4 These Tropes Are Way Too Hard To Accomplish!
"Hey you guys, what are you doing!?" I shouted out to the 3 men who were bullying the little girl.
They interrupted their trash-talking and looked at me with annoyed grins.
"Who the hell are you? Mind your own business!" One of the men said, the man had a handsome face, crystal blue eyes, and luscious hair; Which severely pissed me off. I continued to approach them and stopped when I was around 2 meters in front of the aforementioned guy.
I said
"My name is Kasoha Iichiro, I'm someone. More importantly, why are you bullying this girl!?"
The Girl started laughing a bit in the background and said
" 'I'm someone'!? Hahaha, such a stupid way to introduce yourself."
I looked back at The Girl and said "Shut up!" before looking at the man again.
The man said
"The reason is as simple as it gets. She's poor, I'm rich. I mean, pretty obvious."
I immediately retorted
"What!? What the hell is that motivation!? Just because you're rich, you can throw away your empathy!?"
The man paused for a moment before responding
"Hmmm. Yeah, why not? She's POOR, didn't you hear me?"
I shook my head in extreme disappointment. I then looked up and said
"I don't care. I'm gonna stop you!"
The man looked at me in a weird way and said
"...How? You look extremely weak, and like I mentioned; I'm RICH!"
I suddenly burst out
"Just because you're rich doesn't mean you can do what you want! Stop using that as the excuse for everything."
The man once again paused and then simply uttered
"No…?"
I grunted and prepared my fist
"Whatever! I guess you'll just have to taste my heroism!"
My hand was surrounded by some sort of white light that flew into the center of my hand. The man and his 2 friends looked at the fist in horror.
I threw my punch at him and screamed out
"PHANTOM--- PUNCH!"
My fist flew through the air with a terrifying velocity, reaching the target destination quickly.
*BAAM*
The impact was devastating, The man instantly flew to the ground in a state of misery. The same went for me who also fell down.
"OOOUCH! What the HELL was THAT!? I'm rich, so how could this be!?" The man screamed.
The same happened to me, I screamed
"OOOOOOUCH! WHY did I have to HIT the HEART!? WHYYYY?"
This drew the attention of everybody, one of the 2 friends commented
"Why the hell is that guy also in pain?"
The other one said
"Who knows? But that's to our advantage, isn't it? Let's just go and beat the hell out of him."
The first one, who had a pair of mediocre glasses agreed
"Figures..."
The two approached me, I instantly stood up to prepare another punch. The white light surrounded my hand again, and I threw the punch. The punch landed on the guy's glasses, effectively breaking them. The guy then fell to the ground, like the two of us did earlier. I also fell to the ground again in agony.
"OUCH! My glasses are broken! DAMN you!" The man shouted out into the streets.
"OOOOUUUCH! NOW MY FACE AND MY HEART HURTS! I YEARN DEATH AT THIS POINT."
I was begging to the God Companies to take my life away, the suffering was indescribable. But the salvation didn't come for me, instead came the last one of the trio. This man had a sub-par pink Mohawk and intense eyes. At this point, my body was in shambles. Not physically, since I didn't take any damage from the punches, but Mentally; My brain wouldn't allow me to move my body. The man smiled a bit and picked me up by grabbing my arms and pulling me up. He then put me in a 'human shield' kind of position.
"Hey guys, stop being such idiots and help me with this piece of shit." The man alerted his friends.
The guys with the broken glasses stayed down, but the handsome man stood up. Barely.
He proceeded to walk up to me and started to pummel my body.
*Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam*
This didn't help me at all, this combined with the previous pain was utterly crushing. I looked at the little girl, who was staring at me with big sad eyes. That was crushing in another way, soul-crushing.
-I'm sorry, little girl. I wasn't able to save you as I imagined. I was cursed the moment I came to this earth… Wait, I still have a card that I haven't played yet! -
I suddenly looked over to The Girl.
The Girl was looking at me with a pitying look. I smiled at the sight of victory, I gathered the last of my energy and screamed
"Hey, The Girl! Come help me!"
The Girl, being the cold-hearted person she was, simply looked away. I then again screamed
"Don't do it for me! Do it for the girl!"
The Girl then looked at the girl, who had those eyes one couldn't abandon. The Girl sighed heavily and started tapping her shoulder.
*Tap Tap Tap Tap Tap*
She then walked towards the handsome man.
I said
"Haha F- UGH- ck you g-UGH-uys, I'm the winner here."
Whilst saying it, I was punched a couple of times; So it was hard to make a coherent sentence. The handsome guy calmed down a bit and commented
"Oh really, by who--"
He interrupted himself when he saw The Girl. His heart suddenly skipped a beat and his cheeks started blushing a bit.
