Chapter 1 Introduction

Hello everyone, I'm Aphrodite. And yes, you may recall the Greek goddess Aphrodite at this point. My parents are unquestionably fans of the goddess. That is how my name originated. And while I undoubtedly "inherited" the goddess Aphrodite's beauty, I do not value the beauty I possess. Because, you know, every good thing comes with a drawback; I have Tourette Syndrome. You might be curious as to what the nervous system disorder is. It makes people develop "tics." Tics are sudden, repetitive twitches, motions, or noises. And regrettably, I frequently pass out each day. The "good news" is that the actual cause of this illness is unknown!

I'm so devastated and upset that I have this syndrome, which started when I was two, since it has caused me to experience bullying during elementary school and into middle school. You'll probably be shocked to learn that even my sister, who is linked to me biologically, treats poorly of me. In school , I might suddenly speak or behave in an odd or irrational way. My authority is theoretically broken !But what truly brightens my day is my one and only best friend Ariel, who is undoubtedly a weirdo who enjoys astronomy, crystals, art, and reading . She's essentially the reason I refrained from hanging myself! After all, she doesn't mind if I suddenly faint or have tics, and she treats me like a regular person by telling jokes and gossip. I might suggest that you might think of her as having a negative impact in that regard, but NO, it is actually typical of gossip, right? Even parents and teachers probably did, so why the panic? I like her as a friend since she participates in a wide range of activities that most people don't, and I gain a lot from her!
