3 The Kingdom of Bedrock
They finally see the kingdom come in view well the giant natural wall of bedrock that protects the kingdom. Lilianna has been casually talking to the three newcomers about their world. Then she says "I'm sorry." "For what?" after Kayla asked she started thinking about it then it hit her. Her eyes turn glossy and tears form in the corners. She wraps her arms around Aaron even tighter and buries her face in his back. Aaron and griff also think about who they lost. Aaron thinks to himself "sorry dad I broke my promise." He then wonders what if his god slayer magic had hit would he have killed the Gatekeeper." His heart twists, yes Lilianna got them out of a deadly situation but she cost them the lives of their loved ones. That one question keeps playing in Aaron's head "WHAT IF".
Aaron finally breaks from his thoughts and realize they made it to the gates of bedrock. Lilianna and Sable are talking to the guards. After a little bit of time sable and his knights enter the city. Lilianna walks to Aaron's group.
"The only thing you have to do to enter is fill out some paperwork." She says with a smile.
After making their way in the guard station they met the head of public safety. Lilianna introduces him "this is sir Marth Bedrock the third heir to the throne." "It's nice to meet you sir." Kayla says to the man in the gawdy outfit.
He seems to not be listening to her and says "I have now time to waste on formalities with pesents no follow me." They seem shocked by his words. Aaron and griff look at one another Kayla turns around and can visibly see a toxic aura around them she gives them a look and they stop. They follow Marth he hands them Some papers to fill out after that he pulls out a crystal orb. "Now pesents one at a time place your hands on this and infuse it with magic. Kayla does it first a beam of light shoots out. Marth and Lilianna are surprised they've never seen that happen before. Next is Griff he places his paw on it the second he sends magic to it beams of light shoot out. Last is Aaron when he placed his hand on the orb a chill went down his spine. When he uses his magic the orb cracks and shatters in pieces. Marth gulps and says you can enter the city.
Now there walking through the city streets they see bustling shops and a lot of people in the streets. "Is there a place around here where we can get some different clothing I feel like we stand out a little." Aaron says. "What about our money?" Kayla asks Aaron
"I mean gold is gold right??" He looks at Lilianna. "Oh yes gold is very valuable here though I doubt many shops here can make change for gold." She says. "Can you tell me about the economy here?" Aaron asks. "Well first off is copper 100 copper is 1 silver and 50 silver is 1 gold and 20 gold is 1 platinum." Lilianna explains. "There's also something more valuable it's called cores you never know when you'll find one from a monster some are worth more but even a cheap one will still be worth a couple platinum pieces." "i see." Aaron says. After looking through multiple clothing shops they finally come to the shop known as Everlast. Griff waits outside while Aaron Kayla and Lilianna go in.
As they enter a bell rings. "Ahh welcome to Everlast the finest shop in the kingdom." The person behind the counter says. "Hello we need some quality clothes." Aaron says. "Ha ha well your in the right place follow me." The man leads them over to an area. He says "this robe suits you nicely." Pointing to Aaron. The robe he pointed out is a black robe with a hood. "Its kinda edgy" Kayla remarks. "Yeah it is… do you have it in any other colors?" Aaron asks. "Well we have a dark purple…." "Ill take it." Aaron interrupts the shop keep. He tries it on and it fits perfectly. Next was Kayla she seemed to have a hard time picking something Lilianna is trying to help. After about 20 minutes goes by Kayla finally settles on a red robe. "Now that'll be 9 gold" the shop keep says. This price shocks Lilianna "9 gold??" She asks. "That's right these robes are of the highest quality and enchanted with magic." "Uh huh.." Lilianna isn't buying it for a second. However aaron doesn't seem to care and tosses 9 gold the man's way."thanks for the business." He says delightly.
Dawning their new robes they leave the shop. "That took a while." Griff remarked. "Well you know how Kayla is." Aaron says. "it's getting late we should start heading towards the castle for dinner." Lilianna says to them.
"Right" the three reply.
After a hefty walk they arrive. Their met with the castle knights. After Lilianna tells them the situation. They pass without any problems. Once inside another knight Tells them dinner will be served in an hour and he escorts the three to their room along with Lilianna tagging along still. Now the three are finally alone in their room. They feel an uncomfortable feeling like their being watched. "I ask the knowledgeable Lightcanna magic sense." After a minute kayla says "they have a scribe in this room." After she says that Aaron casts a spell. "Invoke Shatter." With that key word aaron shatters the scribe magic. "Why would they cast a scribe on us?" Griff asks. "We are strangers to their world I guess there just being cautious." Aaron says. "Speaking of that what are we going to do?" Kayla asks. "Bout what?" Asks aaron. "I mean about helping them defeat whatever it is they need help with." Kayla says. "Lilianna has been good to us but the knights and that prince guy Marth has been rude to us." Griff says. "That's true but that's how nobles act like in our world…" as aaron says our world it brings down the atmosphere of the room. "Even if we defeat what they want can we even kill the gatekeeper." Aaron says. "I don't want to think about what that monster has done to our home." Kayla says with a hint of tears. "We failed our world now they want us to save theirs even if we save them from their current situation what if the gatekeeper appears." Griff says. Kayla suddenly puts her hand to her head. "Ahh my head." "What's wrong?" Aaron asks. "I don't know my head started hurting." Kayla replies. "Mine too" Griff says. Then there's a knock on their door. It's a knight "dinner is ready." They follow the knight to the dinning hall however there's only three places prepared. "Uh are we the only ones eating?" Aaron asks the knight. The knight nods his head. "After you eat the king would like an audience with you. So please enjoy." The knight walks away. In front of them is a feast of food from prime beef to pork and chicken with a ton of side dishes. After they chow down their food the three have a casual conversation. But right in the middle of it Kayla and Griff pass out. "kayla, Griff are you okay. Aaron rushes over to them.