- Really!? Did this piece of shit just fall in love with The Girl? This could be really bad for my strategy. He is a handsome man, and The Girl probably likes handsome men. If he gets her over to his side, then both of them will pummel me; I'll die(Again)! Damn that girl! -
The girl was now in front of the Handsome man. The handsome man made his move quickly
"Well Hello, young lady. What brings a beauty like you to a place like thi----"
He was interrupted once again. But this time it wasn't by himself.
He got punched right in his face by The Girl.
"Fshoooooow"
He flew into the wall behind them with a terrifying force.
The Girl looked at the Mohawk guy's scared face with a light smile, she said
"I hate self-righteous, spoiled bullies like you and your friends!"
The Mohawk guy suddenly let go of me and started running away. On the way, he picked up the Glasses guy and ran away. The Handsome also slowly stood up and started sprinting
"Yeah, you better run! I won this battle against you!" I screamed out to them. The Handsome man said
"I'll remember this, Kasoha! Also you the girl, remember my name; It is Okane Gaaru."
- No way! I can't let The Girl go to his side! Now, I don't have any romantic feelings towards The Girl. She's been quite mean and rude towards me. But if she goes to his side, I'll straight up die. There's no other scenario in my head that could be possible. This could be quite the dilemma...-
After seeing the people run away, I relaxed my body and turned around. The little girl had gotten a significantly happier face.
"Thank you for saving me!" The little girl said while facing the two people who had perhaps saved her.
I slowly lifted my arms in preparation to embracing the girl, I said
"You're welcome."
The little girl sweetly smiled and started sprinting towards us.
*Woosh*
That's the sound that was made when the little girl suddenly flew past me and into the embrace of The Girl. The action that I had to witness was heartbreaking. The self-image of a hero that I'd built up the latest 5 minutes suddenly came crashing down into a state of embarrassment and regret.
After the little girl hugged The Girl for a bit, I decided to challenge fate. I said
"What about me, little girl?"
The little girl paused in her movements and looked at me estranged. Her small left foot was put forth and so was a pointing index finger towards me. She said with a cute voice
"Why would I? You didn't do anything before. You were just weak..."
Despite her voice being quite cute, the contents of what she said were devastatingly mean. The words that were uttered weren't too bad by themselves, they were the truth after all. But with the context added to it; They had quite some impact mentally. I instantly said
"What!? That's way too mean! Without my interruption, no one would've saved you!"
The little girl let out a clearly audible 'Hmph!' and turned her head to the left whilst pouting her lips in dissatisfaction. The Girl finally decided to actually talk and chimed in with
"Well, Well, Let's calm down a bit. Little girl, what's your name?"
The little girl lit up a bit and immediately face The Girl, she said
"My name is… Wait, could you come closer..."
The Girl nodded and leaned in towards the little girl. The little girl opened her mouth and said something that I was unable to hear, due to the distance between us.
The Girl said
"I see..."
I looked at them with an intrigued face and said
"So…? What's your name?"
The Little Girl chuckled ominously before revealing
"Like I'm going to tell you, idiot! Only the worthy deserve to know my name! You may call me Maira, but know that that isn't my real name! Kuh-hu-hu-hu."
My jaw dropped to the floor in surprise.
- I had no idea that I was this unlikable. This is all coming quite quickly to me, so I'm experiencing some difficulties comprehending this. Also, WHY!?-
I shouted
"Not you too! There's no way I'm this unlikable among people, I had a respectable amount of friends in my past life! Why am I being tortured like this!?"
Maira commented
"Past life…? What does that mean?"
I suddenly realized that I kind of messed up so I immediately tried to clear my mistake. I said
"Uhh, nothing! I was just too shocked, so I uttered some nonsense. Don't mind!"
The Girl also realized the mistake and backed me up, she said
"You know, he's a big idiot, right?"
I signaled with my hand by making big circles in the air and said
"Big, big idiot."
Maira said
"That's right! You're such a big idiot!"
I immediately sighed out in relief, so did The Girl.
- Whew, that was close. I guess self-deprecating behavior really can help in certain situations. Wait…
WHY DID I GET SO WORKED UP TRYING TO CONVINCE A 12-YEAR-OLD!?
There was no actual danger in this situation… And still, I got so stressed about it… I really am a big, big idiot. -
The girl suddenly stopped sighing in relief and asked Maira
"Where should we take you now? Where do you live?"
Maira answered
"Just take me to the guild. My father works there, so he should be there now."
The Girl smiled at the opportunity that she had been given, she then asked
"And where is the guild?"
Maira looked at the two of us with a judging face, she answered
"What are you guys, stupid or travelers? It's right up there."
Maira used her index finger once again to point up at the sky. Up there, one could see the giant building with the tower that calmly looked out over the environment.
"Well… Let's go then!" I said and put my fist up in the air, imitating a Shonen protagonist looking for adventure. Despite the fact that I had failed several vital tropes this day alone.
