9 Chapter 09

The music was as loud as thunder; it made the cutlery on the tabletops rattle. Neon lights flashed everywhere like police sirens, but much more colourful. And in the spotlight, there was a man, drinking the amber coloured liquid.

"Drink! Drink! Drink!" Others were cheering on him; the cheering sound itself was far louder than the music.

Congratulations! Alcohol Resistance is now Lvl 2.

Congratulations! Poison Resistance is now Lvl 2.

Congratulations! Alcohol Resistance is now Lvl 4.

Congratulations! Iron Stomach is now Lvl 2.

"Wooow!!" Fuk shouted along with the crowd. He didn't care what others think about this, but to drink a whole gallon of beer was one of his amazing achievements in his life.

From his behind, his friends were hugging him with a face full of excitement. How could they not? This was the popular challenge on their college, and now after 25 years since the challenge had been made, their friend actually beat it.

Though... from among of these liveliness, one girl, in particular, was looking at them, sometimes yawning while she was reading a book about SDS PAGE and something something.

On the other hand, Fuk's group had become the king of the party, people were gathering with Fuk's group and it didn't take long for some to talk about Saiko.

"...What's up with that girl?" Said passerby A.

"Yes, I know right, seeing her reading that thick book really kill my mood." Said passerby B.

The volume on their voice clearly showed they didn't even try to hide it, if only...

"What? She's with us, get any problem with that?" Said Lil Ty.

If only Lil Ty wasn't the kind of guy that would let someone talking something bad about his friend, not like he had befriended Saiko, he just the kind of guy that followed the principle 'The friend of my friend is also my friend.'

While Lil Ty was confronting those two though, Fuk actually was agreed with them.

"But seriously, this is the first time I see someone spending their time reading a book at a party." Said Junior.

"Ah~ actually, tomorrow she has a job interview or something like that." Said Methany.

"...Then why is she here?" Fuk replied while looking at her.

"Erm~ I kinda force her to come... but! Don't blame me! Since the first time she joins our house, she rarely leaves, forget about going out! actually, she even rarely talks with us. So~ I think it might be better to actually take her in this kind of activity." Said Methany, scratching her head.

"....You're the worst." Said Fuk.

But she wasn't the only one that didn't talk.

Just as Saiko was reading her book, she caught the attention of a certain group.

PARTY PEOPLE! SILVER BROTHERHOOD! (Temporary name.)

As those flashy guys had been sitting on the same safe the whole time, shivering as their eyes were staring at the ladies.

The time right now was 10.00 PM, SILBRO (Abbreviated.) had been in that spot, neither hitting on a girl or even taking a toilet break. Those were the fruits of their effort.

But! their eyes hadn't lost their gleam. Like a hyena staring at the corpse, they looked at the girls Should I go... or should I not. They didn't go, like hyena they have no balls.

Though.. after they had spent an eternity on that sofa, they all recognized without saying any word. That the goddess in this party was the half shaved brown haired girl. Methany.

Once Methany entered their field of vision, something in SILBRO's chest just clicked, but since she was way out of their league, they didn't even try to hit on her.

But there was another girl that piqued their interest, a girl that was already dead drunk. ... She was dead drunk so they didn't do anything, while in truth they were just looking for any reason to not hit on anyone.

And the last girl they interested in was the long black haired, silently reading her book with no one else around her. A plain face without any makeup and yet giving the vibe of natural beauty, with her thinly figure, and her bored face giving them hope. Don't we have a chance with her? that was what they thought.

"Okay, then I'll go." Said SILBRO number 1.

"Eh? Then I'll go too." Said SILBRO number 2.

"No fair, I wanna go too." Said SILBRO number 3.

"No! Me! Me!" Said SILBRO number 4.

"Then... I'll..." As SILBRO number 5 raising his hands.

"Then please go ahead."Said SILBRO number 1 to 4, completely tricking SILBRO number 5.

