4 Chapter 3 - Felix vs. The Wind Mutant... Unleash The Mutant Within

After waiting for two more hours, Felix became anxious. How serious was the injuries?

As Felix was about to 'die' of anxiety, The futuristic gray door was pushed open after a series of metallic buttons being pushed, and Jacob walked out from the room.

"Hah, now I know somebody that I'll definitely have to kill... Just wait for me... Ray." Jacob muttered as he lifted his lowered eyes and spots Felix, a smile already emerges on his face as skipped towards his brother.

Felix got up to talk to Jacob and was inevitably pulled into a warm hug, his cold heart melting for a second as a thought crossed his mind.

This was the feeling of having a family...

"Cough cough. The two of you should have a plausible explanation to cover up the mess I have stumbled upon." Nix said with an awkward smile as she watched the duo. It felt awkward watching these two hug as if the world wanted to end...

The world was close to ending though...

Both John and Felix smiled awkwardly as they pulled out of the hug, a drop of sweat ran down their faces.

"Sigh. It's nothin..." Jacob started with a polite smile as he looked straight at Nix as if saying: 'Madam, we're just playing around... could you just let... this... go?'

Stomp!

"Ow!" Jacob howled in pain as he grabbed his throbbing foot. He then threw an enraged look in Felix's direction.

'This is too much, I just wanted to save ourselves from trouble and this is how you repay me?' Jacob thought, knowing fully well that Felix could hear him to some extent.

"Don't you dare try to drop it!" Felix snapped at Jacob in fury. He had almost lost his credits! Five years accumulated credits worth a fortune.

'That's nearly my whole life of saving that those posers wanted to rob me off! Besides, Nix isn't trouble... she could be as harmless as a fly.' Felix thought, but was he bold enough to say it out loud? Of course, No.

He didn't want to be sent to the hospital yet... he loves himself, and especially... his fragile body. Ahem!

"Okay, Okay. Miss Nix, truth is that some bullies attacked my friend here." Jacob said as he gave Felix a glare emphasising the word, 'friend' before continuing, "When I tried to help, I got beaten down very badly, and Felix miraculously used his abilities. Those thugs are evil, and they deserve to be punished!"

'To wreck the building.' Jacob continued in his mind as he glared fiercely at Felix.

Felix nodded vigorously in approval. He wanted those criminals punished so badly that they'll never look a another person's life savings again! Of course he also didn't want to be punished for just destroying a few parts of the building.

"Did you somehow see who the bully was?" Nix asked with her eyes fixed on Felix, before adding. "Were they wearing a mask or anything?"

Felix's eyes suddenly glowed as a ferociously demonic plan formed in his head. Place all the blame, including the wreckages on Ray and his goons.

Did you say: Always take responsibility for your actions? Bah, that wasn't an action, but a reaction to their action.

"Yes~! It was..." Jacob was about to see, but a massive shockwave suddenly blew him away, as he landed a few metres away from his original position.

Felix was in an even worse shape as he was blown right into a wall, smashing his back against it ferociously.

'What was that?' Nix said as her eyes narrowed, something's wrong. "Guys, don't go anywhere. I'll be right back in a second!

Seeing Felix vanish in a puff of black smoke, Felix wanted to cry. If it was an attack, who'd protect them now?

Felix dashed to Jacob and helped him up before helping him out of the hospital ward. They both glanced at each other with a frown on their faces as they ran towards their dorm.

"Holy Moly! Felix duck!" Jacob spat as he crouched down in an instant. His heart racing.

Whoosh!

A compressed line of air came at Felix from ahead. It was extremely fast and almost invisible as it hurtled towards it's target.

Felix ducked down immediately, his head nearly chopped off by the strange line of wind.

"Sigh. That was a close one, what the heck is going on in the dormitories? A rogue mu-mutant!" Jacob frowned as he staggered to his feet in rage. That b*stards nearly cut him up!

Hmm, Jacob has a 76.89% of being right, the attack looks like it came from a wind mutant... but, there's a 16.11% chance of this being a simple unorganised brawl between some mutants or a planned mutant attack.

But, the chances of that are less not more than 10%

Felix frowned as he ran faster towards his dorms, albeit a lot more cautiously.

F*ck, I've forgotten my dorm number again... what was it!

"Felix were are you going? You're heading right towards the source of the attack!" Jacob yelled trying to warn his best friend from walking into the tigers den.

"But, my money! My card is inside my dorm room, I can't leave without it!" Felix roared as he fumbled around in his pockets for something, before he suddenly remembered his dorm number.

D58!

Somehow, as Felix walked down the halls of the base, checking the numbers of the dorm rooms, the image of minced meat popped up in his head.

Whoosh Whoosh Whoosh~!

All the hair at the back of Felix's neck stood as he spotted three more 'wind lines' flying furiously towards himself.

Felix dashed to the side. A powerful 'windline' tore past, crashing into one of the sturdy dormitory doors and bursting it apart. It's splinters like shards of death flew everywhere.

Felix bare managed to dodge as his clothes was now filled with holes, while injuries were all over his body.

'Heck, who the hell is firing those crazy things at me!'

Felix dashed sideways, narrowly evading the interlocking strikes of the remaining two 'wind lines.'

"Jacob?" Felix called as he saw a human shaped shadow walking towards him slowly. Who am I kidding that guy must've not dared to follow him.

The stranger didn't reply, but instead lifts it's arm and made a swift clawing motion. The move caused new weird wind strikes to come at him.

