15 Lost and Found

"What do you mean missing?!" Yo Chul-hyung yelled.

"Shh… keep it down hyung. You're attracting unwanted attention." Woo warned.

People around were staring at us weirdly while whispering to their companions.

We decided to head back to the company first to discuss what to do.

"Okay… we're here. Spill!" Yo Chul-hyung impatiently said.

I understand that he's concerned. After all, Victoria-noona is a close friend of his. So he really must be worried. I told them what Victoria-noona told me. The rest of the members started to fell a little anxious now.

Alpha worked with f(x) in our first few months in the industry. Both of our groups were working on a commercial together. That's how our became close.

"We have to do something." Matt-hyung said.

"I already have a plan. But it only involves a few people. The rest would need to go home to the dorm." I instructed.

Yo Chul-hyung then butted. "No, JayB! I'm coming with you and there's nothing you can do to make me stay!"

I went to his face. "Are you sure about that?"

Dominic had to separate the both of us before something bad might happen. I'm also starting to feel anxious here. But we have to move fast.

"I need 4 people to go with me. Zee, Matt-hyung, Jeong Do and Dom, you guys are with me. The rest of you go home. We'll update you on the matter." As soon as I said that I started heading for the parking lot.

But before I could turn around, a hand grabbed both of my collars and lifted me up. It was Yo Chul-hyung. "You find her. No matter what. Got it?"

I just nodded slowly before he let go of me and started walking away.

The rest of the members who were not part of the plan started running after Yo Chul-hyung. He'll be fine. He just needs time to cool down.

"What now, JayB-ah?" Dominic said.

I sighed deeply. "We're taking my car. Let's head to SM Entertainment's training building.

"I'm glad that you could make it!" Victoria-noona hugged us as she led us to the room where the rest of the people were.

In one of the dance studios of SM, they gathered some people. My guess is, she's going to have us search for Sulli-noona all over the place.

There were a lot of people here f(x), EXO, Chen, EXID, SNSD and even Red Velvet trainees.

"Thank you all for coming. All of you probably know why you're here. As you know, your Sulli-noona has been missing for 3 days now. We have tried our best to cover up for her as her members but the managers are getting sick and tired of it. So we have until tonight to find her." Victoria-noona announced.

"If you don't mind me asking, why have all of us here? What are your plans?" Kai-sunbaenim from EXO asked.

Victoria-noona then replied, "We go out there and search for her."

The room then began to fill with small whispers and talks.

"That's actually quite a risky move. We can't just go out there. You do know that were celebrities, right? Having us out there is dangerous." Hani-sunbaenim shared her concern.

The rest of the crowd agreed and started voicing out their concerns as well which is getting us nowhere. Every second we waste is a second that Sulli-noona is in danger.

I then raised my hand, "I have a proposal."

Everyone quieted down and turned their focus on me.

"Well, any idea is better than nothing. Let's hear it." Krystal-noona said.

"Let everyone else go home. Alpha will take care of things for you." As soon as I said that, they started complaining and mocking us.

"This is why you let the grown-ups handle this rookies!" I could hear one of the members of EXO say that.

Victoria-noona then asked everyone to stay silent for a while. "JayB-ah… can you please explain further."

"It's exactly what I said. Let everyone else go home. We'll handle it ourselves. Clearly, there's much that's at stake here." When I said that, they didn't bother fighting back.

I then continued to speak. "If we send these idols outside, the people will know what's up since all of you guys come from SM Entertainment. Plus, the smaller the number the lesser we attract attention."

People started to speak in hush tones. I knew they were seeing things the way I did. If we don't do this carefully, it might blow-up in to a bigger scandal.

For me, this isn't right. Sulli-noona didn't disappear in the previous world. She was just exposed that she was on a date with someone and was bashed because of it.

"So what are you saying? Do you mean to say that you will look for them yourselves?" Amber-noona asked.

"Exactly." I replied.

"Who do you think you are?!" a voice rang throughout the room.

"Oh crap… it's him…" Krystal-noona whispered.

