2 After getting interrupted five times in a row.

I dreamed of talking with somebody; I can't say talking per se because I cannot move my mouth, let alone voice my questions. In that dream, a woman was calling herself Isis.

She looked at me with pitying eyes, and I can't say that I don't understand the words that she's saying. It's like watching an anime when the protagonist says, "Omae wa mou shinderu," and I can understand some of the words.

And so, Yes, she's saying that I'm dead and not to worry because she will give me blessings so I can fight the adversities that will come in our way.

Wait, "Our" way?...

I'm unsure what does that means.

While thinking about what the woman said, I suddenly opened my eyes, and I was blinded by the bright sunlight—surrounded by the forest and the birds chirping. The air is a bit sweet, and I also hear the sound of running water nearby. I tried to get up, but my whole body is aching.

Then I noticed a young girl lying next to me. Sleeping peacefully, She looked young and around the age of 10, with long blonde hair and a face that can be the next child star and the brows... w..wait a minute?!

With enough force, I tried to sit up and saw that we were surrounded by ten old geezers, hugging each other while crying and smiling at the same time.

"AT LAST!...AT LAST! OUR SUMMONING HAD BEAR FRUIT!!!!!" (Geezer 1)

"YES! OLD MIL! WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SUMMONED THE HEROES!!!" (Geezer 2)

"Wha..What di..." (Gian).

"OH, VENERABLE ELDERS!! I ALMOST THOUGHT THAT A DYING CHILDREN WILL NOT WORK FOR THIS SUMMONING!!" (Geezer 3)

Someone cut my monologue.

"Dying Chil.." (Gian)

"IF IT'S NOT FOR OLD MIL'S MAGIC TUNNING, WE WON'T BE ABLE TO SUCCEED!" (Geezer 3)

And... I got interrupted again.

"Where is...." (Gian)

"IT'S GOOD THAT WE HAVE THE LEGENDARY SUMMONER OF THE CONTINENT SURREA HERE WITH US!" (Geezer 4)

"Why did..." (Gian)

"WE CAN NOW PREVENT THE AWAKENING OF THE DEMON LORD AND FIGHT THE FORCES OF DARKNESS!!" (Geezer 5)

Alright, I gave up. After getting interrupted five times in a row, I get the gist of it. This is the usual scenario, Hero summoning/fighting the forces of darkness/preventing the awakening of the demon lord/Gathering the remaining Heroes, and so forth.

I stopped listening to the rumbling of the Geezers after I got interrupted five times. They didn't let me say the lines that the protagonist from another world should've said. Damn it!!

I've started to focus on the girl sitting next to me. She already woke up after hearing the loud shouts of the geezers and staring at me.

"Gian?" asked the girl while tilting her head.

I look into the eyes of the girl and wonder how did she know my name?

"Uhh.. Do we know each other?"

"It's me, Jen." while pointing her finger to her face.

"WHAT?! JEN??? HOW?!"

The Geezers stopped talking after hearing my shout and started looking in our direction. Old mill abruptly came to Jen's side and started checking her body's status. I don't know how he did that, but it seems like he teleported from his position 15ft away. AWESOME!

While checking Jen's body, old mil's face is starting to get paled.

"No, No, No, This can't be!" (Old Mil)

"What's the matter?" (Gian)

Without answering my question, he moved beside me and checked the status of my body. At the same time, his face became alarmed and teleported back to the geezer's side.

I tried to focus all of my hearing on this old mil, and with a small voice, he said.

"The girl's condition is not in line with the mana capacity of a hero, and the boy's condition tuned perfectly with the mana... no, that's wrong... it's more than the mana of a hero. It seems like an on par with gods."

All of the surrounding Geezers exclaimed in shock, and upon closer look, some of them have horrified expressions.

"Old mil! Does this mean that we need to.."

Ah shit. I don't particularly appreciate where this conversation leads. I've read enough novels and mangas to know that some of these characters are afraid of what they can't control. I tried to stand up slowly and took the hands of Jen while smiling.

"Are you hurt? Can you stand up?" (Gian)

"Un! Nothing hurts; I feel like I can sprint from PICC to Mall of Asia without stopping." (Jen)

"Uhh, I think that's too extreme. calm down" (Gian)

then I whispered,

"We're gonna run for it. Hold my hand, and whatever happened, don't let go, okay?"

"Run? Where to?" (Jen)

Trees and mountains surround us, and one of the geezers can teleport. AHA! this is a terrible situation! Good question, Jen!

Well, fuck me think of a way me!!

While pondering, I heard a notification sound.

DING~!
