59 A yandere wife's first inward struggle!

Nine Ascended Kingdoms are on special floors. They aren't counted by the usual world pillar's system allowing others to settle here without any worries. Though the same rules apply if one wants to get here. In order to enter such a place, one has to be in a safe location without any foreign killing intent.

The husband and Xaya could easily enter the kingdom as Anoke and his tribe didn't even try to disturb them at all. Furthermore, Kyoya had finally leveled up to level 60 meaning his feet can stomp on the fourth floor!

The two remaining levels were achieved by dealing with the common monsters such as chicken for the dinner and any other races that got too infatuated by Xaya's beauty. If one denial proved to be not effective, then Kyoya would kill them as those lustful men are just way too horny and persistent.

In this way, Kyoya had achieved level 60, but his knife skills had gotten stronger. He was mostly relying on his system when it comes to his abilities. One could say that this is Kyoya's turn to be persistent and shot as many arrows as possible.

However, there was one thing that surprised the husband!

He strangely felt more familiar with the knife within his palm than the bow itself! It was strange considering archer proficiency is the highest leveled up ability! With such feeling enveloping Kyoya's senses, the spars with Anoke turned into one-sided beating that stupefied Kyoya.

Regardless of that, he was feeling contentment and ready to seek more adventures!

The Grooma Kingdom's gates were open for everyone. The guards on both sides were only monitoring who is entering their lands and checking up on their identities. If someone was here for the first time, the simple strength evaluation had to be done.

"What's your purpose in coming here?"

"We want to become adventurers and roam freely through the unknown to us lands."

"Haha, how honest and romantic! The thrilling adventures filled with mysteries and unknown dangers are every man's romance! Just don't get too intoxicated if you achieve early success, young man. It is easy to die if you are not careful enough."

The guard laughed, then added that Xaya should wear at least some robes to hide her beauty. It was nice to see the helpful guard that didn't really covet his wife and even genuinely wanted to help them.

But that's how it is mostly for the guards within the nine ascended kingdoms. These guards had seen a lot of deaths, lost loved ones along with their friends, or just simply decided to take a break from adventuring.

It is important to grow up in strength if one wants to sleep soundly. The guards had achieved a lot in his life though, so the seat of the guard was open for him. Being the guard in one of such prestigious kingdoms is enough. He can sleep soundly after work! Why would someone aim for the guard who just checks identity for the ascended?

"Thank you for your kind words."

"It is the perfect time for the new generation to begin their journey. As our gods' divine energies swept through the pillar two hundred years ago, the rumors that they might have given birth to new realms and treasures enveloped the whole pillar. The rumors got confirmed one hundred years ago."

"Yes, I have heard about that on my way here."

"The birth of new heroes and villains can not be stopped! Which side are you going to step on, the young one?"

It's not a that bad question. Though villains sound wrong and atrocious, it is better to say that those people just focus on themselves. In this case, most nobles are villains as their interests are what drives them on.

Even if it brings the deaths of innocent.

Of course, Kyoya didn't have to answer this question.

"I am just going to be an adventurer."

"I see. Good luck, you two."

"Thank you!"

Kyoya nodded and brightly stepped forth. On the other hand, Xaya just glanced at the old guard with strange glitter, fighting with her inward thoughts. Is the guard filth or not - was the question within her mind.

He was kind-hearted for them, but the lustful glint couldn't elude the yandere wife's senses! But the old man's speech had diminished this lust and he himself said it so that he wouldn't do anything stupid. The guard had seen a lot and was pretty vigilant.

This caused a lot of inward struggles to appear within Xaya's mind, so she just floated behind her husband like a goddess her beauty portrays her to be.

"It is rather a chaotic city…"

"Hmm?"

The voice of her husband awakened Xaya. She raised her eyes, skimming through the closest buildings. It was hard to see what's inside as the crowd was in tremendous size. They spread across the streets and the couple, who had been looking around in curiosity, was actually the pain in the ass.

However, there were a few rookies like them too, so the outsiders just clicked their tongues and passed through them.

As to why it was chaotic... It was not only because of the crowd! The buildings were in different shapes. A few towers were reaching the skies on the side, there were shrines and temples of each respective gods…

There were actually a lot of facilities that looked too weird next to each other, and then there were shrines that actually reserved a lot of area for themselves.

As Kyoya and Xaya slithered around the crowd, their eyes landed on one of the shrines. It was a wooden shrine surrounded by green scenery and bright trees. There was small pavement leading to the shrine.

No one dared to step on the grassland! Of course, there were a few weirdos.

"Husband, how about we place our house here? If we ask God, then he should allow us. I will bring out my connections!"

"Ugh, I don't think it is fine… We can rent a room in the inn for now…"

"But I want to sleep in our bed!"

"Oh, come on! Just a few nights won't kill you."

"Stupid husband."

Kyoya didn't bother with his wife for now. He turned around and continued his path toward the adventurer guild. The adventurer guild also stood out with a lot of affiliated facilities guarding it around.

For now, Kyoya was looking at the three-flat building built with the red bricks.

"Let's see what kind of rank we are going to get."

"Husband! Take a mission and let's go outside! I want our bed!"

"Xaya… Either nod or shake your head, alright? Do you think I won't touch you if it is not our bed?"

The husband laughed out loud as his wife was just too cute right now! He stroked her hair while she pouted, then with eyes all on him, Kyoya stepped inside. It was time to get an evaluation.