It was Lay-sunbaenim.

He just entered the room and heard my proposal.

"I thought I told you not to invite him!" Victoria-noona approached Suho-sunbaenim and whispered yelled.

"I did! I don't know how he found out!" He replied.

We all knew that they Sulli-sunbaenim and Lay-sunbaenim dated before. It was one of the talks of this world.

He started making his way to me. When he was almost there to attack me, Victoria-noona stood in front of me.

"Get out of my way, noona." He gritted his teeth as he said that while locking his gaze at me.

She pushed him back. "Calm down, Lay-ssi. We need their help the most so shut up and sit down!"

"Who the hell are they, huh?! Why the hell do we need them the most?! We don't need them! They're just a bunch of rookies who think this is a joke!" He angrily said while pointing at us.

"You idiot! They are 5 out of the 9 great prodigies!" As soon as she said that the room went quiet. You could probably hear a pin drop.

She just blew it, huh? Without even asking for our consent.

Well Whatever…

"You mean those kids who're called geniuses? Didn't they suddenly lay low a few years ago? You're telling me they are part of them?" Lay-sunbaenim continued to ask a series of questions.

Victoria-noona massaged and her temples and sighed. "They laid low be because they were busy training to be idols."

Lay-sunbaenim's jaw droped. "You mean…"

"Yes... Alpha is the team that's composed of those prodigies." She replied.

Lay-sunbaenim just laughed hysterically.

He started to approach Matt-hyung and wanted to push him. "Who are you supposed to be? The prodigy of- Aggghh!"

Before he could finish speaking, Matt-hyung jabbed his throat before giving him a palm strike. It sent him flying a few feet away before he landed hard.

Krystal-noona tried helping him up but he was still in shock. "He's the fighting prodigy. Also known as the prodigy of war. You idiot!"

I sighed and headed towards the door.

Amber-noona then asked. "Where are you going JayB-ah?

"Home. SM can handle their own problems for all I care. Besides, we're just a bunch of rookies who think this is a joke." I replied.

The moment I said that Lay-sunbaenim quickly stood up and begged. "Wait! Please wait! I'm sorry! I'll leave… just… just find Sulli."

"It's too late for that now." I said as I opened the door.

"You promised!" As soon as Victoria-noona said that I stopped.

"This was your promise, remember?" She added.

Flashback…

"Hey noona! Wait up!" I yelled as I tried to catch up to her.

We just finished shooting the first part of the commercial today and f(x) were already heading to their next schedule.

"What is it, JayB-ah?" She asked. The rest of the members of f(x) also stared at me.

"I'd like to speak to you alone for a moment. Would that be okay?" I asked.

She nodded and asked the rest of the members to wait in their van. The members were teasing us but we all knew that Yo Chul-hyung and Victoria-noona had a thing for each other.

"So, what is it?" She turned to look at me with that smile of hers.

Wow…

No wonder hyung's head over heels for her.

"Noona… it's about something that might happen this year." I told her directly.

She had a confused look on her face. "Something that might happen this year?"

"Yes… listen… It might not make sense right now, but it will. So please remember this day…"

I told her what might happened and to call me if it does happen.

"Remember, noona. When that happens, I promise to help you whatever it takes. Okay?" Even though I told her that, she never looked like she understood any of it.

But she promised to do so anyway.

End of flashback…

"You promised… it didn't make sense then, but it does now. Please…" She was now weeping.

I sighed. What can I do? If a girl practically begs and cries out for help, we have to go rescue them, right?

"Okay. But you owe me a favor for this. Got it?" I told her.

She thanked me profusely and hugged me. We then asked everyone else to leave but we did promise to update them if ever we find Sulli-noona.

After everyone cleared the room, only Alpha and f(x) stood inside the studio.

"So… what now JayB-ah?" Luna-noona asked.

After looking at each of them here, I immediately went in to action. "Here's the plan…."

Zee was in charge of tracking Sulli-noona's whereabouts. He would be tracking down calls, texts, chats and even security cameras from the dorm to their company. We started narrowing it down from the day that she left the dorm and never came back.

