11 Two-Star Assessment

A few days later, in the Skynet System.

Lin Yun looked at the long track in front with a serious expression. This track was over 300 meters long and 10 meters wide. The floor was made of smooth metal, and electrified fences surrounded the track from both sides, as well as overhead. The wind howled above the track, yet you could not feel it from the outside.

Once the 90 seconds countdown sign appeared, Lin Yun rushed in.

Lin Yun noticed that the metal floor had become red-hot. A constant warmth was emitted from below.

The final 100 meters were even harder to clear. The constantly changing temperature, the howling winds from all directions, and the even more eerie changes in gravity all posed significant challenges. As Lin Yun was exerting force to jump up, he was suddenly hit with an unexpected Spiritual Attack.

"You were hit with a Spiritual Attack. Spirit Strength -20. Current Spirit Strength is 0. If your Health Points fall to 0, your character will die, and you will fail the mission."

"Warning, your current Spirit Strength is 0. You cannot utilize Spirit Attacks."

If an ordinary person was hit with this attack, he would certainly suffer great mental pain and fall into the trench. However, the digitized Lin Yun did not feel any pain. Why would he be affected? He successfully jumped over the trench and pressed the red button with three seconds left on the timer.

Lin Yun quickly arrived at two conclusions after listening carefully to the electronic voice. First, the EXP required to level up would double after every level. From Level 1 to Level 4, the requirement was to obtain 10 EXP, 20 EXP, and 40 EXP respectively. Second, after leveling up, all his attributes, except for Luck, would increase by one point.

He had experimented before. Each point of Physical Attack was equivalent to an increase of around 10 KG in punching power. There was no way for him to measure the impact of other attributes accurately. However, they should be quite significant as well. This method of increasing his strength by leveling up was extremely effective. However, he wondered if there were any other methods of gaining EXP apart from the Skynet Star Assessment.

As Lin Yun pondered about that, he suddenly heard the Skynet notification voice.

"Clearwater College Vice Dean Guo Yun is inviting you to join Channel QSXYLXC5812. Join?"

"Guo Yun?" Lin Yun frowned and thought to himself. "I don't know her, but I know that she's Dongfang Ruoxue's teacher. Why did she invite me there?"

However, Lin Yun thought that he should not be in much danger in the Skynet System. Hence, he accepted the invitation after a while.

The next second, he arrived at a huge gymnasium. All kinds of equipment were available in the gym, and many Clearwater College students surrounded a giant ring. Lin Yun realized that he had become the center of attention. Everyone turned around to look at him, and Lin Yun heard that hushed discussions.

"He's here, he's here. This will be a good show."

"Lin Yun is so pitiful. I kind of feel bad for him."

"Dongfang Ruoxue is a little too mean this time. I can't believe I used to admire her so much. I never expected her to be like this."

Lin Yun looked up and saw Dongfang Ruoxue standing in the ring, staring down at him angrily.

"Ms. Guo Yun didn't invite you, I did." Dongfang Ruoxue stood in the ring with her hands on her hips. She stared at Lin Yun and calmed herself down before saying loudly, "Get into the ring! I will defeat you properly in front of all the students here at Clearwater College! Don't worry. Ms. Guo Yun will be the referee. This duel will be completely fair."

Lin Yun noticed a middle-aged lady dressed in a blue skirt sat behind the ring. She seemed to look down upon Lin Yun, as she did not even bother to look at him properly. Instead, she did not hide her doting looks for Dongfang Ruoxue.

Lin Yun realized that Dongfang Ruoxue had set up a trap to force him into battling here. In front of these Clearwater College students, he would be utterly embarrassed regardless of whether he backed out or lost the duel. The only way out now was to defeat Dongfang Ruoxue fair and square!

Thinking up to this point, Lin Yun smiled gently and replied, "Dongfang Ruoxue, I'll drag you off your genius pedestal today and destroy your arrogant pride!"

After he said that, he walked firmly through the crowd and got into the ring.

Lin Yun did not back down at all as he stared at Dongfang Ruoxue. He only had one thought. "I might not be your match in real life. However, in the Skynet System, you'll definitely lose to me!"
