First kill

The exit neared and it was time to turn. Kyle knew that many people will opt for exiting the university, it was smart but the fear of the unknown made Kyle refuse the thought.

"Now...!" Kyle said pointing to the right but when they turned....they could see more rats. Kyle panicked and went to the other side to see that the crowd leaving the university was also stopped by the rats.

The rats had infested the whole place, they moved through the vents, the floor, and the hole of the roof too.

Kyle could see cold sweat dripping from his head. Screams were all over the place.

Then, He saw a rat coming straight towards him at great speed.

'Move..!!' Whatever he did he could not move his legs. He froze in one place.

'No. I have to survive. I don't want to die before saying sorry to father!!' Kyle thought as he gritted his teeth. When he was leaving for college, he had a big argument with his father. Since then he didn't even talk to him cause of guilt.

But he didn't want it to end just like that.

'Survive..!!' He shouted when he saw the rat just a few centimeters away. He kicked him with all his might.

"Screee...!" the rat rolled various times before hitting the wall.

[CONGRATULATION FOR KILLING A MUTATED SEWER RAT...GAINED +10 EXP]

[LEVEL UP]

Kyle got motivated as he found the weakness of the rats, they may loof fierce but in actuality, they were very weak.

Kyle didn't even listen to the notifications and shouted

"THESE RATS ARE VERY WEAK...JUST KICK THEM WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT" It was a little out of character for him but this was an emergency.

Max got the courage to do it first and then Maria, they both got the notification and gave a thumbs up with a grin to Kyle.

Then the trio made a triangle-type formation and started kicking the rats to death.

Everyone saw it with bewildered eyes, some gave a war cry and started kicking all over.

About an hour later, about 5 rats were left out of about 100. They fled as they could not fight about 50 humans with just the 5 of them. It was their basic instinct to fled.

" Huff..Huff..Huff...T-That was intense" Max said with ragged breathing.

"Thanks Kyle, I should have trusted you first. This was your plan all along right" Maria's voice oozed with sarcasm that hit Kyle hard.

"H-Hey, I just saved your fucking ass and you say these ungrateful things to me" Kyle said while fuming with anger.

"Pfft.." Maria started laughing very hard. She said " I was just messing with you..But I said thanku honestly."

"By the way, have you seen your status, mine has changed a little" Max said.

"Hm..It has increased by 1 jn every stat but what is this WP points" Kyle pondered loundly to which Max face palmed.

"Ah..I saw it's discription.These are where-ever place points, It says you can put these points in any stats. We'll get them after every level up it says.." Maria said

"Oh...thanks, that was informative" Kyle said while clicking the plus sign in front of his stats. He increase his dexterity by 1 and stamina by 2. When he put one more just for experiment, his screen shook a little and nothing got added as his WP points were 0 now.

When all were busy in their own screen, Kyle started looking around. He saw many people with small bite mark on their body. It seems the rats didn't have a big mouth and they killed them just before they could get full.

Kyle concluded that the rats may have poison in their mouth as the bite marks did not look lethal other than the black veins coming out of the wounds.

People were crying here and there, some who died had girlfriend, best friend and some even siblings.

But then he heard a sweet sound coming from behind "Thankyou for the head up, we may have died without it"

A girl with red hair and blue pearly eyes said to Kyle.

Kyle knew her as she was the famous girl's basketball team's captain. She had good curves with a good fit build. She looked rough and ferocious but she was the calm type.

" It was nothing" Kyle said with an awkward smile. They shook hands.

"I am Elina Osloth, what about you..?" Elina said while holding his hand in a firm grip.

"Kyle Kohnson, this is my brother Maxwell and she on his side is Maria, his girlfriend" Kyle said while pointing at them. They also siad pleasantries to each other till the business talk happened.

"So, I was thinking, maybe we should form a team with each other. I have the whole basketball team with me" Elina said as she called her team towards them.

"Did the talk go good, Eli..?" a sweet sound came from the side as a girl maybe a year smaller than them came towards Elina.

"It's a work in progress" Elina said while smiling and then looked back towards Kyle.

Kyle pondered about it and said " Sorry, I gotta talk with my friends before answering...." Kyle said to which Elina just nodded.

Kyle walked to side with Max and Maria to have the talk.

"No, I don't want them with us...." Maria said with a serious look.

Both Kyle and Max were looking at her for further explanation but what she said made them both face palm themselves.