According to Victoria-noona, she was really anxious about something for the past week. When she came home, she had bruises that were covered up by her make-up. The group started to get worried, but she assured them that it was nothing.

I knew it. So it's HIM… This confirms my theory. Not everyone is the same in this world from the previous one. They either became worse or better.

If HE's harming Sulli-noona, it was the right call to bring Dominic along.

While Zee was busy locating Sulli-noona's whereabouts. I asked Jeong Do to talk to the CEO and managers and brief them with the situation.

The members didn't agree to it at first because Sulli-noona might end being blamed and she might suffer the consequences. Worst case scenario would be the company deciding to kick her out of f(x) and fire her completely from SM Entertainment.

Of course I already know that. That's why I brought Jeong Do along. He'll be in charge with the talking. When they heard about who Jeong Do was, they immediately began to calm down.

So right now, Jeong Do is up stairs talking with the higher ups while we're still in the studio waiting for Zee for the location.

"Hah! Bingo! There you are!" we all rushed towards Zee the moment he said that.

"Where to?" I asked.

Zee then chuckled. "huh… how unoriginal… She's in an abandoned amusement park in northeastern Seoul. It's called…"

"Yongma Land…" We all turned to Luna-sunbaenim who said that.

THAT Yongma Land?

Oh great…

"She wouldn't go to that place alone for 3 days." Krystal-noona said.

We all nodded in agreement.

I then voiced out my conclusion. "She must have been kidnapped."

Their faces turned pale when they heard that. She has been with the kidnappers for 3 days now and in an abandoned theme park at that.

"Why do the bad guys always choose the creepiest places?" Zee complained.

"What are we waiting for? Let's call the police!" Luna-noona suggested.

I then stopped her from dialing her phone. "Bad idea… I feel like there's more to this than meets the eye. Don't call the police. They'll attract attention when they get there. Also, we don't want the police to find out about this one yet. We'll wait first for Jeong Do."

"Wait?! Why do we have to wait even more?! What if…" Luna-noona didn't dare think of the worst possible outcome.

"Calm down, noona. She's definitely fine. Besides, if this was a kidnapping, why aren't there any calls from the kidnappers for their ransom money?" I asked.

They all began to contemplate on that question too.

"Does that mean that there's a mole in the higher ups that's preventing this from spreading out?" Matt-hyung asked.

I nodded. "That's right."

Amber-noona then cracked her knuckles. "When I find that son of a-"

Suddenly my phone rings.

"Speaking of the devil." I said as I saw who it was.

I then answered and placed it on loud speaker. "What's the situation?"

"I finally made them stay quiet. But you won't believe what I just found out." Jeong Do reported.

"It's the manager and he's part of the kidnapping." I answered

"Yes. Wait… how did you know? Nevermind. Anyway, the CEO already called the police to come here and take this guy away. I already told them that we'll handle Sulli-noona's extraction. We're given the go signal." He replied.

As soon as I ended the call, we all stood up.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" Amber-noona was the first one to react to the good news.

"What do you guys think you're doing?" Dom asked.

The girls were all confused with the question.

Victoria-noona answered the question. "Isn't it obvious? We're heading there with you guys."

"Who said you could come?" Matt-hyung asked.

"We're not asking your permission." Krystal-noona angrily replied.

"We're not suggesting either." Dominic rebutted.

The atmosphere was getting intense.

I sighed. "Victoria-noona. Didn't I promise you that I'd help?"

She turned to look at me. "Yes… and you did. That's wh-"

"That's why we're helping you until the end. We're rookies. And if anything happens to us, it would be okay. But you guys are long time runners in the industry. We can't risk exposing the truth to the public. It'll destroy you. Now just listen to us and stay here. We promise to get Sulli-noona back safely." I said before pausing a while to let them digest that.

They all turned away from embarrassment. I understand how they felt. If one of my members would get kidnapped, I'd move heaven and earth just to get them back. But I won't let anger cloud my judgement.

