7 Show Your Case Part 2

"That was amazing! Don't you think so GD-ssi?" Taeyeon-sunbaenim came up on stage as we slowly made our way off the stage.

G-Dragon-sunbaenim also came from the other side of the huge stage and made his way to the center, "That's right Taeyeon-ssi! Now, can I hear from you guys? Which company has struck your hearts?" He then turned to ask the crowd which earned him a loud cheer from them.

I could hear it even in the hallway towards the dressing room.

"I personally think SM Entertainment's girl groups made an impact." Taeyeon-sunbaenim said in a joke since she also comes from SM Entertainment.

"No no no no... I could hear a lot of cheers for YG Entertainment's trainees." G-Dragon-sunbaenim also retaliated with a joke of his own.

"We'll just have to see at the end of the night." G-Dragon-sunbaenim said.

Taeyeon-sunbaenim then moved on to the next segment. "Of course, tonight won't be complete without the people who actually invested on the lives of these trainees, right G-Dragon-ssi?"

"Right! So let us introduce the people who will decide the fate of these trainees, the company CEOs!" G-Dragon-sunbaenim responded and proceeded to introduce each one of them and their credentials as well.

The cheers were so loud that Taeyeon-sunbaenim and G-Dragon-sunbaenim's voices could not be heard.

"Now that we've introduced them, we're going to see the first set of trainees in a while." Taeyeon-sunbaenim said.

"Right! But before that, we will see a joint performance of last year's trainees who are now known to be amazing rookies in the industry." After G-Dragon-sunbaenim said that, there was a loud cheer coming from the crowd. They already know who these people are since they were on stage.

When the crowd settled down, they all began screaming again after Taeyeon-sunbaenim announced. "Please give a round of applause to, BTOB and Got7!"

I was panting very hard as I made my way to the hallway leading to our dressing room. On the way there someone patted my back and said, "Great job! You guys did great!"

When I turned to look at him, it was Mark-hyung who was already in full make up and outfit as if they were going to perform.

"Shouldn't you be in a different studio?" I asked.

He chuckled as he shook his head, "Paboya! This IS the studio. We're doing a surprise performance today."

I laughed as he ran off towards the other members who are now going up the back stage together with some familiar faces.

Just as I was about to head towards our dressing room I felt a slap on the back of my head.

I didn't wait to see who it was I just yelled before turning. "YA! Who the hell… Seulgi-noona."

That's right…

It was Seulgi-noona.

We haven't talked or seen each other after I left SM. I haven't even called her.

"Noona… how are you?" I meekly asked her as she just crossed her arms and glared at me.

I could see Joy just snickering behind her while the other members were whispering with one another.

"Noona… I'm…" I stopped talking because she raised her hand in front of me signaling me to stop talking.

"Joy told me everything. You could have at least called, ya know? Some friend you are." She said.

"Sorry noona." That was all I could say. I really don't know what to say.

She breathed out a deep sigh. "Is she really worth it?"

The moment she said that, the people who heard turned to look at us weirdly.

But I ignored them and said, "Yes. She is."

I knew she could see the resolution in my eyes as she just gave me that warm smile.

Then one of my managers called for me and scolding me to hurry and get change.

"Go." That was all she said before she turned her back at me and left.

"What took you so long? Hurry up and get change so we can retouch your make-up!" One of the managers said.

Woo then stood beside me and asked, "Hyung, I saw a woman smack your head. Was she your ex-girlfriend or something?"

This guy seriously…

"Woo… you know we're supposed to stop gossips. Not start one, right?" I said that before I went to change my clothes.

He was left there dumbfounded and even more curious.

The moment I stepped out of the changing corner, I saw Dom just dancing idiotically while everyone else started laughing. He is after all the mood-maker of the group.

Yo Chul was obviously in a bad mood. Dom might have created a joke that annoyed him. He really hated that.

I smiled at everyone who was trying their best to shake of the nerves.

Seiji then spoke, "Ooh! Big Hit just finished their rounds. It's going to be Pledis next!"

We all watched each company present their trainees. The more we watched the more nervous we became. The manager decided to turn the TV off. He probably saw us being tense.

The maknae line decided that we should play the mafia game to calm ourselves down.

So we did.

After a round of mafia, we were already called to prepare to head towards the back stage since it was already YG who was presenting their trainees.

We formed a line and went to the elevator to head back to the studio.

We were now in the backstage together with EXO who were getting ready to perform after YG Entertainment finishes their set.

I didn't approach the EXO members because I know that they are also shaking off their nerves and are warming up. So I just stayed with my team.

Just then, the managers for JYP asked us to line according to our groups. We stood beside the Team A of the male group and the Team A of the girl group from our company stood beside us.

The managers were just checking if everyone was here and if they didn't forget anyone. They were also reminding us what to do on stage.

I was jumping while warming up my vocals so I didn't notice that there was someone beside me. But…

I could feel her staring at me…

Even after we broke our formation to warm up separately, she was still staring at me.

So I quickly took a look at who it was and it shocked me.

It was my "her"…

She continued to stare at me while she was smiling.

She was still pretty and charming.

"Is there something on my face?" I asked her.

