1 1. Leaving The Orphanage

After the world was hit by a meteorite, humans started mutating and gaining powers but so did animals and plants. In the end humans started killing mutated animals and mutated animals started killing humans.

A war broke out and lasted for 18 years. Humans were winning at the beginning thanks to thayre godly intelligence. That was the only thing that made difrance between humans and the rest of the animals. But what if beasts evolved so much that thay even started speaking ?

Humans started losing afterr some beasts started gaining intelligence and commanding less intelligent animals. It appears that some beast that awakened the power of absorption ate other animals to gain a bit of thayre genetics, and make them theirs.

Thay gained strength of the other beasts, their speed, vision and everything thay had to offer. But one day thay stumbled on a group of dead mutated human soldiers, and feasted on them. Thay started gaining inteligents, and started attacking human villages, since thay knew most humans are weak.

Later thay brought other beasts under their command and started attacking cities. And other human residences.

How many humans must have thay ate ? How smart have thay become ?

With so much food their kind started to reproduce like crazy. Since abilities were genetic, after a few years most of the population of the beasts were the ones that had the absorption ability.

As the last desperate attempt, humans made a virus E7 that attacked the mutated genetics, but more specifically the genetics with the power to absorb.

After it was realized most humans got affected by it and died horrible and painful deaths.

E7 did do it job greatly trough. The king and queen of the beasts that were the strongest ones with the absorption mutations died.

After them followed all the weakest beasts and the ones with the absorption abilities. 2/3 were eliminated from the face of the earth. Beasts with absorption powers were no more.

But by that time it was too late, even if there were no absorption power beasts it only ment thay werent getting stronger that fast anymore. But by no means were the left over beast too weak to eliminate the rest of the humans.

After that the Great beasts started already gaining human forms and were as smart as humans. Thay rebuilt the world once more. But now it was better and stronger.

Said the teacher standing in front of the holographic board that was playing an animation for her presentation.

Are there any questions kids ? She asked, and one child with golden retrievers ears and tail raised her hand.

" Yes Chloe ? "

" When can we go out playing it's already nine ! "

The teacher just sighed and claped her hands twice. " okay kids your free to go "

When the children heard the teacher say that thay immediately stood up from the carpet that thay were sitting on and thay all pushed each other towards the class room door " carefull ! " the teacher yelled at the little beastman running out with thayre tails wagging.

Young beastman can't control thayre form yet so thay still show thayre ears and tail, unlike the teacher that looks like a normal human.

" Oh Ryan your still here ? "

A small boy with black cat ears and tail came out. Skin white as snow silver cat eyes and long black hair that reached his knees.

" Yes " Ryan peeked from behind the box of lego in the back of the room.

" Why don't you go out and play with the other kids outside ? " the teacher had an awkward smile on her face

" no thank you " Ryan said quietly still starring down at the teacher making her uncomfortable.

The teacher just gave him a digusted look and walked out of there.

" Teresa ! " said the care taker Emily that saw the teacher Teresa that just walked out of the classroom.

" You okay ? " asked Emily when she noticed her friends expression. " Nothing. It's just, you know that new kid Ryan we got ? Yeah well his creeping me out when he stares at me "

" Oh hush, I'm gonna make sure to disciplin him later " said Emily.

" whatever you say but he still makes me uncomfortable. Anyway when are the families coming "

" in the afternoon after the kids are done eating, so where are thay now ? "

" playgrounds " said the teacher Teresa with a concerned expression after the adoptive families were mentioned.

" Don't worry I'm sure thay will like the children, I'm off to look after them now. " After saying that Emily went down the hallway after the kids and teacher Teresa went her way too.

Thay didn't know that Ryan was eavesdropping on them. " That's my chance to get out of here " he thought after thay mentioned the adoptive parents.

As for why he was so eager to get out of here was because the beasts that were weak ugly or untalented were treated very poorly here.

And Ryan was one of them. Some talented beastman like Chloe were adored and treated well here. Why was Chloe treated well ? Because she showed signs of her powers early on meaning she's strong.

As for Ryan, other then being smart and cute he didn't have any signs of power. So he wasn't beaten up like some other beastman but he still was treated not that greatly. And he wasn't stupid. If he didn't get adopted quickly the treatment toward him will only continue to get worst by the day.

__ after lunch __

Ryan watched trough the window of the classroom after eating. Some pricey looking cars pulled up and some nicely dressed gentleman and ladies came out of the car.

Thay came to look for some capable children to adopt from here. Since this orphanage is known for raising good children, or more like all the bad children always dissappear.

Children for nobility in other words, as these children all were highly educated and thay were all adopted for a high price. Since everyone here is at least above average. And those who aren't ? Thay were saposedly adopted to normal families. Like hell someone would belive that bullshit.

Ryan was already in nice clothes. And ready to meet the families. As he was walking toward the room where thay were sapouse to wait until thay meet the adoptive parents he saw Angelina, a girl that was 8 years old just like him. She had light pink hair that was also quite long and had a few curls at the end. She looked lovely.

When she saw Ryan walking her way he eyes sparkled and she ran toward him. " Ryan ! " She said with a smile.

Ryan only saw her a few times and he didn't like her very much as something abot her made him uncomfortable, even trough she has been nothing but nice to everyone including him. Not like Chloe who bullied the untalented kids.

Just as Angelina the white dove was about to reach her she slipped and the glass of water she was carrying was spilled all over Ryan.

She sat up quickly with her white wings fluttering a bit and said looking at Ryan with a blush, " I'm so sorry ! " She had tears in the corner of her eyes while Ryan was only wearing a frown. " what should I do now ? I can't go meet the adoptive families while being wet. "

Angelina tried to pat down the water from the clothing a bit and touched me all over and made me uncomfortable. " Stop your not helping " She was as smart as Ryan. At least that's what her grades saying. So she should already know that patting down water won't help it but make it worst.

" I'm so sorry, umm I think Miss Emily went to throw out trash in the back. You can go there and ask her for spare clothes. I'm sure she has some. "
