1 Girls Are Amazing

What are the characteristics of someone who completes every requirement in life? Money, looks, and intelligence—three things Lin Xiaohui had no lack of.

As a typical Mary Sue character, her father was the chairman of the one and only Lin group and her mother was a famous actress who won several worldwide awards. Adding onto her parents achievements, Lin Xiaohui herself was ranked first in X university, the top university in the entire country! It's said that only those who are qualified can attend this university.

Not only that, but she was also the only daughter born to the Lin's in three whole generations.

It was guaranteed she grew up spoiled. If she ever wanted something—which she doesn't, considering she has her father's credit card—all she had to do was act cute and her family would destroy the world for her.

It wasn't just her family either. If she relied on her looks alone and walked up to a random man on the street, there was a 99% chance he would be willing to sacrifice his life to her.

So just what was it that Lin Xiaohui lacked?

A girlfriend.

That's right, she was what you would call a lesbian, whose heart sang songs for any pretty girl that walked past her. Yet despite her looks and money, none of the women she approached ever reciprocated her feelings.

"Sorry, I'm straight..."

"Sorry, I'm too poor for you..."

"Sorry, your brother threatened to ship my family off to an island..."

"Sorry, I fear for my life whenever I'm around you and your fanboys..."

Do you see the pattern here? It wasn't that Lin Xiaohui lacked something, but that there were too many obstacles in her path blocking her from finding her perfect girlfriend!

She scowled as she scrolled through her weibo and liked every post of super hot models showing off in swimsuits. Was it too much to ask for one of them to be embracing her right now??

Her bestfriend, Tan Ruanjun, sipped on her bubble tea as she stared weirdly at Lin Xiaohui. All this girl ever did was complain about not having a girlfriend to her and it was becoming too much to listen to.

"Xiaohui, why don't you go on a blind date?" She advised. In response to this question, Lin Xiaohui complained even louder.

"Every blind date I attend is full of men! The circle of lesbians in X city is too small." Lin Xiaohui cried helplessly. Tan Ruanjun sighed with her.

Although Tan Ruanjun herself was straight, she was very supportive of her best friend since the two grew up together and it was Lin Xiaohui who helped her family out of debt. The least she could do for her friend was to be supportive.

"Alright, alright. We can pray for your wish to finally come true." Tan Ruanjun laughed and poked Lin Xiaohui. "Let's go to the Internet cafe and play WOH."

"Are you crazy? Your grades are so low yet all you ever want to do is play games!" At this, Lin Xiaohui was pinched by Tan Ruanjun and she shrieked.

"Are you coming or not?" Tan Ruanjun stood and walked off.

"Wait for me!" Lin Xiaohui hurriedly grabbed her purse and ran after her friend.

After the two of them arrived at the cafe, Lin Xiaohui was led by the owner to the back rooms where there were private computers she could play on. Since her identity was quite well known, it was better to be careful lest she encounter someone who recognizes her.

"Using you has it's perks~" Tan Ruanjun teased as she placed her snacks down and sat on the seat besides her. While she munched on some chips, the two of them opened up "War of Honor," a very popular FPS game.

It's been around for several years now, and there were seasonal competitions that professional players could participate in. Some WOH players were even considered celebrities.

Lin Xiaohui wasn't interested in getting deeper into the game however, so she was only a casual player. Tan Ruanjun on the other hand always claimed she wanted to get into the e-sports circle.

"Are you logged in? Let's play duos." Tan Ruanjun exclaimed excitedly once she saw Lin Xiaohui's icon pop up in-game. After a few seconds, the other accepted her invitation and the two formed a team.

The queuing wasn't very long and they immediately matched up in a matter of seconds. The lobby was quite large and Lin Xiaohui immediately recognized Tan Ruanjun's avatar and emoted at her.

Once the match began, the two picked up whatever gun they could find and began shooting other players around them. Lin Xiaohui alone got three kills in an instant and Tan Ruanjun cheered besides her.

"Xiaohui, baby, you're my god!" She shouted.

"Ew, who kidnapped you?" Lin Xiaohui responded with laughter.

[WWYWW headshotted Ruanbao.]

Suddenly, Tan Ruanjun's avatar fell to the floor and her screen showcased three words: you've been killed.

"...What the hell?!" Tan Ruanjun cursed as she clicked out of the match. She hadn't even been given the chance to continue her sentence when she was suddenly dead! She resentfully looked at the profile of the player who killed her and cursed even more.

"Xiaohui, this guy's a smurf!" She clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction.

Lin Xiaohui smiled, licked her lips, and aimed her gun at a certain direction before another system notification went out:

[YourMomHui headshotted WWYWW.]

"Hahaha! Look at this loser, daring to start a side acc when his skills are this bad!" Lin Xiaohui was rolling on the floor with tears in her eyes. Tan Ruanjun was praising her even more now.

"Our Xiaohui is the best~" She jokingly clung to Lin Xiaohui and the latter pushed her away and looked grossed out.

"Junjun, you've gone crazy!"

Meanwhile, on the other side of the computer, Wei Yun was shocked beyond belief. He hadn't expected to get killed by such low level players today. Even if the other side was also a smurf, it was impossible to believe that he—Asia's e-sports champion—could be killed so easily.

A headshot at that.

[OMG....]

[Wtf! Am I dreaming?! Did our God Yun just get killed by some newbie???]

[I have to be seeing things.]

[Someone actually headshot our God Yun!!!]

[Be real, everyone. They were probably using cheats. There's no way to get a headshot without even knowing where the enemy is.]

The comments in his livestream were going crazy over this. He had been streaming this match just now, so the millions of viewers in his stream naturally saw what just happened and some were unwilling to believe what they witnessed.

But Wei Yun knew the person who shot him wasn't a hacker. He had seen it just now; the female avatar turned to his direction, emoted, then shot.

His interest was immediately high and he sent a friend request to the person who just killed him. After a few minutes, the person accepted and he typed out: Little sister, how did you do that just now?

Lin Xiaohui showed the message to Tan Ruanjun before replying: You just suck, bro.

...

Wei Yun's fans were growing angry on the other side.

[A cheater dares to say this. Take off the hacks and then face our God Yun!]

[My husband is the number one WOH player in Asia, how dare this nobody say this!]

[I hope that person sleeps with their eyes open, I'll be in their room tonight. With. A. Pitchfork.]

[I'll be there too!]

Wei Yun looked at his fans threatening the player, "YourMomHui," and he finally told them it was alright and not to take it too far. After that, he turned off the stream and continued to probe the player he just met.

WWYWW: Sister, let's play a match together~ ^_^

YourMomHui: Who's your sister?

WWYWW: Are you a man then? I figured~ Most girls don't have much skills.

Lin Xiaohui frowned and furiously typed back.

YourMomHui: Bro, why are you being sexist? I'm a girl, okay?? Girls are amazing!

After that, she unfriended this misogynistic smurf player and fumed. Tan Ruanjun had gone to get more snacks so she couldn't complain to her.

Who would have expected WWYWW to spam her with more friend requests??? Fighting with him for five minutes straight, she reluctantly added him back and firmly stated: Stop talking to me asshole.

Then she blocked him.

Wei Yun: ...