Became the sacrificial lamb, SILBRO number 5 could only frown, then after gathering his willpower, SILBRO number 5 stood, as SILBRO number 5 walking to Saiko, all of the other SILBRO were praying for his luck.

"Hello, there~" Said the SILBRO number 5 as he took his sunglasses off, giving her his brilliant smile and showing his tiny eyes.

Saiko continued reading her book, completely ignored SILBRO number 5 attempt.

But SILBRO number 5 had another trick, from the article he read on the internet that was called 'Brok's Guide to Pick A Girl edition 5.5e.' The first rule was to praise the other party and didn't forget to act confident and talked properly. "Your snow coloured skin looks so beautiful, is this your first time attending a party?"

It wasn't very effective! as Saiko kept reading her book.

If the lady ignored you, then skipped to the third rule and said "This must be a miracle! for me to see such a beauty in this place."

But, SILBRO number 5 didn't realize that Fuk and the rest of his gang were watching him. "Ho~ That guy doesn't know how to give up eh." Said Junior, somehow admiring SILBRO number 5 persistence.

"...If it is me, I will walk away after she ignores me." Replied Fuk.

"But Saiko is really good huh, completely ignoring him like that. Ah! where is Lil Ty?" Said Methany.

As Lil Ty still lecturing the other two.

Still ignored, the SILBRO number 5 used the last rule, the highest levelled trick it was called 'A flowing 'double bind' into a 'door in the face' for the example, the SILBRO number 5 would show the trick. "Say wanna exchange phone numbers? or Facebook info? Oh~ that is too much? Then Instagram is okay too."

"....." Said Saiko as she kept reading her book.

It's not workinggggg! She keeps ignoring me! Thought SILBRO number 5.

Finally became too impatient, SILBRO number 5 was breaking the rule by grabbing Saiko's hand. "H-hey, Wait! A B-Boyfriend?! Do you have one?! A Boyfriend?!"

"Yo Fuk, isn't the situation becomes too hot?" Said Junior, grabbing Fuk's shirt and shaking him.

"Why? ah~ Because Junior is undependable, Lil Ty hasn't come back and I am a woman." Said Methany.

In which Junior replied with a nod. "Yup! I'm undependable! Go over there and shows some kung fu move!" Said Junior.

Though while those three were busy with their own business, the others SILBRO couldn't let this chance slip away, they walked toward the number 5 and pretending they had just met. "Hey, isn't that number 5? is that your girlfriend?" Said SILBRO number 1.

"....Can you take off your filthy hand?" Saiko, finally opened her mouth and the first sentence that came out was an insult.

Scratching his head, Fuk walked toward the gang. "There you are, what are you doing reading that book alone? Let's go back everyone is waiting." Said Fuk, then the SILBRO members were glaring at him.

"Wh-who are you?! Her boyfriend?!" Shouted SILBRO number 2.

"You're not, are you?!" Shouted SILBRO number 3.

"I-If you're not her boyfriend, then keep your mouth shut!" Shouted SILBRO number 4.

"...I am her boyfriend, so can you let her go?" Answered Fuk, as he gripped the SILBRO number 5 hands, and along with this notifications came in.

"I-is he really your boyfriend?" Said SILBRO number 5 as his body started to tremble.

Knowing what Fuk meant, Saiko replied with a small nod.

"R..really?" Said SILBRO number 5.

So persistent... Yuu thought as he tightening his grip, forcing the number 5 to let Saiko arms go.

But behind number 5 back, Lil Ty came to see what was going on and already crackling his finger, with frowning eyebrows and eyes glaring. As the result, all of the SILBRO were fleeing while shouting "We're sorry!!!"

"O..oh.. thanks Lil Ty, you really save-" Before Fuk was able to finish his words, Lil Ty already opening his mouth.

"W-w-w-what is going on?! Suddenly she is your girlfriend?! What is the trick?! How do you do that, dude?!" Shouted Lil Ty, as the 1,9 meters giant grabbed his collar and lifted him.
