3 Are You Coming Home?

Just like now, Li Ruyan hadn't asked him who he was meeting and gave her absolute trust. She trusted that he was doing his best at work and didn't need distractions at the moment so she would be the virtuous girlfriend, and would wait until he was done before pulling him into a date and presenting him the cake that she had worked hard to make.

Of course, Li Ruyan also expected that he would love the gift she picked for him.

A few more minutes and pretty soon, the dishes she had ordered would arrive.

Li Ruyan's eyes once again strayed towards the stairs.

Her eyes lit up when she saw the familiar silhouette of her boyfriend.

Her Min Yue still looked as handsome as ever in his business suit. His gaze was sharp and his fine jawline made him look exquisite. He was also tall and had broad shoulders, hair as dark as the abyss, and soft lips that were often pressed firmly into a thin line.

PA Ren had trailed after him, who was also wearing a business suit and carrying a suitcase that no doubt contained a lot of important documents about their company. He nudged his glasses back in place when it had slid down and he wiped his sweat using a handkerchief before folding it back to his pockets.

Min Yue gave PA Ren a glance, looking somewhat unhappy.

Li Ruyan giggled when she saw this and she was just about to call out to him when a woman in red and another tall man in his fifties went down the stairs.

Min Yue spoke for a few seconds with the other businessman before nodding as if they were both in agreement with the deal they made. Li Ruyan looked on with interest and it was just in time for the waiter to arrive, bringing the expensive white wine to her table.

The waiter poured her a glass and she picked it up, patiently watching until her Min Yue had finished his deal.

She was just about to take a sip of the wine when the woman in red threw herself at Min Yue and stamped a kiss on her man's cheek.

Li Ruyan froze.

Min Yue's face was still the same as ever. He still looked unhappy but he did not push the woman away and he did not shout at the woman in red to get lost. Li Ruyan's hand that was holding the glass of wine trembled as she watched her boyfriend placed an arm on the woman's waist.

The woman chattered infront of Min Yue who looked to be listening quite patiently. PA Ren had also remained silent and did not even stop his boss from flirting with the woman despite him knowing that Min Yue was in a relationship with Li Ruyan.

Li Ruyan sat still as she watched this scene play out as though she was some spectator watching a movie.

The woman went to stamp another kiss on Min Yue's other cheek, giggling flirtatiously while batting her dark eyelashes. Min Yue did not avoid it or move away. He seemed to have accepted this.

Li Ruyan's smile finally disappeared and the glass on her hand fell to the floor, shattering. The previous wine that cost thousands of dollars also splashed on the expensive carpet and onto her heels.

The sound had alerted the people around her and had startled the waiter that was serving her wine.

PA Ren was the first to glance in her direction and his eyes widened comically with surprise before it morphed into something else. He appeared to have become nervous and frightened when she met his gaze that he nearly lost his grip on the suitcase he was holding.

While the waiter was apologizing to her for spilling the drink even though it was her fault, Li Ruyan didn't seem to hear him. In fact, she had turned deaf towards her surrounding as she focused solely on Min Yue and to the woman in red who was practically clinging to her man and boyfriend like some kind of leech.

The tall businessman paused and also glanced her way. Li Ruyan blinked at him as they stared at each other for a few seconds before her gaze landed on Min Yue once again.

It was just in time for him to turn and glance at her way. Their eyes met.

Min Yue was visibly surprised to see her and he unconsciously went to check his phone. He appeared to be checking it for her messages and when his eyes became profound, Li Ruyan knew that he had finally read the messages she sent to him.

Heh.

Li Ruyan stood up slowly.

Everyone's gazes had fallen on her due to the wine that she had spilled. If it were any ordinary wine, they would have ignored her but earlier, they heard her order one of the most expensive wines in the country that was worth thousands of dollars.

This move had attracted the attention of many. Anyone who managed to get their hands on such an expensive wine wouldn't have such a simple identity which was why their gazes were on her, waiting, expecting, and watching, prepared to make any judgments.

At the moment, Li Ruyan couldn't give a care.

She walked towards Min Yue unhurriedly, her gait proud and confident while deep inside, she was suffering from anxiety as her mind concocted a lot of images that were both undesirable and unpleasant.

The clicking noise of her heels could be heard in the restaurant as everyone watched her. She stopped a meter away from Min Yue with a calm and dignified look on her face.

Min Yue didn't react when she was near. In fact, he was acting as if she was a stranger that she had only just met even though he had shown a trace of surprise when he saw her.

Li Ruyan smiled.

"Min Yue, are you coming home with me?" She said in a soft voice, the tone she often used when talking to him.

Everyone's gaze had lit up, listening to the sweet and soft-sounding voice that seemed music to their ears. It was as though hearing this kind of angelic voice made them feel nostalgic, as though they were listening to a fairy's song.

The woman in red raised a brow at Li Ruyan as she looked her up and down with obvious judgment in her eyes. Meanwhile, PA Ren was wiping his forehead from sweat, trying to act invisible and avoiding Li Ruyan's gaze.

Min Yue was very quiet at first. Li Ruyan was in no hurry to hear his answer as she looked at him with patience.

After a while, he finally spoke.

"What are you doing here?"
