5 The Gathering Part 2

"Really? When? Where?" Joy stopped crying and was now wearing an excited face over her ruined make-up.

"I did. She's a trainee at JYP..." I told her everything what I knew, including my plans and the reason why I left SM Entertainment.

"This is amazing! Finally! After 5 years! You finally found her!" She's jumping up and down while holding my hand.

This is why it's amazing to have her as my best friend.

"Thank you Sooyoung-ah… really…" I sincerely thanked her and she just smiled at me brightly.

"By the way Joy… did you grow taller?" I knew that she was a tall girl back in the past, but wow! She's just really tall!

She actually has the same height as me now.

She then frowned and said, "Yeah. I did. But I don't really like being tall. I might have a hard time looking for a partner."

"I don't think so. There will be a lot of tall guys in the industry though. Being tall is quite normal in the k-pop industry. For example, Tzuyu Chou, the girl whom I was talking to earlier, she's quite tall as well." I tried to cheer her up.

"Oh yeah! Her! She looked really pretty JayB. How could someone as perfect as that exist?! Are you sure SHE's not that girl of yours?" She's trying to tease me.

"Someone already got first dibs on her. So don't worry, I'm still yours." She blushed from that comment and slapped on the shoulder.

It really hurt!

"S-shut up! Don't say things like that!" She stuttered.

She's really cute when she's acting all flustered and shy.

I just smiled at her and responded, "Hey, you started it. Now come on, let's get back to the party."

"Wait a while I need to fix my make-up!" She said before rushing off to the nearest bathroom.

Seriously… I will probably never understand women.

The party went on smoothly as the other guests started arriving. I saw my friends talking with a lot of people and I knew that those people were trying to get on their good side to get a chance to work with them.

I then turned to see Yo Chul who was talking to probably one of his clients. He then saw me and motioned for me to head over there.

"JayB! Hey! I want you to meet someone." He then tapped the shoulder of a tall foreigner who had a little girl hide behind her back. "This is Marco Bruschweiler. He's a Swiss chef who is now working in Thailand. I got to work with him there. He actually wants to ask for advice about starting up his own restaurant in Thailand."

The guy gave me a warm smile. I could tell that his intentions were genuine and that he was not a bad guy. "It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Kim Jinbo. Your friend really speaks highly of you."

He held out his huge hand and I gladly took it. "Please, call me Jinbo and the honor is mine."

I could tell that he was a caring person based on his handshake. It was really warm. "You are really polite as they say. By the way, let me introduce my step-daughter, her name is…"

"Lalisa…" I said in a tone that's almost a whisper.

It's her…

She stared at me as if she was confused as to why I already know her name.

"Oh? Have you guys met before?" Her step-father was curious as well.

I decided to lie about it and told them that I saw a video online of a girl who danced really well. I told them that she really looked like that girl. They all bought the story and we continued chatting. I gave him the advice he needed to start up the business and he was really happy about it.

Lisa and I were starting to get left out with the topic because Yo Chul and Mr. Marco were already talking about food.

Trying not make her feel uncomfortable I started talking to her in Thai. She was shocked as to how I knew it. I told her that our family had several businesses in Thailand so I had to learn Thai at an early age.

We began to feel comfortable with each other and she was starting not to act shy anymore. She told me that she wanted to become an idol someday and I just supported it.

Besides, in the previous world, she was already internationally known for her dancing and rapping skills.

"Go train in South Korea next year. Whichever company you decide to choose, give the company my name and remember to contact me for the referral letter. I'll make sure you at least get to decide which company you get to train in." I told her.

Ecstatic to hear that from me, she suddenly hugged me tightly.

I was also shocked that I just patted her back.

She then pulled back and she turned really red, "I'm really sorry! I just got so excited and-"

"Don't worry about it. I know exactly how you feel. So how about it? I'll see you in South Korea next year?" I changed the topic to help her avoid being awkward. I gave her my email and likewise so that we would stay in contact.

Social media at this time was still not that established but she decided to add me up anyway.

We ended up being friends in this world too. I guess fate has its way of bringing people again.

In my previous life, Sooyoung was not my best friend but it was Lisa. We were really close because we were both dancers and I wrote two of their songs as well.

Over time I gradually started to like her. It was fine at first but everything changed when I told her about how I felt.

She immediately cut off all our communication because YG Entertainment apparently found out and warned her about it.

They could not do anything about me because I was one of the most sought after producers in the industry. Ending on a bad note with me might sour our relationship with the company.

But I wasn't like that. I tried to keep my personal life and work life separated.

Then again, it wouldn't be good for me either since the fans would probably hate me for it.