"Besides, you have a job to do here." They all turned to me in confusion.

"What's that?" Amber-noona asked.

I then smirked evilly. "Kick that traitor-of-a-manager's butt if he tries to escape."

"Was it really okay to leave Jeong Do back there?" Matt-hyung asked.

We were now heading to the abandoned theme park. It was just Matt-hyung, Zee, Dominic and me inside the car. After the heated argument with the f(x) members, they obediently agreed to stay and watch over the manager.

"He's going to be fine, hyung. In case something else comes up, he'll be our eyes and ears." I replied.

"And our voice too." Dominic added.

A beeping sounded from Zee's laptop. "Heads up. We're almost there."

As soon as we arrived. We immediately killed the engine to avoid attracting the guards.

"There… she's inside the hall of mirrors." Zee said.

"Ugh… I hate those places." Matt-hyung said.

"Who doesn't?" Dominic added.

We all just chuckled.

They all turned to look at me, waiting for some instructions. Guess we're serious now…

"Here's the plan…"

"Hyung? Can you hear me?" Zee asked.

"Loud and clear." Matt-hyung replied.

He entered the theme park as sneakily as possible. We were communicating with him from the car through his in-ear communications.

He was almost at the hall of mirrors. The rest of us were in the car. I'm in charge of getting us out. Zee was stuck with his laptop to monitor Matt-hyung's progress. Dom was at the back seat preparing his kit just in case something did go wrong.

"Hyung, wait. There are two guys that are heading your way." Zee warned.

"Copy" was all we heard before we heard bones breaking on the other end of the communications.

On Zee's screen, we saw Matt-hyung slamming one of the guards' head on the ground rendering him unconscious. The other one wasn't so lucky. He tried to pull out his gun, but Matt-hyung jabbed that guy's throat before slamming him at a nearby wall.

"Where to, Zee-ah?" Matt-hyung asked.

"Remind me not to mess with hyung ever again." He whispered which made us chuckle.

Matt-hyung probably didn't hear anything as he responded with, "What was that?"

"Nothing, hyung. Go straight and you'll see a carousel. Behind that is the hall of mirrors. Don't go through the front. Look for a way inside by going around it." Zee avoided the topic by giving him directions.

Matt-hyung did exactly what Zee told him to do. Soon he found an entrance inside.

"Okay. I see multiple guards guarding the inside. She's probably inside the last door of the hallway since there are no cameras inside that door." Zee guided him.

Matt-hyung acknowledged. "Okay, heading there now."

"Wait, hyung. There are too many of them. They have guns and all. They might not be able hurt you but they might use Sulli-noona as a hostage." Zee warned.

"So what do I need to do?" He asked.

We all tried to formulate a plan to rescue Sulli-noona safely.

Just then, Zee remembered something. "Hyung! Can you still do that bat-thingy?"

"You mean me knowing where to go and hitting people even when my eyes are closed? Yeah? What about it?" He replied.

"Is five seconds enough to prepare you for it?" Zee asked again.

"More than enough." Matt-hyung answered.

"Good. Then it's perfect." Zee smirked.

"Are you doing what I think you're doing?" I could see that Matt-hyung was closing his eyes already.

Zee just scoffed. "That's what I'm doing."

"How many?" Matt-hyung asked.

"14." Zee replied calmly.

I could hear Matt-hyung chuckle softly. "Piece of cake."

Zee shook his head. "Cutting the lights in 3… 2… 1…"

The moment Zee cut off the lights and Matt-hyung entered the place, we could hear a lot of groaning, crashing, and breaking sounds and even guns firing.

After 10 seconds passed by, it suddenly became quiet.

"The power's back on hyung." Zee announced.

We didn't hear any response.

"Hyung? Are you there?" Zee tried again.

Still no response.

We waited for a few more seconds and there was still no response.

Zee was growing impatient. "Hyung? Are you there? Answer me if you hear me!"

Seconds turned to minutes.

"Hyung…" Zee was now getting anxious.

