2 Hell On Earth

"What the hell..." Wyatt was in disbelief as he saw the blood red sky and people running away in fear. But there was one thing that really took the cake of impossibility.

Zombies.

These undead beings were eating people left and right, and there was no end on how many zombies were appearing.

"Look out!" Interrupting everyone's daze of shock and disbelief, Gabriel shouted and pushed Tristan away from the table. Seeing this, Dylan and Wyatt didn't even question Gabriel as they rushed out of their seats. A second after that, two figures bashed through the glass window and landed at the table where Wyatt and others were just a second ago.

Everyone at scene screamed as they saw a man being viciously mauled by a zombie. The man wailed his arms uncontrollably, his screams of pain and agony scarring some of the innocent bystanders, and that included Wyatt. He begged and begged for help until the zombie chomped where his Adam's apple would be and his screaming became hoarser and hoarser. Finally, his voice died out along with the life in his eyes as the zombie continued to gorge itself on its meal.

He just saw a man die in front of him. He just stood there and watched how gruesome his death was.

"Fuck!" Dylan cursed when he saw everything happened. It was horrible, extremely horrible.

Right after that, more undead swarmed into the restaurant and mass panic ensued. Everyone clambered to get out of the restaurant as fast as possible. They tried getting out of the entrance, but it quickly got cramped and the entrance was temporarily blocked. The people at the back were really unfortunate as the zombies just grabbed them and made a feast for themselves.

Just as the four were attempting to escape, Wyatt caught the sight of a zombie that was about to clamp it's rotten hands on Dylan.

Seeing his best friend's impending death, Wyatt did not hesitate for a second before rushing towards the zombie. His thoughts of escaping vanished, and was replaced by an urge.

After seeing the man's gruesome death from earlier, Wyatt realized he didn't want to see that any more. He didn't want to see people die around him, especially the ones who were dear to him.

It was as if something that didn't exist inside him before, just suddenly appeared and a feeling inside him became stronger and stronger.

Save! I'll save you!

"Fuck off!" Wyatt shouted as he tackled the zombie that was about to grab Dylan's shoulder by the waist, and pinned it on the floor along with restraining the zombie's hands. The zombie reached it's neck and chomped mindlessly in an effort to eat Wyatt.

Thankfully, these zombies were pretty weak when compared to Wyatt and the zombie was constantly biting at air.

But what Wyatt did was just a spur of the moment. He didn't think about anything except tackling the zombie. He didn't think about the other wandering zombies that had their hands free.

There was one zombie that was near Wyatt and caught scent of him. It approached slowly, but Wyatt was busy pinning down the one under him and the zombie was behind him so he had no clue it was coming for him. Then, the zombie lunged at the unaware Wyatt.

Bam! The sound of something hard could be heard as the zombie that was about to lunge at Wyatt had it's head popped off and the head sailed through the air and landed outside the restaurant.

Dylan panted as he held a broken chair in his hands. Then, Gabriel came out of the crowd with a fire extinguisher in hand.

"Keep it pinned down, Wyatt!" Gabriel shouted as he made his way over him. The head of the pinned down zombie was still biting at Wyatt. Then, Gabriel raised the fire extinguished and swung it downwards as he aimed for the head.

Splat! The zombie's head exploded as Gabriel bashed the zombie's head in and black blood splattered everywhere, especially all over Wyatt who was the nearest.

"Eurgh! Gross!" Wyatt, free from restraining the zombie, immediately stood up and joined with his friends. He tried wiping away the black blood that splattered all over him, but as you would expect from actual blood, it really stained Wyatt's clothes. Ruffling his hair a little bit, he even managed to grab a small, worm-like thing to which he quickly found out that it was a part of the brain of the zombie. He quickly let go of it.

"Quick! Let's go!" Tristan called for the three as he stood waiting at a broken window separate from the one near their previous table. The entrance/exit of the entrance was too congested so Tristan managed to find another way: by throwing a chair at a window.

Seeing this, the other remaining people who were at the back followed what Tristan did and broke the windows by throwing tables and chairs and escaped that way.

Luckily, the zombies that had come in earlier were preoccupied by their meals. It was the perfect time for them to escape.

...

The group of four could already hear gunshots resounding on the streets as policemen tried their best in fixing this problem, but their actions were futile. The number of zombies were too overwhelming. They take down one and two would just appear out of nowhere. There was no end in sight on how many of these undead will pop up.

"All civilians, please make your way to the evacuation center immediately! All civilians, please make your way to the evacuation center immediately!" A police officer who had a megaphone held to his mouth informed the civilians on the streets. All the people who were running aimlessly now had a direction on where to go!

As Wyatt came out of the restaurant, he really took in the chaotic scenery in front of him. The sky was red, police carefully firing at the zombies, people getting eaten left and right. It was complete pandemonium in the streets.

"Come on! This way!" Tristan's shout snapped Wyatt out of his daze. He realized that he was just standing there looking at everything. He saw his three friends looking at him with looks of panic, fear, weariness, and worry. Wyatt shook his head, trying to shake off a strange feeling in his head and followed his friends.

"What the hell is happening..."

"Goddamn, this is fucking Hell on Earth."

The four ran the streets as they followed the path of police officers directing them where to go. Luckily for them, Tristan already knew where to go. They ran with Wyatt right behind them, but had a look as if he was troubled.

I know... this. Why do I know this? What the hell is happening to me.

A strange feeling in Wyatt's head kept on bugging him the moment the apocalypse happened. Fragments of images kept popping up in his head, images that looked very much the same like the situation they were in but in different places. He saw a forest set ablaze by crimson flames, towers made out of stone crumbling as dark figures flew from the sky, the image of a little girl smiling, dying in his hands as tears dropped from 'his' eyes.

Wyatt didn't remember seeing any of these in his entire life!

He was too preoccupied in his thoughts that he didn't even notice his friends in front of him stopping and bumped right into Dylan's large figure.

"The fuck, Wyatt?!" The two stumbled on the ground as Dylan threw out a curse at Wyatt for pushing him over.

Now Wyatt had a good view at the reason why the four of them, and pretty much everyone who was running away from the chaos stopped. In front of them was a massive blue ray of light coming down from the clouds. Not long after that, a light blue wave expanded from the base of the blue ray of light and tried to encompass the entire city.

Meanwhile, something was happening inside Wyatt's pockets.

Then, Wyatt's phone started to ring.
