6 Chapter 6

*Ring ring ring*

Jiang Nan opened his eyes. He was still in the hotel room.

'Was that really Liu Shu in my dream?'

He rolled over and looked at the clock

'11:28'

Jiang Nan let out a small laugh

'Liu Shu would be so surprised to see me up this later.'

He got up and decided it was time to get dressed. After he was done dressing Jiang Nan thought for awhile

'Maybe I should go to a cafe then just walk around Paris then have something to eat and come back to the hotel around 5 p.m.'

Before he left the hotel room he took the book with him.

He went to a cafe and ordered some bread and coffee. After that he wanted to take a look around Paris.As Jiang Nan was walking around Paris his mind was elsewhere

'Was that really Liu Shu in my dream? Why would she be there?'

He decided that he shouldn't think about it to much.

As Jiang Nan walked around Paris he saw many couples. He somewhat envied them

FLASHBACK

4 years ago

*Ding*

Liu Shu got out of her bed and grabbed her phone. She looked at her phone. Her eyes grew wider and wider until she let out a scream

"What's wrong?" Lan Mei asked her very concernedly

"Oh my god look at it!" Liu Shu showed her phone to Lan Mei

"Congratulations Miss Liu you have passed the interview. Come in on Wednsady XX for the orientation for interns"

"Oh my god! Congratulations Liu Shu! We should celebrate!" Lan Mei excitedly said.

Wednesday

"Follow me miss." The woman said in a formal tone. She showed Liu Shu around.

Liu Shu looked in awe. She got into one of the most famous corporation, Jiang Corp. She couldn't believe it.

"This is your mentor ,Jiang Nan, he'll be helping you and guiding you through your time here."

The woman turned away from Liu Shu and turned to Jiang Nan.

"Jiang Nan this is Liu Shu she'll be an intern here for 6 months. I'll leave you guys to talk."

The woman walked away.

Jiang Nan but out his hand "Nice meeting you here."

Liu Shu shook his hand.

"Yeah I didn't know you worked here."

"I got the job after I graduated besides.." Jiang Nan got closer to Liu Shu's ear and whispered "my dad wanted me to work here but many people don't know my dad is Jiang Dao ying."

"Really they don't know your dad is Jiang dao ying? Don't they realize you and him have the same last name?" Liu Shu whispered.

"Ah no I changed my name a little bit so they didn't know." Jiang Nan whispered.

"Oh any way how's Zhang Ming? Lan Mei wants to know."

"He's doing pretty well. He got a job at the central hospital. What about you I haven't seen you in 2 years. Prepared to graduate?"

"I'm not sure. Anyway let's push that aside you're supposed to guide me through this time I'll be here."

Jiang Nan chuckled

"Okay okay lets get started"

PRESENT

Jiang Nan walked through Paris. The lights were beautiful

"I really wish Liu Shu could see this..." he thought.

He head back to his hotel. Tonight he didn't have a dream about Liu Shu

ONE MONTH LATER

*Click*

"Ah I'm finally home." Jiang Nan sighed. "I have to go unpack."

Then Jiang Nan heard Xiao tian came up From his bed.

"Did you miss me?"

Then Jiang Nan got the most wettest and smelliest lick on the face.

"Yuck"

Xiao tian kept wagging his tail and staring at Jiang Nan. Then he got onto the couch. Jiang Nan gave him belly scratches.

"Oh yeah I guess I also have to transfer the money to Gu Shang."

Earlier that day Jiang Nan had messaged Gu Shang that he was coming back around 7 pm. So naturally Gu Shang left around 5pm so he wouldn't disturb Jiang Nan.

After unpacking Jiang Nan looked at the clock '9:48'. Jiang Nan decided to go eat, shower and then go to sleep.

After Jiang Nan was done showering he walked over to his desk and picked up the photo sitting on the left side of the desk. The picture was him and Liu Shu on the beach. Jiang Nan thought about all the times when he was with Liu Shu. Jiang Nan's vision became blurry and his throat hurt

"Ha I'm a grown man I shouldn't be crying. Maybe I'm just tried. Yeah... I'm just... tired."

Jiang Nan tucked himself to bed and thought to himself

"Liu Shu would be happy that I I completed part of the bucket list."

Jiang Nan slowly drifted to sleep but his heart still felt heavy thinking about Liu Shu.
