The Reason

Going Further Dave witnessed the landscape of the dungeon change. The walls and the foundation of the cave were completely made of shining green jade. The deeper he went the more sophisticated the cave became like some kind of underground castle of fantasies.

Thanks to the map, he was able to avoid the traps and find the safest way. He also avoided fighting any monsters for now and just continued to walk.

' It's a different world inside!' Dave thought after seeing that the cave was getting bigger and bigger, When he first entered the cave was around 7 feet tall but now it's around 25 feet high.

Inside the dungeon, after entering he found several other alternative ways to walk but followed the map for something special inside the dungeon. The map was showing a treasure chest icon in the dungeon and dave wasn't very far away from there.

–Keeerrirgh–

He heard a weird voice and suddenly found that there more monsters everywhere. The monster looked like a goblin from its appearance, the only thing different about them was their skin color which was not green but black.

' Where the hell were they hiding?' Dave thought as he looked around and suddenly out of nowhere, an arrow struck him in the chest.

[ You have been hit with poisonous arrows]

[ You are immune to the poison]

" Activate [ Metal Body]" Dave activated his skill and looked quickly moved to attack.

The monster moved to attack with thier weapon but their attacks no longer had any effect. Dave slowly walked towards the nearest monster who ran backward after seeing Dave coming towards him but suddenly Dave leaped in front of him.

" Where do you think you are going?" He said and kicked his chin, the monster flew and crashed into the wall. Seeing that other monsters charged at him at once.

Dave kept receiving the notification every time he killed. These weren't strong monsters, they were easy to deal with. Dave killed them in one attack and then moved forward within the dungeon. Soon enough he found himself in front of a large door.

Unlike the walls and the floor of the dungeon the gate was made of a weird material and was half open. It was too big for a human so Dave wondered what kind of beast was living in there.

' Should I go in or not?' He thought. ' Whatever, I wonder what's in the treasure chest.'

As he walked inside he could see the same Jade marble floor and walls, but this time there was no tunnel going forward, it looked like an auditorium with a platform in the middle of it, the platform was the only thing that wasn't made of jade but of something else entirely.

According to the map, the way toward the treasure chest was through this platform. He walked up to the platform and suddenly felt the air pressing down on him. When he looked up there was a large metal slab falling over the platform. He was standing in the middle of the platform, he tried to get away but there was no time.

" Where did that come from?" He shouted before getting Crushed over the platform under the huge metal slab.

–What a foolish human?– The leopard spoke as he witnessed the human getting crushed under the metal slab.

–He is not dead– A humanoid monster spoke, he sat on a throne made of shiny rocks of different colors including jade. It was also designed using the Soul core of the other monsters.

The creature looked like a human with green skin, pointy ears, and very sharp teeth. Its body was covered with clothes that were made of another monster's hide and scales.

The monsters were looking down at a pond, in which they were seeing Dave. Except for the particular humanoid monster, every other monster watching this looked uninterested in Dave.

–What is special about this human?– A monster with the head of an eagle and the body of a lion asked.

–Amusing, but I don't think he is any special!– Another monster that looked like a human but with the lower body of a snake spoke.

Hearing all of these arguments from another monster the king of the jade garden sighed as he stood up from his throne.

–You may not see this but the forest has been acting weird since he came in here– The king of the jade forest spoke and then looked towards everyone one by one who looked at him with confusion visible on their faces, – As you know, I have the power of fairies in the body. I am connected to the forest and it's been weirdly acting since the moment that human walked inside.–

–If he's a threat then why haven't you taken any action– The Griffin asked. –Allow me, I will rip him apart before he can do anything.–

–That's the problem with us monsters, We think everything can be resolved with power. I didn't kill him because I sensed a Divine Protection from that human. If we are responsible for his death then we will be punished several by some unknown god– The King explained.

–Are you sure? Because I think the human level is lower than us– The Leopard spoke.–We can kill him because he is not strong enough yet, if he truly has Divine Protection then I am afraid he will be a big threat to us. From my observation, I can tell that this man just wants to plunder the forest for treasures.–

– Ah, I think you don't like that human very much that's why you are so persistent about killing him, this is the 5th time you have suggested killing him. Don't think of taking any unnecessary actions without my permission and don't annoy me anymore. Otherwise, you would make a fine set of clothes for me–

The King of monsters threatened and showed his sharpened teeth to the leopard who lowered his gaze due to fear. The other monsters also fell silent and witnessed whatever was going to happen next.