"Screw it! I'm going there to check!" I tried to get out of the car and head straight to where we last heard of Matt-hyung, but Zee's hand stopped me from going out.

"Hyung! Wait! Let's just wait and see. Matt-hyung won't easily be defeated. You know that!" Zee said.

I still can't shake the thought of him getting hurt still. "But what if-"

"Kim Jinbo!" Dom yelled out of nowhere.

I turned to look at him and he gave me a glare.

"Don't you trust him?" that question hit me like a shockwave.

I do trust him but the circumstance is different. But he is still the fighting prodigy. He won't go down that easily.

I gave Dominic a nod and I calmed down.

Just when I had let go of the door handle, a person bumped on to Zee's window.

"Matt-hyung!" He yelled in surprise.

He was knocking wildly at the window telling me to unlock the door.

I immediately unlocked the door, and he opened the back seat. He placed something that he was carrying in the back seat first before he jumped in.

"DRIVE!" Matt-hyung yelled.

As soon as he said that, I immediately started the engine and stepped on the gas.

"What the hell happened there? And why did you bring a sack bag?" Dominic asked.

Matt-hyung didn't answer at first because he was ripping out his shirt and started tying the cloth of his torn shirt on a wound on his left arm.

Zee saw it and he exclaimed, "Did you just get shot?"

"Shush!" Matt-hyung said as he groaned in pain when Dominic poured something on his wound.

Matt-hyung then grabbed Dominic to stop him from doing so.

"What are you doing?! We need to treat you!" Dominic complained.

"No! Don't worry about me. Start treating her first." Matt-hyung replied.

Dominic then peeked inside the sack cloth and saw a woman who was barely recognizable. She had plenty of wounds and bruises as if she was battered.

"Who's she?" Dominic asked.

"Sulli… noona…" Matt-hyung was barely conscious now.

As soon as Matt-hyung said that, he removed the sack cloth and started taking her pulse.

"She… wasn't breathing when I get there… but she still has a weak pulse…" Matt-hyung was passing out.

"That's good enough for me. Zee, keep your hyung awake no matter what. JayB, keep it steady. I'm going to operate." Dominic smiled.

He started treating Sulli-noona's wounds like it was nothing. It was definitely a good idea to bring Dominic just in case. As long as the heart still beats, Dominic can still save that person.

"Hyung, hang in there. Dominic-hyung is almost done with Sulli-noona." Zee was tapping lightly on Matt-hyung's cheeks to keep him awake.

"Don't worry, Zee. I've been through a lot of worst case scenarios before. This is practically nothing." Matt-hyung lightly chuckled.

"Yeah, and in each one of them I had to pull you out of it. Stop making me worry about you for crying out loud." Dominic said as he was stitching the last wound from Sulli-noona's stomach.

He started bandaging the wounds. Sulli-noona was now sitting up straight to have her relax.

"Treat my wounds later. We have to get her to safety first." Matt-hyung said.

"Where should we go? We can't be seen by people or the media like this." Zee asked.

Dominic then called someone on his phone, "Yes. I'm heading there… Prepare 2 VVIP wards. Make sure that we're far away from the media's eyes. Bring in your most trusted doctors and nurses. No one passes through the VVIP hall without my consent. I'll be there in 10 minutes."

I smiled at him over the rear view mirror. "Where to, Dom?"

"Oh Polymedic Hospital. And step on it." Dom said.

"Sulli-ah! Thank God!" The f(x) members approached Sulli-noona who was now awake and well because of Dominic. This guy is really a magician. The stitches, bruises and wounds were gone as if it wasn't there in the first place.

Seiji-hyung also helped by developing a drug that can restore the damage cells in the skin. Alpha that time was very busy because of the schedules and helping out f(x).

After that night, we had an earful of scolding from our managers and from PD-nim. But PD-nim couldn't really blame us. We've already done this countless of times before. So he still couldn't help but gave in. He just couldn't take in the thought of his nephews being in harm's way.

We are after all his nephews first before his contracted artists.

Sulli-noona was already here for almost a week now.