'Wind Mutant? So this is the crazy b*stard shooting out those mad things...' Felix thought with a grave expression on his face.

Whoosh...

The blades closed up the distance between Felix and it at a rapid rate. Their speed increased as they homed on their target.

Homing Wind Blade Attacks!

Felix immediately flung himself to the side narrowly saving his own life, but not much of the doors behind him which were completely destroyed by the brute force of the blades.

Bang!

Felix immediately felt an immense sense of danger from behind him. He suddenly spun, only to face the brute force of a headbutt.

He was sent skidding back five metres before he stopped. His head was throbbing with pain after the strike, and poor Felix felt a strong temptation to dive back and run.

But, who knows if this was a bully after his money? Or someone who is an enemy of the base? Should I try a mental strike?

'That might just be useless against it. I'm not a physic, so my mental attacks are unsurprisingly dull. I'll just waste up my stamina and still end up where I started.' Felix thought.

Felix eyes flashed.

The enemy was strong and victory was bleak, but he wouldn't go down without a good fight, and wasting his stamina would shorten his time.

The stranger retreated back a few steps. It stood for a moment, contemplating it's next move.

Felix dashed back, hoping to create even more distance between him and the wind mutant. He then focused all his attention on the enemy, his eyes remained fierce as he fixed them on the wind mutant.

Boom!

With an explosive dash, the stranger instantly closed up the distance between them in an instant. Felix was unable to react as the enemy fingers had been slightly bent and cocked, mimicking a claw.

Felix panicked, letting down his guard, and gave an opening. The enemy exploited this advantage and swiftly threw two piercing wind volleys at Him.

Continuous Wind Volley Assault!

Whoosh~!

Bang Bang!

Felix was sent flying back a dozen metres before landing at the other end of the halls, digging a huge crater were he landed forcefully.

Unlike the sharp wind blade these wind volleys were blunt, but contained a frightening amount of power... knocking all the air out of Felix's lungs.

The stranger followed up on it's attack, sending out a few homing wind blades at Felix. It pressed forward firing bursts of wind volleys.

Felix managed to stand up. His eyes were lit up in a blue light, the objects around him all began to tremble as he looked up to the stranger.

Absolute Telekinesis!

Various objects began to fly at the stranger, disrupting their train of thought. Making them lose control of their mutant genes.

The wind blades and volleys weakened considerably as it got closer and closer to Felix, farther away from the wind mutant. Felix, noticing this dashed to the side, dodging the strikes immediately.

Nevertheless some strikes managed to hit him, tearing parts of his clothes, and inflicting injuries on his body as he stumbled up to his feet.

Felix walked towards the stranger, sending a rain of different objects to weaken it. His hands were shaking vigorously, while a frown was plastered across his face.

"I just bought this blue hood, you freak!" Felix roared in anger. His energy flowing rate maximised, as his eyes burst open in a bright blue light.

Absolute Telepathic Control!

Suddenly the wind user frowned as it tried to fire more strikes, but was unable to. This... This...

"You're a Telepath?!" The shadow suddenly spoke in a female voice with a remorseful and frightened tone. Why did she have to bully the wrong person at such a crucial time? This is bad.

She had been hired by Ray to teach a kid in a blue hood a lesson, but that idiot never told her anything about dealing with a Telepath! This is unfair!

Felix was enraged as he clenched his hand into claws and tugged at the air, dragging the shadow into the light. Who the hell dared to ruin his clothes!

Suddenly, a tall slender looking girl with straight blue hair was dragged out of the darkness towards Felix. She was unable to keep her balance as she slipped and fell on the floor on all fours a horrified expression on her face.

"Shirt is 8000. Hmm, trousers were bought at 4000... wasn't it 200 to style my hair? All in all... 14, 000 Credits. Pay up. Then I'll see how to deal with you." Felix said as glared down at the girl with a ferocious expression. Idiots... deserve... to... die- after they've paid for damages first. My money doesn't fall from the sky. Ahem!

"Sir, Miss Avira is at your service! Would you like if I told you who sent me on this suicide mission?" Avira began to speak as she scrambled to her feet in a blink.

Who else except that spineless coward, Ray?

"Don't worry, I need the money. You have ten seconds to find a plausible channel of payment. Ten... nine... eight..." Felix said as he lifted his hands before Avira and began to drop his stretched out fingers consecutively. "Seven... six..."

Avira's face turned as white as a sheet of paper as she suddenly collapsed. Why... why... why?

Just as Avira was racking her brain for a plausible plan of escape, a thought suddenly crossed her mind making a blub lit up above her head.

"I have another information that'll definitely interest you... There's a mutant beast which Ray let into the premises through a portal... I can give you info about it!" Avira said instantly. After seeing Felix's look of contemplation, she nearly leaped in joy.

'Ray... that b*stard! This is taking it too far! What about the innocents in the school!' Felix said as he lifted his head and gave Avira a death glare, "Intellect Grade, Genetic Ancestor."

"It's a highly intelligent ape. A blue one with the super strength ability." Avira said without holding any information back. At least if she dies, Ray would suffer even more!

Felix was about to ask more when a earth quaking roar was heard in his head, sending jolts to his brain and making him grit his teeth in pain as he staggered to the side.

"Anomaly!" The hoarse mechanical voice in Felix's head screamed, as a blue light crashed into Felix, knocking him into the air.

Avira was stunned beyond words as she saw the ferocious blue furred gorilla standing before her, it's reddish eyes flashing in a murderous light as it let out another thunderous roar.
