry If I speak. I've been thinking of all the possibilities since last night?  What if he went with that Rachel giggling bimbo again?  Or what If he meets his secret girlfriend and refuses to tell me?  I just can't stop thinking and now Abby and Lee refuse to tell me.

I've been denying my feelings since day 1 and I am crazy If I said I don't have feelings for Cole. I'm scared to admit it because saying it out feels so real and I don't want to misread the situation when it comes to Cole. I just need to know If he feels the same way towards me. If I knew I won't hesitate to tell him everything,   I am willing to risk everything and just say I like him a lot lot lot lot.

Yeah, I like Cole do you hear that  I like Cole  Anderson. And I'll just wait a bit and tell him exactly how I feel.

Yeah, that feels so good, phew.

I like Cole God damn it  I like Cole a lot.

" Lyra you look like an idiot smiling like that," Abby says with her weird face.

I look up to see two pairs of eyes looking at me with curious faces I smile wider and Which they narrowed their eyes.

"  Guys I think I like Cole. " I said releasing a breadth od relief. They look stunned for a second and just soon a smile appears on both of their faces.  

" Finally!!!! Whoo "

" Took you long enough to admit huh," Lee says smirking.

" What does that mean?"

" We knew Okay It's Just You and Wole who Is too dense to realize it".

" Wait what??  Cole likes me? ". I ask my heart beating rapidly at the possibilities of Cole liking me.

They smirk and look at me with 'What do you think? look.  Just when I was to open my mouth,  Cole walks in from the door but my focus is not on Cole this time,  It's the girl trailing behind Cole who is really really pretty. She looks so rich and dresses perfectly with a Prada bag, she looks one of victoria secret model. Unlike Rachel, she looks confident and walks like she owns the room. Her hair is styled perfectly in loose curls that flow down her shoulder.

So, that must be why Cole refuses to tell me who he was meeting with. It saddens me to think Cole would never go for someone like me.

Abby and Lee must have seen my face because they turn their heads to see what I was looking and look back at me with a wide eye.

Lee clenches his fist and glare towards Cole. "What the fuck is wrong with him?"

The brunette looks her way towards our table and a smile lits up her face walks towards our place leaving Cole behind her. Cole just follow her without looking up,  he hasn't noticed us and I would love to keep it that way. But as usual, luck is not on my side, the brunette is standing next to our seat and looks down at Abby who is busy ignoring my eye.

"  Abby is that you? " and she speaks,  Abby finally look up at her and gave her a weak smile.

" Maddy, what are you doing here?" She asks confused.

" Oh I request Cole to take me here,  I just want to see around,  Lee ?" She greets.

Lee still glaring at Cole looks up at Maddy at with a forced smile. " Hey, How have you been? "

" I'm great,  Can We sit with you guys," She asks smiling widely.

Her eyes landed at me and smiles warmly,  I smile back with fake enthusiasm and looks towards Cole who seems to be frozen the whole time. He makes eye contact with me and I try not to flinch by the way he looks at me. I look down immediately not wanting him to see the hurt in my face. My eyes dart towards the free sweets place on the table and I start counting them one, two, three, four, five, six, se...  "  Hey, I'm Maddy ."  I look up to see Maddy grinning widely totally oblivious to the situation. How can I ignore such a person who has been smiling from the moment she walks into the door. Although I really don't want to open my mouth right now I've got no choice. I gave her a weak smile and introduce myself.

" I'm Lyra,  nice to meet you, Maddy. "

" You're cute"  She compliments me still grinning.

" Thanks. "

Maddy turns towards Abby and they began talking about how much they miss each other and blah blah blah. As much as I want to leave don't,  Abby and Lee would definitely know I am hurt and pity me. I don't want that.

Counting Sweets all over again doesn't seem so bad too.

There are nine different Sweets and honestly, I want to try every different flavour. I should note myself to take some when Maddy and Cole are gone. Ohhh !!! this is interesting Lee shoes is zebra strip,  It is so ugly, his fashion sense sucks. I wonder what Abby wore today? , 

Abby wore a sandal in golden colour. I like her sandal it looks good in her feet. I rate 9.

Pheww .....

After long hours later,  kidding It's only 30 minutes Maddy decided to leave,  I can't be more grateful,  she wants to look around and go back before Its too late. I mentally Thank God when she says she wanna leave.

" Bye Lyra,  I hope we'll meet again ."  She says standing up. Oh God please I don't want to meet her again.

" sure,  nice to meet you too Maddy. " Lies, lies, please don't come again.

I am so surprised when she hugs me,  and you know what surprises me more,

I hug her back.

If I met her in another situation I am sure I'll like her but for now, I hike her.
