9 Enjoy your meal

I was having a conversation with the Chief, who seemed to be getting a little frustrated with me, so he was in the process of lecturing me right now, but I all of a sudden got an uneasy feeling, and when I turned to look the other way, I saw the silhouette of a large, well-built man walking toward me.

But somehow, I felt strange after hearing that news, so I didn't say anything else and waited for Makino to take the dish she had cooked.

Although the meals that Makino prepared were nothing particularly noteworthy—they consisted of grilled fish, some vegetables, and orange juice—I could tell that she was an excellent cook because I used to eat her food daily.

"Enjoy your meal."

Following that, the two of us began having dinner inside this closed bar, with the only light coming from the candles. Despite this, the two of us would occasionally smile and laugh while chatting with each other, adding to the coziness of the environment.

After everything was finished, Makino took all of the dirty plates and glasses to clean them while I, who was still sitting on the chair, began gazing into the distance at the back of the woman with this dark green hair as if I were thinking about something.

After what seemed like an eternity, Makino was finally done, and she picked me up again and carried me in her arms as we made our way toward the one and only room in this bar.

"Even though this bed is only big enough for one person since you're still a kid, I think it will fit the two of us," Makino said with a chuckle, and after she put me down on the bed, Makino suddenly did something that made me a little surprised.

Makino, who was now facing away from me, suddenly opened her orange blouse, which revealed a plain white shirt on the inside. Not only that, but Makino also took off her long skirt, which showed that she was wearing shorts.

"Looks like I won't be able to sleep well tonight."