It was already bad enough when one of their members were caught in a dating scandal.

But despite that, we found a way to still remain friends and secretly communicate.

Well, she did help me in those tough times. I guess repaying her in this life won't do any harm.

After talking to other guests in the party, I heard a clink sound from the stairs of the hotel where a small stage was made and could see my father trying to get everybody's attention.

"Thank you all for coming here tonight. It's really wonderful to see friends, family and guests, gather in this place and giving us the support we need." After dad opened up his speech, applause rang in the venue.

After it settled down he continued to speak, "Before I continue to share the details about the project, I would like to acknowledge the presence of the 9 prodigies."

The crowd cheered and applauded as we gave them small nods, waves and smiles.

"May I ask them to join us?" After my dad called us up, we slowly walked towards the small stage and lined up behind him.

My dad was really happy to see us all gathered again. He treated my friends as sons. The moment he came near Zee to shake his hand, Zee turned to look at all of us before looking at my father smiling at him.

He didn't take the handshake but we immediately flocked towards my father and did a big group hug.

"Hahaha! It's really nice to see all of you in one place. You know how hard it is to gather all of you together? Such busy kids!" My father joked.

Everybody laughed while Jiwoo yelled, "We love you this much Mr. Kim!" and they actually do. In fact, my dad would fund their research and projects because he really cared for them and so did my friends.

We were already like family.

"Haha! You know I love you guys too." He replied before he turned to face everyone else and explained what this was about.

We just finished constructing our 5-star hotel which was located in Paris. It was a very large hotel that all the prodigies helped with. It was state-of-the-art and probably the only one of its kind.

It had the highest security in the world created by Zee, with the most elite guards trained by Matthew himself.

The staff and the cooks were top quality as well. They were personally trained and handpicked by Yo Chul himself. I heard that it was quite gruesome since Yo Chul is known to be a perfectionist and is quite picky.

It had sports facilities inside and even a gym too. This was all designed by Jiwoo. He actually provided well-rounded sports coaches and instructors for the hotel as well. Other than that, it is the only hotel with a hospital and elderly group home beside it. It would be run by the parents of Dominic. They already provided the best doctors for the place. Even Seiji provided the new and improved medicine that can only be found in the hotel's hospital.

There are also multiple theaters, shopping districts and cinemas inside the hotel. This was Zhang's idea which pretty much made it even better and entertaining.

Jeong Do and I on the other hand handled the legal matters and as well as winning over investors. It was pretty much easy since I had Jeong Do to threaten anyone who didn't want to. Other than being the best lawyer, Jeong Do is pretty much the best detective around. Digging up somebody's dirty secrets were a piece of cake for him.

That's why he's practically in a different country almost every day. Even in countries that I've never even heard of.

This is our hotel. The first hotel we ever made as a group which costed us billions of dollars and a lot of big time investors to finish.

My father came up with a name that I though was cheesy but I still went with it though. It's called Nirvana's Gate.

This announcement earned the cheers of everyone in the crowd. After we went off the stage, we had many people coming over us who either congratulated us or who wanted to invest in it.

It was a long night for everyone as we answered all their questions.

"Ugh! Finally!" Zee said as he plopped down beside Woo's bed in our secret room.

Yo Chul actually passed out the moment he leaned on his bed post.

"That went well…" Jeong Do was very exhausted as well.

Matt, who was still pretty much awake, was the only one who was in his right mind and even tucked Yo Chul in his bed properly and said, "So… now we have that out of the way… when are we going to start training for our debut?"

Everyone who was still awake looked at him as if they forgot about what we were talking about before the gathering.

"We still have the press conference tomorrow hyung. Let's deal with that first." Dominic answered. He was pretty much almost knocked out. For a doctor, this guy pretty much just wants to sleep.

"Are we really doing this?" Seiji asked but everyone just contemplated on the question. "Screw it… let's just do it. I actually enjoyed it earlier."

Everyone then look towards me as they started waking up the others. They were practically waiting for my instructions.

"After the press conference tomorrow, I'll give you guys a week to settle all your personal matters. Make sure that even if you will be on hiatus in your respective fields and companies, it would still be able to function as if you were running your own companies. Jeong Do and I will help you if you have problems with that. Zee will create a program that would enable us to still keep tabs with our companies. In a week's time, we'll all meet at JYP Entertainment's trainee building. Is that clear?"

They just nodded in response.

I turned to look at everyone in the room.

These were the people who I'm going to debut with.

We are going to make history together!

"Okay, let's call it a night." With that, we began our journey to become k-pop legends.