"Guys… I'm sorry." Sulli-noona started crying.

The rest of the members hugged her and comforted her. We all continued our schedules and have been telling the fans, the people and the media that Matt-hyung and Sulli-noona were sick and would need time to recuperate.

We didn't give any more details than that.

After that night, we also learned a lot of things. The guy who kidnapped Sulli-noona is a guy named Cho Jae-ho also known as Choiza. He's a leader of one of the most notorious syndicates in the world. Oh Jeong Do and Matt Nakrop-hyung have been tracking him for years now.

He always was always able to escape.

"I swear… We'll catch him one day and put him to prison for the rest of his life." Matt-hyung clutched his fist. He blamed himself for not being able to catch the guy in the first place and he felt really guilty.

But Sulli-noona has been affirming him that she has no hatred towards Matt-hyung. She even felt thankful towards him. She was half-awake when Matt-hyung tried to rescue her.

According to the police investigation, the room that Sulli-noona was being held at had a communication jamming device. That's why we couldn't communicate with Matt-hyung.

Sulli-noona told us that she saw Matt-hyung when the lights went back on. Matt-hyung rushed towards her and wasn't careful. He tripped a wire and was nearly blown up.

Matt-hyung was able to escape by a hair but still had some bruises and wounds from the debris. He was also shot by Choiza while he was still disoriented. But Matt-hyung sensed someone's presence and immediately evaded the bullet.

If he was a millisecond too late, the bullet would have hit his chest instead of his arm and the bullet would have gone through his heart. That was how lucky he was.

After telling us what happened, all of us became vigilant. We just can't trust anybody. Even our own managers. But we still didn't want to move in fear so we decided to look past this and move on.

Still, I can't believe that Choiza wasn't a Hip Hop artist in this world but a leader of a crime syndicate.

This solidifies my theory. In this world, people either became worse or better.

"I hope you'll get better soon, noona." Woo said.

"Thank you, Jiwoo-ah. You're still cute as ever though. Are you sure you don't have a girlfriend yet?" Sulli-noona tried to tease Woo.

Woo blushed a little. "Well, this proves that you're getting better. You still tease me a lot."

Everyone laughed but Sulli-noona still went on. "I'm serious. If you don't have a girlfriend why not try asking your Krystal-noona out?"

"UNNIE!" Krystal-noona cried out.

She covered her face in embarrassment as everyone laughed. The conversation went on for a few more hours.

"I still remember that Zee accidentally pushed the set's backdrop which halted the shoot for a day." We all laughed at Amber-noona's remark.

"Hey! We promised to never speak of that day again!" Zee complained.

"Well I don't mind. I was happy that we got the day off because of that one." Luna-noona said happily.

"Speak for yourself. I had to get an earful from the producer." We all laugh at Zee's complaining.

Our manager entered the room and approached me. "JayB-ah, you need to go."

"Already? Are you the only one who has a schedule?" Victoria-noona asked.

"Uh… yeah. So I have to go." I replied.

She noticed that I got a bit flustered.

"Ohoh! It's definitely a girl. Yup. I'm sure of it." Sulli-noona teased.

I blushed at her remark. "Noona!"

"See? He's blushing!" She continued.

They were asking so many questions and were really persistent at it.

"AAAH! I can't take it anymore! I'm heading out!" They all laughed at me when I stormed out of the room all flustered.

I still heard what Krystal-noona said before I closed the door. "Whoever she is, she's very lucky."

AN: I really enjoyed writing this one. It's probably the most fun I had since… well… since I've written this story. I dedicate this Chapter to Choi Jin-ri better known as Sulli of f(x). She has been a great part of the K-Pop industry and will be missed. She didn't deserve to be treated that way. Although she was a K-Pop idol, she also was a human being. She deserved to love who she wanted to love. She deserved to be the person she wanted to be. You know what she didn't deserve? To be treated like some doll on display. That people get to decide what she does or wear, who she goes out with and even how she acts. My heart goes out to her. To Sulli… one of the greatest legends in K-Pop history… may she rest in peace.
