7 Chapter 7: Your Warmth

It has been 2 days since the incident, what Lord Hiuh warned me came to reality. Thankfully, I came back to check King Zess or something more worst will happen. Those nights were bright clear moon shining in the pitch dark clouds high in the sky is a definite indication of an ominous event to His Majesty s' life. Your Highness, you cruel man. Rain still pours heavily on the third day. The Royal Physician pays another visit. As the doctor does treatment to King Zess, I was patiently waiting outside of the room clenching both of my hands tightly in hopes to hear a positive news but only to find out that my beloved master is still on its sickbed showing no signs of improvement.

The shivers from the cold rain days ago turned to a high fever. There where also episodes of nightmares, He keeps uttering these words:

" It's cold...It's dark "

But it's probably from the lingering hatred and betrayal flashing back of his vulnerable state. He may hate this but the loneliness from missing him overflowed my feelings.

Please do forgive this humble aide holding your cold hand tightly, for there is nothing that this aide of yours prayed but your good health. Honestly, I cannot count the times I cried during difficult times of my life but seeing the man so dear to me suffering while those times I was not by his side when he needs me the most is heartbreaking.

"You know I'd rather had you scold me than seeing you all silent because you are ill "

I deeply pray that may your heart and health heals.

Suddenly the grip became tight. Mary being surprised was dragged by the half asleep Zess to his bed. He slowly caresses the maidens hair Much to her embarrassment. She insists to break free from the unconscious kings grip but only to be held tighter and moved closer by his side.

The sudden development makes her heart race. She felt his hot breath in her ear. His body was shivering and hot. Mary hugged back.

I know you" ll scold me for this, but please be well soon.

The gap of loneliness felt by Mary is getting filled. It was all just a hug but was a big deal after all those years that she longs for the person she admires ever since she was young.

Little did Mary know that she fell asleep. She was inside a dream. In a dark deep cold place, were beautiful white snow roses. But for every step was a thorny path. She saw Zess laying in the center of those roses. Mary ran without second thought despite the painful path.

It's cold.....dark and painful. I cant believe you are in a place this. But I'm coming for you. Mary screams from pain as the thorns from those beautiful snow roses starting to crawl slowly on her. Marys' feet were bloody and ruined. But she was determined enough to push through and continued to run leaving red traces on the beautiful white.

The most beautiful flower should stand tall, and the radiant sun should rise high. It's time for this nightmare of yours to end. I am here for you....so rise and shine!

The cold dark space, became a warm refreshing place then suddenly a radiant light flashes.

Lord Hiuh, along with the royal physician Whom is patiently waiting at his side brims a warm smile. Seeing his unconscious cousin came to senses.

Finally, after a week in a comma state. The King of the Sun Kingdom woke up from the curse like slumber.

The Kingdom rejoiced and sent well messages. in a form of flowers and letters to their King.
