Chapter One: An Unfortunate Accident

'The Emperor of Han' is a popular fantasy harem novel with a historical european system and a historical korean setting wherein the Main Character, Beomseok, was a boy from a slum and was discovered to be possessing a 'Diety's blessing'. He was later then recognized as a child with royal blood.

Later on, he was summoned to the Palace and was taught how to act like a Prince until he mastered everything including the controlling of his blessing. When the Emperor bestowed the unfamiliar prince a new name of Han Wangchul, everyone started to treat him like a Prince... I mean, you can't please everyone so there's an exemption. It's not like there's only one offspring (and was raised in the slums at that) in a Harem of at least 50 concubines. Of course, there are villain princes that would get rid of Wangchul even if it cost bloodshed.

Wangchul, living with his commoner name Beomseok; meaning like a rock, is hard to be defeated. And wearing the golden halo of the main character, everyone who gets in his way to the crown would meet a misfortune. Moreover, along the way of the novel, the cheerful and innocent prince would change into a cold and stern prince who doesn't show any weaknesses.

The Main Character as he is, of course, would be the next Emperor. He was offered a Princess from the neighboring kingdom to indicate strong ties and made her the Empress. Wangchul would also point out some lady from a noble house and make them his concubine to gather more loyal followers.

From a wandering orphan to being a powerful emperor.

Things escalated quickly just like that but how come it is a popular novel? Kwon Sena sighed at that thought as she flipped through pages to later eyed the -The End- words at the bottom.

Sena stood up and brushed some invisible dust off her clothes. She approached the man in all white who's currently focused on his newspaper, "Hey old man. I've done reading this novel. When will you bring me to heaven or what you peeps call another world was that?"

Everyone knows that after death is either a Heaven or a Hell. However, in special cases like Kwon Sena who was murdered by her Best friend by hiring a Truck and was cheated on by her 8 years boyfriend slash fiance— in short, died in an unfortunate event and is heartbroken, she was given another chance to live. Sena thought that she would be reincarnated automatically just like those reincarnation novels but she was confined in an eternal white room together with this old man in white and was asked to read a Harem Novel instead. This is absurd! This white place, this white old man! Even this shitty novel is absurd!

The white old man closed his newspaper and set it aside. Just like an employee who is a target of overtime work and a cold and heartless Boss, he looked at Sena with a gloomy expression, "Aye, child. Are you done? You should've read this while you were still alive. In any way, that's good. Now you know the novel, you can adjust to your new world in no time." 

Sena looked at him with disbelief before answering, "That trash novel? Not bad, not bad. I just hope to be a daughter of a neutral noble! No work but is pampered please!"

'There's no way I would want to mingle with that crazy palace!'

He yawned and closed his eyes when pushing some buttons. "Yes yes, as my lady wishes." 

When she heard a DING! she closed her eyes and felt as if she was being dragged down. She can't help but squeak like a mouse. At last, in her next life, she can live her life to the fullest! She won't entertain suitors and won't trust anyone. Of course, she learned her lesson.

"...jesty" as soon as Sena heard a faint voice, a huge pang in her head followed. 

What now? I thought there's no side effect after transmigrating? What is this headache?

When she tried to stand up, still closing her eyes and supporting her head with her left hand, a pair of hands gently guided her. "Your majesty, are you alright?"

So this is how well treated a noble's daughter is...

Sena immediately opened her eyes and looked around. The spacious room is full of high-quality tools and pieces of equipment. Every nook and cranny screams luxury and on top of that, she was called 'Your majesty' by a lady in waiting who looks like a daughter of a duke who would serve only the Empress.

When the lady in waiting didn't hear a response, she silently checked Sena's wrist and released a sigh of relief, "Your majesty, thank goodness your fever is already gone. If you feel any discomfort, please do tell me."

Instead of an 'I am fine, do not worry about me' response, she mindlessly said, "Say, what is my name."

It was a phrase rather than a question. Albeit the evidence is scattered everywhere about the personal information of the body she got, she is still wishing that her intuition was wrong. Because if she got it right, then her goal to have a peaceful and happy life will only happen on the first of never.

Meanwhile, the lady in waiting was extremely confused by Sena's response. The way she talks and the way the act was so unlike the one she serves. But despite the trivial thoughts she harbor, she replied with a concerned face, "You are Her Imperial Majesty, the Empress Myung Haneul."

Sena's heart dropped at that instance after she heard the name of the character with the most miserable life. Even more miserable than the Male Lead slash Protagonist himself.

Oh, SCREW IT! OF ALL, WHY AM I THE FEMALE LEAD?!