She then turned her head in embarrassment and walked away.

I didn't stop her though since it wasn't time to meet her yet.

If I end up meeting her here, we might not become K-Pop stars.

So I let her walk away. She didn't stay away that far though. I could still catch glimpses of her in the corner of my eyes.

She was still looking at me. I could see it.

Then, I heard cheers from the crowds and saw the YG trainees go down the back stage.

I didn't mind them and just applauded mindlessly as I warmed my vocal chords.

"Jinbo-oppa!" Someone suddenly called me which earned the attention of everyone, including "her".

I even saw her frown as she heard that and walked away.

"Oppa!" She tapped my shoulder. I could hear the person panting so turned around and gave her my towel.

"Who are you calling oppa, huh?" I said while I messed up her hair a little.

Wow… her bangs didn't move a bit.

"Oppa! Stop! You're messing up my hair! Kekekekeke!" She was more talkative now.

"I see you've grown a bit Lisa. You're really a good dancer now. Even better than before." I told her.

It was Lisa Manoban and right now she was a trainee in YG.

"All thanks to you oppa. Thanks again for everything." She said that as she bowed and just left me there.

The people around us started to give me a smirk.

No… it's not like that… it's not what you think…

I tried to look for my "her", but she wasn't there.

I guess she had to prepare too.

It was finally our turn…

"G-Dragon-ssi!" Taeyeon-sunbaenim energetically said.

"Yes Taeyeon-ssi?" G-Dragon-sunbaenim went with the script.

Taeyeon-sunbaenim then jumped as if she was excited before she continued speaking, "This next group of trainees wrote their own song for their showcase!"

That announcement earned a wow and an ooh from the crowd.

G-Dragon-sunbaenim raised an eyebrow and said, "Really now? That's brave of them!"

"Indeed, it's risky to use your own song that no one can sing along to. What are you planning JYP-ssi?" YG's CEO remarked seriously.

"What makes it even more exciting is that it's a genre that we haven't even heard of yet!" Taeyeon-sunbaenim exclaimed.

The CEOs from the different companies stood up and just stared at JYP dumbfounded.

It was obvious what was on their minds, "They are trying something new HERE?"

"Taeyeon-ssi… you're obviously more excited than the people here." G-Dragon-sunbaenim said.

"Of course! I'm a fan of great music!" Taeyeon-sunbaenim replied.

"And without further ado. Let's watch their trailer video." G-Dragon-sunbaenim directed everybody to the screens.

When we were entering the stage, I could see the surprised and shocked expressions of the people.

They were probably not used to new things.

Our video was somewhat like an intro or teaser to an MV. Strike that… it was like an intro to a comeback.

The other trailer videos of other teams, were different.

They would be introducing their members and what their roles would be. They would also show their behind the scenes footage of their practices and struggles.

But our video is different.

Its elements and colors are black, white and gray making it seem… mysterious…

We were all speaking in English in this video.

A glitch started of the trailer… buzzing and humming noises while the screen glitches.

Random videos of dancers and trainees were shown from black and white to color.

Seiji: The world is often mysterious itself

Then it faded into black before exploding into an all-white background where Zee is floating in the space of all white.

Zee: We come here in to this world unsure of our purpose.

Then Zee suddenly fell and the screen turned black again.

The voices overlay as if it was a broken record

Jeon Do: Everyone is like that

Zhang: Everyone is like that

Then a droplet seemed to have dropped on the screen creating ripple effect.

Jiwoon: Everybody… is like that…

Then a gray hand reaches out from the screen as if it was calling for help.

Matt: Everybody needs the same thing

Then it turned red and we could see Matt fighting off something and Dom arriving and covering his back, fighting alongside him. After standing back to back, the camera zooms in on Dom while his eyes were closed and the background was black again.

Dom: That's why we're calling out to you.

As soon as he said that, his eyes opened revealing his sky-blue colored eyes. And it zoomed into his eyes revealing the same color of water. This time, it was Yo Chul floating on the water.

He turned his face to the side where the camera was half submerged in the water and the dialogue continued.

Yo Chul: Question is…

He snapped his fingers then everything swirled as if it went to the drain revealing a silhouette of 8 figures and a guy inserting himself in the middle.

It was me.

JB: Will you answer it?

I gave one last smirk before the screen turned off like a television.

1 second…

2 seconds…

5 seconds…

It was silence as if everybody was dumbfounded of what happened.

Well I knew. I was the one who directed the trailer.

No one in this world ever did that… yet…

So, I introduced it to this world.

Then the loudest cheer of the night came.

In a house somewhere in Korea…

"This is actually possible to do?" A man asked her wife.

"They just did it, didn't they?" His wife answered.

Another house somewhere in Korea…

"Who are these kids? They're defying the rules!" A k-pop star said.

"But it's a good thing, right?" One of their members interjected.

"…"

Back in the studio, the cheers were already loud enough but it went even louder when the music began playing.

It was the first time anyone from this world heard this song and with that, they went wild.

I predicted how they would react, besides, this was Shinee's "Everybody" which garnered 6 awards in 1 week in the previous world.

And this marked the day that the k-pop industry blew up in this world…
