Dream

"No Mom!" Sarael shouted in her dreams. It was the same dream of her parents dying in front of her. She was only eight years old when she lost her family.

Scared of the dream she got up, she didn't even when she started to cry. Whenever she had that dream she always cried. It was a memory she could never erase. Memories of her parents dying in front that small kid still showed up. When she closed her eyes her past memories haunt them. Tears flowed down as she still remembered about the day.

It was not any other day but her birthday. She was opening her presents when some people came fully dressed in black. As soon as they entered the start to look for something. Her parents tried to stop them but they ignored them. When her mother tried to stop them from going to their bedroom, they pushed her mother to the floor. Seeing her hurt she started crying, her mother consoled her and asked her to go and call someone. She didn't want to but she knew that it was better to listen to her mother now. She ran to their neighbors house to call for help. And when they came back it was too late.

Their house is in the midst of fire. She could still hear her parents wailing for help. Even thinking about it makes her shiver. At last only the ashes of their house were left behind. All those memories she had with her parents were burned together with them.

"Sarael, you woke up?" Her adopted mother asked from outside. She woke up on hearing her. She didn't even know when it was morning. Because of crying all her eyes were red and puffy. After her parents death everyone started to hate her. Some girls of her school bullied her often by telling her that she killed her parents. She was useless. She even started to feel that because her parents died until she was adopted by her family.

They loved her like her kid and because of them she started to get happy. The only thing that happened good with her after her parents death was her new family. They helped her, supported her in every way. Because of them she can't have a normal childhood. Thinking about them makes her less hurten.

She got up from the bed and opened the door. Her mother was standing in front of the door. Sarael went and hugged her tightly. She really feels peace whenever she hugs her mother. She felt as if she had someone to lay on no matter what happens. She felt peaceful.

"What's with you today?" Her mother asked, feeling that something was wrong with her. She looked at her and shook her head and said it was nothing.

Her mother was wrong. She must have dreamed about her parents again. She feels bad for her. She was just eight years old when that happened. Even an adult can be hurt from it and she was only a kid who still wanted her mother. Sometimes she really thinks if there was God for real. If he was then why can't he see her child's pain. Was he really so stone hearted?

Sarael shook her mother's hand seeing that she was thinking about something. Her mother woke up from the thoughts. She looked at Sarael's eyes; they were all red and puffy. She felt pity for her.

"Mom, what are you thinking?" Sarael asked her, seeing her again lost in her thoughts. Her mother shook her head and took her for breakfast.

On the dining table, her father and her older brother had already started eating. Her father was busy reading the newspaper whereas her brother was reading his book. Her brother was an all rounder. He was good with everything. She will lose count if she counts how many girls have proposed to him. To court him some even become friends with the idea that her brother will look at them differently. But he never did, he was always busy with his work. Whereas her, she was not good with sports or else except for studying. She was a nerd who only studies. Her brother tries to get her interested in sports and other things but she never liked those. She only liked to study. Most of her time she studies, except her books as her friend she never had one. It was not like she wanted one, she always liked alone. She never liked talking to others much.

Her brother saw her sitting down. He directly came to the point. He asked her to be ready after school so they could go play tennis. She agreed to her brother's word but in actual she don't even wants go out.
